The relationship between Nina (Cynthia Watros) and her “frenemy” Ava Jerome (Maura West) is one of General Hospital‘s more complex dynamics. They got past the whole Nina stealing Ava’s daughter Avery after she gave birth only to have their bond torn apart over Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), a man they have both loved. The two women are set to interact again in the March 12 episode when Ava comes to Nina to ask her for a favor. Will this ask challenge the duo’s renewed friendship? TV Insider sat down with Watros, who made her daytime debut as Guiding Light‘s Annie Dutton in 1994. She won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1998. Before taking off for Hollywood, landing roles on Titus, The Drew Carey Show, and Lost, she showed just how much she loves the soap opera genre by stepping in temporarily as...

Over the course of a career that stretched back to 1967, Peter Jason racked up more than 270 screen acting credits, turning in performances that inspired legendary filmmaker John Carpenter to name him “one of the great character actors in cinema” – and to cast him in seven different projects: Prince of Darkness, They Live, Body Bags, In the Mouth of Madness, Village of the Damned, Escape from L.A., and Ghosts of Mars. Sadly, Carpenter has now had to take to social media to break the news to his fans and followers that Jason has passed away at the age of 80. Carpenter wrote, “His first movie was Howard Hawks’ Rio Lobo. He was a dear friend and I’ll miss him terribly.“
It is true that the 1970 film Rio Lobo was Jason’s first theatrical feature, but he already had three years of TV acting to his name at that point, with credits...

Movies about Rome often bring to memory emperors, gladiators, Julius Caesar, and aristocrats. Many people also think of William Shakespeare, as the Bard himself wrote frequently on the subject in his plays. Outside of Shakespeare and adaptations of his work, Ancient Rome played a big role in massive studio movies since the early days of silent films. Some of the most renowned movies in cinema history have been set in Ancient Rome, including some of the world's earliest blockbusters with headline-grabbing budgets, such as Ben Hur's then-recording-breaking $15 million dollar production cost in 1959.
Movies set in the Roman Empire fall into the "sword and sandal" movie subgenre, though the movies set in this specific corner of the ancient world are renowned for their tendency to have massive sets and budgets to match. The increased budget brought with it big risks, but the best movies set in Ancient Rome often ended...

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 introduced many new players to the grim dark universe of Warhammer, topping sales charts as the most successful entry in the franchise. While Space Marine 2 is an incredibly fun experience, there's more to the franchise than just hacking and slashing virtual Tyranids. Taking advantage of this newly revitalized interest, Games Workshop has released a new product that is a simple yet engaging entry into the original tabletop game.
The Warhammer tabletop isn't exactly the most beginner-friendly experience, having a steep learning curve and high entry cost. Despite this disconnect with new players, Games Workshop hasn't given up on indoctrinating a new generation of dedicated fans. Taking advantage of Space Marine's renewed popularity after a decade since the events of the original game took place, there's no better place to start playing Warhammer than with this newest tabletop accessory.

With more than a decade between the first Warhammer 40k: Space Marine, and its successor, Space Marine 2, gamers were concerned about the new game failing to reach the heights achieved by the previous title. The development was being handled by a different studio altogether, Saber Interactive, instead of Relic Entertainment.
Space Marine 2 is a massive hit that’s linked to the Halo franchise in many ways. (Image via Saber Interactive)
However, Space Marine 2 has absolutely smashed it! Critics and fans of the franchise believe Saber has delivered a game that is a fitting tribute to the venerated franchise and a worthy sequel to the first game. What’s really special about Space Marine 2 is that it manages to replicate the exact nostalgia that Bungie managed to deliver with Halo: Reach and Halo 3: Odst.

Space Marine 2 has created an extreme hype that Focus Entertainment has never faced with other Warhammer 40K games. Therefore, it is pretty natural that some issues will occur, and one of the most common problems has surfaced. The game clip leak issue started happening with one of the most anticipated games of this year.
Spoilers often started circulating before a game is officially released. That’s a known issue that almost all overhyped games face. Naturally, Space Marine 2 is not an exception, and only a few weeks before the official release, players have started encountering game clips on social media.
Focus Entertainment Failed to Prevent Game Clip Leaks Before the Official Launch
Developers usually put years of effort behind a game’s complete development process. Therefore, they definitely don’t want others to spoil all these efforts only by taking clips from the game and releasing them on social media.

