Featured review
I watched "Kroniki Domowe" (Home Chronicles) with interest. The film's main character is a 12-year-old boy-Witek (Marcin Markowski), the son of a small-town miller (Krzysztof Kolberger), a former entrepreneur who, after the war, settled down in a small town as a craftsman. The boy's mother (Grazyna Szpolowska) is a beautiful and subtle woman who takes care of raising the children and running the household. A gallery of picturesque characters passes through Witek's parents' house, which the boy perceives with warmth and humor. Each guest experiences their own little drama in this mosaic story. To me, the attitudes presented in " Home Chronicles" were mostly true, but I had a problem with the credibility of the characters. Unless you interpret them in a symbolic way. The acting was good, and the film contained some memorable scenes. But still it left me emotionally uninvolved and only half satisfied.
