    Calling all SEQUELS!

After the enormous success of The Mask it seemed obvious that a sequel would be in the works. But as we all know we never got that sequel. Instead we got something better! An animated series which is faithful to the movies and "maybe" the comics. I've never read the comics but I suppose. Anyhow, the plots were amazing and the characters and villians were greatly developed. This was truly a fun show. It was great. And Rob Paulsen (Pink & the Brain) did a great voice over! And in my opinion after seeing this great show there really is no need for a sequel. I wouldn't mind one but there is no need.

    Very good

Considering the pile of crap that infests CN in the present, this series really stood out during the time it released (I'm talking about a really long time ago) and was quite innovative in many ways. It was honestly very good. It was quite surprisingly extremely funny using its own unique style of humor. No it is no where nearly as good as the movie itself, which is quite strange, although the movie itself would be something very difficult to live up to and match using animation. It did sometimes almost border on adult themes like the movie but is mostly kids stuff. Very very entertaining for its time although I don't know how viable it would be today as I have'nt really watched it years?

The Mask Rocked my Saturday Mornings!

This was like one of the best shows of the 90s! I really enjoyed the movie, but I liked the cartoon the most. The cartoon was absolutely hilarious and I couldn't get enough of the slapstick humor of that show, it never gets old. All of us fans wish it would come back on TV, but we can only dream though. I also thought that when this rockin' show was real popular to the kiddies (like me), The Mask, Stanley's alter ego was probably every kid's idol and hero, I know he was to me and he still is my idol and hero today. The Mask rocked my Television every Saturday Morning and we all can bring back that memory like it was yesterday. Rob Paulsen did top notch voice acting on Stanley and The Mask and that's one thing we'll never forget. The Mask rocked my Saturday mornings. I'll never forget that show, never.

    Sssmokin!

Definitely one of the best of 90's along with shows like The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest.

The Mask was a cartoon of different domain, especially since it was a shoot off form the hilarious movie with the same title, starring Jim Carey.

Almost all of the time, such projects never live up to expectations, but boy, this one proved to be such a different story!

Enter a gem of a show, intelligent, funny and original. Superb voice characterization and animation. The daily trials and tribulation Stanley Ipkis in a modern industrial city is so life like, and his walk on the wile side as the Mask is something we all wish we could do.

Some how this show will appeal more to adults than to children.

    A must see.

    Somebody Stop meeeeeeeee

Wow while I am writing this review I am having glimpses of this show in my mind....This was truly a rocking series right from the theme song till the end(Too bad they changed the theme song after the first season)...I still remember watching The Mask movie in my cousin's house & went completely crazy & again went to the movie with my Dad(Indian releases in theaters are late)& after that this series started...I used to come running from school to watch this show weekdays at 4 to watch it on Cartoon Network ....This show was damn funny. Many episodes are memorable to me.I wish they would release this on DVD...I will buy it with whatever money I have now(I am still studying)...Somebody Stop Meeeeeeeeeeeeeee...Smokinnnn

    • Trivia
Frequently, when Rob Paulsen was recording for the voice of Stanley Ipkiss/The Mask, he would receive notes from the producers and directors that Jim Carrey would do it a certain way so he should try it more the way Carrey would do it. Eventually, at the suggestion of Tim Curry, Paulsen said to them, "I'm not Jim, and I can't be Jim. The whole reason you guys got me is because you can't afford him. So if all you want is for me to be Jim, then maybe I'm the wrong guy for this part." They paused for a moment and then apologized for making him feel that way, and he never received another note of how he "wasn't doing it the way Jim would."

The Mask: I gotcha with my winning smile, I'm a living lesson in flair and style / Ya just can't help but stare at my savoir-faire! / I'm nouveau, Deco, Roman-Greco, Rococo, Baroque-o, bebop, uh, hip-hop, flip-flop... Somebody stop me! / Pretty viridian faces like mine don't come a dime a dozen, I stand out in the crowd! / Babe, when they made me, yeah, they broke the mold / Wholesome and kind, and staid and refined / TOTALLY OUTTA MY MIND! / Arch-villains and ne'er-do-wells, had better learn to decorate prison cells / Green goes with anything if they ask, see? / Well, there's one last thing I gotta sing about, open up wide and really shout, "Ooooohhh, look out! THIS IS THE MASK!" Smokin'!
