A big game in the Big Easy calls for big commercials, and this year’s roster delivered. From the snack brands (Lay’s and Taco Bell) to the streamers (Disney+), and a generous sprinkling of Matthew McConaugheys thrown in for good measure, here’s our annual rundown of the cream of the crop to the cringe.
Best: Jeep, “Owner’s Manual”
Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most effective. Here we have the world’s crankiest, frankest, and frankly coolest actor, Harrison Ford, with a humble soliloquy for our divided times.

Prolific horror author Stephen King has written a vast number of novels and short stories, many of which have been made into film and TV adaptations. There are some truly great ones, like Mike Flanagan's "Gerald's Game" and "Doctor Sleep," and then there are the not-so-great ones, like the awful cell-phone zombie movie "Cell" and the critically panned but mostly forgettable "Graveyard Shift."
One has to wonder how King himself feels about all of these adaptations. Well, except maybe for "The Shining," because King has made his feelings about Stanley Kubrick's adaptation crystal clear. (He hates it. Like really, really hates it.)
While promoting the film adaptation of "Dreamcatcher" in 2003, King revealed that he also wasn't so hot on another film version of one of his books, even though it was directed by master of horror John Carpenter. The 1983 movie "Christine" apparently "bored" King just as much as "The Shining" did,...

Days of our Lives has always had iconic teen crews, and they’ve always had one thing in common: the teen villainess. Here’s how Sophia could join the ranks of the greats who came before her.
Bad To The Bone
When Sophia was first introduced in Salem, it was as Holly’s (Ashley Puzemis) Bff. But if quickly became clear that Sophia had a crush on Holly’s boyfriend, Tate (Leo Howard), and wasn’t as sweet and innocent as she appeared.
Every great villain has a backstory, and Sophia’s is justified. When she asked Tate to the prom, he only said yes to make sure his relationship with Holly remained a secret. But once Sophia overheard Tate discuss his scheme with Aaron (Louis Tomeo), that’s when a villainess was born.
Sophia had already become disliked by Holly after her several attempts to move in on her boyfriend.

Actor and comedian Ken Jeong, who is currently a judge on Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” is developing a talk show with an eye toward a 2024 launch, according to media reports on Friday.
He taped a test show in New York on Friday, Deadline reported. That’s not a SAG strike violation as talk show hosts are under a different contract and no longer a WGA red flag — as it was for Drew Barrymore and Bill Maher — as writers have gone back to work after successfully negotiating a new contract with the AMPTP.
Jim Biederman of “The Kids in the Hall” will serve as showrunner, writer and director. He’ll also executive produce alongside Jeong for Debmar-Mercury, the company behind “The Wendy Williams Show” and “The Nick Cannon Show.”
Prior to joining “The Masked Singer,” Jeong starred in the ABC sitcom “Dr. Ken.” He also played Ben Chang on NBC...

The Pokémon anime is often full of references to other areas of the Pokémon franchise, with the most obvious being the games. However, it turns out that the Pokémon anime has offered a shout-out to the Pokémon Trading Card Game on several occasions--they've just never made it to the international version.
The idea of the Pokémon Tcg existing in the world of the anime may seem a bit silly, but Tcg cards would likely be very popular with younger kids who aren't yet ready to own or train a Pokémon. It could even function as a simplistic way to introduce the idea of type matchups to children, something that would surely come in handy when they eventually move on to training real Pokémon. The cards that appear look almost exactly like the real deal, even using the same back, although they're usually seen from far away without much detail. No...

Jenny McCarthy stands by her decision to not walk offstage in protest when Rudy Giuliani appeared on “The Masked Singer” earlier this year.
Following a poor rendition of “Bad to the Bone” by George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Giuliani was unmasked as the Jack in the Box.
McCarthy’s fellow “Masked Singer” panellists Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke stormed off while the former attorney to former president Donald Trump chatted with host Nick Cannon.

McCarthy was asked what her immediate reaction to Giuliani’s appearance was on Wednesday’s “Watch What Happens Live”, insisting, “Like everyone that gets unmasked, I [was] completely shocked.
“Everyone is in their own wheelhouse in terms of how they handle their shock. The fact it was a political figure that was polarizing to half of the country [was] hard.
