Fox Entertainment has renewed the hit medical drama Doc for a 22-episode second season, it was announced today by Michael Thorn, President, of Fox Television Network. The freshman series’ premiere scrubbed in at over 16 million viewers, making it Fox’s most-watched debut in over five years.

Fox has officially renewed the medical drama Doc starring Molly Parker (House of Cards) for a second season. The renewal comes with just one new episode remaining in the series’ first season.

The 10-episode freshman season wraps up on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The just-announced second season will expand to 22 episodes and is expected to air as part of Fox’s 2025-2026 primetime lineup.

Move over Paramount, Netflix is coming for your audience of Western fans. The biggest streaming platform is trying to capture the spark that Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone, Landman, and other series have ignited by creating their own Western franchises. The year began with American Primeval, an epic Western thriller about the Utah Massacre, and while it wasn't critically acclaimed (though MovieWeb loved it), it was certainly popular. A loose adaptation of the late author Lois Duncan’s 1973 young adult novel of the same name, Hewitt portrayed Julie James in the 1997 film and its follow-up, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998). Scott Wolf’s role in the new Fox drama Doc has marked a homecoming for the veteran actor, who became a household name in the ’90s when he starred opposite Matthew Fox and Neve Campbell in the network’s drama Party of Five.

While talking up his latest gig opposite Molly Parker during an Austin TV Festival panel Tuesday, Wolf says he has come “full circle in an amazing way” by starring in a medical drama “that resonates the same way that [Party of Five did] with me.”

Based on a true story, Doc follows Dr. Amy Larsen (Parker), a brilliant but irascible surgeon who forgets the last eight years of her life after she was involved in a car accident. It premiered Jan. 7 on Fox.

The theme song for "The Big Bang Theory" is a fast-talking deluge of pseudo-nerdy references that are juuust incorrect enough to drive real-life nerds a little big crazy. The full version of the theme, rarely played in its entirety before the show, included enough brainy references to be clever, however. It talks about bipeds evolving, the continent of Pangaea, and it contains the lyric "Australopithecus would really have been sick of us," which I deeply appreciate.

Right now, Scott Wolf is on our screens as a doctor on the new Fox drama Doc — and he’s hiding quite the secret — but it’s far from the first drama he played a medical professional. Eleven years ago, he starred as Dr. Jake Hartman on Everwood, which ran four seasons (ending in 2006). When TV Insider recently spoke with Wolf, we had to ask him about his time on that teen drama. “Everwood was a really wonderful experience. Moved my wife and I to Utah, where we still live. A chance encounter on Valentine’s Day brings them together as they race through New York City to return a lost engagement ring and save one couple’s special day.

The Dick Wolf-produced Prime Video series stars Bellisario in the lead role of Officer Traci Harmon, a veteran cop with a chip on her shoulder after experiencing a career-altering call years prior. By her side is Larracuente's Officer Alex Diaz, a rookie cop coming into the Long Beach Police Department with a high level of hope.

On Call represents Bellisario's first main role on a television series since her breakout in Pretty Little Liars. She starred as Spencer Hastings on that mystery teen drama for 160 episodes in the 2010s. Larracuente is coming off of television success with roles in hit shows like 13 Reasons Why, Party of Five, and The Good Doctor.

Bradford English had a screen acting career that spanned from 1971 to 2010, and over those 39 years he racked up more than 70 credits – but for many of us, he’s best remembered for playing the drunk, abusive blowhard John Strode in the 1995 horror sequel Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. Sadly, we lost English right before Halloween this year, as it has been reported that he passed away on October 25th in Pasadena, California at the age of 82.

English was born in South Orange, New Jersey on January 16, 1942. His obituary can be found online and says he “was a true force of life and was filled with love. He was a husband and a family man who was survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart Cecelia Gail English. The winner of the streaming wars may spend billions of dollars on original movies and TV shows, but letting any of those shows live beyond a few seasons is a rarity. 2019's young adult series "The Society" was one of those shows that was a one-and-done, with the series lasting just a single season. But that wasn't the original plan. So, why was this popular series canceled after only one season?

For those who may not be familiar, "The Society" follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to an exact replica of their wealthy New England town, only with no trace of their parents to be found. The series hailed from Chris Keyser and Marc Webb with a promising young cast led by then-up-and-comer Kathryn Newton.
