The Taiwanese Version is only available on VHS. Most of the differences in the Taiwanese Version are extended plot scenes and extended shots. Altogether this Extended Version is approx. 2 minutes longer than the well-known Theatrical Cut.
About 9 minutes of footage were cut out; most of the missing scenes include plot or comedic elements. Granted, most of the footage that was cut out is not really relevant, still it seems to be unnecessary. Towards the end of the movie there are a few violent sequences that were cut out, which might annoy fans.
Ling Wu Chung decides to hide from the chaotic world. Before leaving, he visits his friends, a tribe of snake-wielding women warriors. However, he finds that the tribe have been attacked, and their leader Yam Ying Ying has been abducted.
