Pamela Anderson‘s long-awaited opportunity to showcase her acting chops has finally arrived with The Last Showgirl, a role that took three decades to materialize.
In this emotional ensemble drama directed by Gia Coppola, Anderson plays Shelley, a Las Vegas showgirl who has spent 30 years performing in the same show, “Le Razzle Dazzle.”
The film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Friday, delves into Shelley’s life as she faces the uncertainty of losing her career and navigating personal challenges, including reconnecting with her estranged daughter.
Anderson Talks Movie Preparations And How She Resonated With Shelley’s Journey
“I think I’ve been getting ready my whole life for this role,” Anderson, 57, expressed during a Q&a session after the film’s premiere. Reflecting on her past roles in films like Barb Wire and Raw Justice, she admitted, “It’s the first time I ever read a good script…...

ID’s new series Good Cop, Bad Cop examines crimes committed by the men and women who are charged with protecting the public. Retired Homicide Detective Garry McFadden (I Am Homicide), a 37-year veteran of Charlotte Mecklenburg Pd in North Carolina, hosts the new true crime series that joins ID’s lineup with a six-episode first season.
Good Cop, Bad Cop will premiere on Investigation Discovery on November 12, 2023 at 10pm Et/Pt.
“Featuring interviews with those closely connected to the case and expert insight from McFadden, who has solved hundreds of homicide cases during his own career, each story reveals just how difficult and dangerous it is when the killer is on the inside,” reads ID’s official synopsis. “Staged and covered-up crime scenes make the investigations all the more complex. But these dedicated detectives are committed to capturing the criminals and bringing them to justice, no matter the cost or badge they wear.

Okkervil River will release a career-spanning live album A Dream in the Dark: Two Decades of Okkervil River, out digitally on Friday and October 30th on vinyl.
The four-lp collection contains more than two hours of songs that range from 2006 to 2019. “I’ve always collected and cataloged every live recording of my band that I could, even from the earliest point when nobody was coming to the shows — it’s part of a kind of archival mania that turned out to serve me well,” frontman Will Sheff tells Rolling Stone.

Long before The Rock's Skyscraper, there was Anna Nicole Smith's 1996 action-thriller, which owes a considerable debt to Die Hard...
A high-tech building beset by villains and machine gun fire. A hero dangling from a wire dozens of storeys off the ground. Hostages. Explosions. More machine gun fire. Those are some of the sights that await us in Skyscraper, the latest action-thriller opus from Dwayne Johnson - arguably the closest thing the 21st century has to a star of Arnold Schwarzenegger's stature.

Sure, comparisons with the 80s classic Die Hard are inevitable, but like most of Johnson's best films, including the latter Fast films, San Andreas and the surprise hit, Jumanji, there's the sense that Johnson's in on the joke. He clearly loves being an action star,...

Cartoon pin-up gal Pamela Anderson is launching a pop career. Don’t laugh. She could be the next Jennifer Paige.
Anderson’s first single, entitled High, will hit stores sometime in 2010.
The former Tool Time girl and Playboy playmate has recorded the track, which is about the fashion world, along with her buddy, fashion designer Richie “Rich” Rich.
“We are recording a pop single together. Pamela says she wants to sing, but nothing too difficult, so she’s just going to sing the word ‘high’ over and over,”says Rich.
Rich is right. That isn’t too difficult.
In conjunction with the release, the 42-year-old and Richie will be launching a new clothing line, ‘A Muse’.
The Raw Justice star will model their debut collection at New York Fashion Week in February, with her ex-husband Tommy Lee DJ-ing at their show

I'm sure there are many of you out there wishing lightning really would strike and electrocute the Sci-Fi Channel - or at least some of its executives. I'm afraid that is not what this headline is about. It's a reference to a new original movie in the works over at Sci-Fi titled Lightning Strikes, about a paranormal creature lurking within the lightning that's holding a town hostage.
