    One Funny Show!!

This is a cult classic if I've ever seen one. However, there is no other cartoons like it. It's kinda like Space Ghost Coast to Coast, except the humor is more appealing to a wider audience. It features Brak, a brain damaged space pirate, Space Ghost, and Zorak. There is a bunch of songs on this show (the ones sung by Brak are my favorites) and the 3 talking about random stuff. It's kind of hard to explain, so you really have to watch the show. Too bad it's not on any more...

    Fantastic "Planet"....

Only one man in the universe could wear white leotards, a black cowl, shoot up bad guys with power bands, save the universe and still have time to play dumb for a half-hour.

"Cartoon Planet" features everyone's favorite hero Space Ghost basically acting as if he'd taken one too many shots from his own power bands while singing, orating and making small talk with villains from his old TV show like Zorak and Brak. Together, they make the case that the casting for "Dumb and Dumber 2" has already been secured.

I have no lesser-favorite episodes of "Cartoon Planet" - every show brings out several big laughs and many medium-sized ones. Every once in a awhile, they'll break into a song ("I Love Almost Everybody", "Hoodley-Hoo") or do different kinds of poetry, most of them courtesy of Brak (my favorite - the "I Love Onions" one. Crack up every time.)

But most often, they just get into linear discussions that hold no bearing on anything in particular. The biggest joke is just to see these '60s steadfasts acting so unrepentantly stupid as to risk getting committed. But who knows; maybe when you're as cool as Space Ghost, you can do what you want.

    Nice going, Ghost.

Ten stars without hesitation for "Cartoon Planet". Now, if we could just get a new show for The Herculoids....

Wait a minute Cartoon Network. YOU cancelled THIS?????

I used to watch this show all the time. I would have a really hard time watching the show without laughing at least once. The show is incredibly random, and the jokes are as witty as the Simpsons. The show stars Space Ghost, Zorak, and Brak, as they dish out all the dis and jokes they can in a half hour. There are also sing alongs that are just flat out hilarious, no matter how many times you see them. Another reason this show was so good is because they would have clips from Japanese movies (mainly Ultra 7 stuff) and would use them for making up vacation areas around the universe! I miss this show sooooo much!

    God awful

I love Space Ghost Coast to Coast, so I decided to check this show out. Big mistake. There was no appeal from Coast to Coast here other than the actual characters. Any humor from that show went straight out the window. The songs were terrible. I can't say I'm sorry this show is gone.

    Gone But Not forgotten

This was the best show cartoon network ever had. First cartoon network was a network of oldie cartoons. Until warner bros. bought the network. Then it all started with a man named Merill. Cartoon network had a smash hit show space ghost coast to coast. It was produced by Andy Merill, But Merill had another show in mind. With the creators of coast to coast and made a spin off entitled 'Cartoon planet'. Cartoon planet was a show ahead of its time. It was nothing to do with adult humor like shows now but it triggered adult audiences so it was so popular at the time it was on two channels which was very popular at the time. It made a cartoon legend brak but today he is not portrayed the same as Andy Merrill did before. But on Tbs Tokyo broadcasting system they were allowed to use stock footage of shows like ultra 7. Episodes were giving cartoon network more money, until ultra 7 creators were asking for their money. cartoon network had no choice and pulled off the show forever in 1997. Cartoon planet made the success of cartoon network and I will never forget this show!

    • Trivia
One of the lyrics in the end credits theme is "Now it's time to say goodbye to Zorak and his kin; thank you folks for kindly doin' stuff and droppin' in... Have a heapin' helping of our hospitality". This is a reference to "The Ballad of Jed Clampett", the theme song for The Beverly Hillbillies (1962).

Brak: It's merely symptomatic of our post-modern ennui. There are no absolutes and not to perceive our world as meaningless when it's really your own freedom you detest. I like pork.
