Little Carl does not live up to J.C.'s high expectations and is pressured by his father's "you can do whatever you want" philosophy. J.C. is also unhappy with his wife Laura and is rarely home - he spends almost all his time at the brewery, where he is working on a large and innovative expansion. J.C. has become a man of influence, power and money.