The Brad Pitt starrer World War Z isn’t a staple of the zombie genre, but it did inspire the upcoming sequel of Saber Interactive’s Space Marine in a way. Not that the game has anything to do with zombies, but it did give a go to the 2019’s game of the same name, which eventually turned out to be a pivotal player for Space Marine‘s gameplay.

Rebel Moon stars Djimon Hounsou and Staz Nair have revealed which character they believe should have their own spinoff following the events of Part Two: The Scargiver. The second half of the first planned story in the budding sci-fi franchise saw the varied main cast drive the Imperium away from the moon of Veldt. However, with all but two major characters surviving the final battle, the movie left lots of doors open for a wider franchise in the future.

Titus Kaphar’s Exhibiting Forgiveness premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday.
“Some things can’t be worked out on canvas,” Andra Day says to André Holland in the drama, but some things can come alive on-screen and off-screen.
That certainly proved true now at the Sundance Film Festival, where Kaphar and Exhibiting Forgiveness just had a true moment. A packed Eccles Theater gave this afternoon’s premiere of the acclaimed painter’s feature directorial debut a resoundingly enthusiastic reaction.
A round of applause and cheers during the closing credits clearly caught the attention of suddenly busy buyers in the audience. As Kaphur and cast members Holland, Day, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and John Earl Jelks took the post-screening stage to a standing ovation, you could see a number of those buyers out in the lobby Asap and on their phones. Located somewhere between a classic opera, a modern dance piece, and a deadly fever dream — between the timeless beauty of ancient myth and the modern nightmare of America’s current immigration policies — Benjamin Millepied’s “Carmen” is stretched across a few too many borders to ever feel like it’s standing on solid ground. The Motion Picture Academy’s decision to ban Will Smith from Oscar ceremonies and events for 10 years as discipline for slapping Chris Rock is little more than an extended time out for a playground bully. It’s a toothless penalty that lays bare the shallowness of Hollywood morals.
At this point, the only person who can redeem the integrity of the Oscars is Smith himself. He needs to come to grips with the gravity of the offense he committed: slapping Rock, live on March 27 in front of millions on the Academy Awards stage. Smith needs to express-mail his golden trophy back to the Academy and publicly state something to the effect of: “Out of respect for the 94 years of honor conferred upon this award, I do not in good conscience feel worthy of being its custodian.”

Legendary and Warner Bros Pictures have closed deals for four original cast members of “A Christmas Story” — Ian Petrella (Randy), Zack Ward (Scut Farkus), Scott Schwartz (Flick), and R.D. Robb (Schwartz) — to join the sequel to the holiday classic, according to an individual with knowledge of the project. The film’s original child star Peter Billingsley is set to reprise his role as Ralphie in the film.
The new film, intended for HBO Max, is titled “A Christmas Story Christmas” and will take place in the 1970s, 30 years removed from the original film, which was set in the 1940s. It will see an adult Ralphie bringing his own kids to his home on Cleveland Street to give them the same Christmas he had growing up. The film will aim to have the same period attention to detail in re-creating the ’70s as the original film did with the 1940s, and...

I've always loved being outdoors in the country. In fact, one of my most cherished childhood memories was the time my dad and I built a porch for my great aunt's wife. Her wife was kind and funny, and she had the best snacks. She was also the first openly queer person I'd ever met in rural Missouri - as far as I can remember - but she certainly wasn't the last.
Since then, I've come out as bisexual and I've lived in two of America's largest and most queer-friendly cities: New York City and Los Angeles. I lived in neighborhoods where rainbow Pride flags were the norm, I saw queer couples holding hands, and even kissing without fear. It was wonderful, and completely foreign to me as someone who was born and raised in a conservative Christian family in the rural Bible Belt.

Olympia Dukakis, who died on May 1 at 89, had a face like no one else’s. Stern but perpetually amused, with a warm leer of a grin that could light up a scene, she looked like the comedy and tragedy masks fused together. That’s a fitting reference, since Dukakis was of Greek heritage and, in a stage career that stretched back to 1961, appeared in classics from “Electra” to “Titus Andronicus” to “Long Day’s Journey Into Night.” Yet even when she was carving out her place in movies and TV, often cast as the Grande Dame Who’s Smarter Than Anyone in the Room, the Dukakis face, part cherub and part statue, made it seem that whatever reality she was confronting, she saw the absurdity of it, and the heartbreak as well. She hopscotched from one ethnicity to the next: Italian in “Moonstruck,” Southern aristocrat in “Steel Magnolias,” Jewish in films like “The Cemetery Club.
