When it comes to making an immersive open-world RPG, few developers can match CD Projekt Red’s attention to detail. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn’t just a masterclass in storytelling and world-building; it’s also a treasure trove of cleverly hidden references that would make even Dandelion’s jaw drop.

While most players were busy chasing after Ciri or playing endless rounds of Gwent, the developers were having a field day sneaking in easter eggs that range from the obvious to the delightfully obscure. And speaking of obscure, there’s one particular reference that perfectly captures the studio’s knack for paying homage to other fantasy franchises.
Hidden away in a rather precarious location, there’s a tribute to Game of Thrones that’s so perfectly executed, it makes you wonder if Geralt somehow stumbled through a portal into Westeros.

Hank Bradford, the clever stand-up comic who performed a half-dozen times on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson before serving a five-year stint as head writer on the program, has died. He was 88.
Bradford died Jan. 18 in Los Angeles, his family announced.
Bradford did uncredited dialogue rewrites on the Burt Reynolds-starring Smokey and the Bandit (1977) — when he got the script, “it wasn’t a comedy,” he revealed to host Mark Malkoff on a 2017 episode of The Carson Podcast — and wrote for such TV shows as M*A*S*H, Private Benjamin and Three’s Company.
The Brooklyn native made his first appearance on the Tonight Show in September 1966 when it was based in New York. He got a spot inside the writers room in 1969, succeeded Marshall Brickman as head writer in 1970 and moved with the show to Burbank in 1972.

For the most part, it seems that Hogwarts Legacy has lived up to the expectations of witches and wizards, but the game could still take some lessons out of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's book. The latter is one of the most critically acclaimed RPGs of all time, and although it's thematically quite different from the Harry Potter prequel, it can offer some valuable insight into how the game can become an even more magical experience than it currently is.
Luckily, Hogwarts Legacy already shares quite a few similarities with The Witcher 3. Both games feature an expansive, open-world map full of places to explore and people to meet, several talent trees that pertain to specific abilities and attributes, and a complex combat system that uses magic - although Hogwarts Legacy gameplay involves a customizable wand instead of mutant Witcher abilities. That being said, there are numerous ways in which the two RPG titles differ,...

Comedian Rory Bremner has claimed that there is a "serious problem" with the lack of political satire on British TV. The impressionist, who appeared on Channel 4 politics series Bremner, Bird and Fortune between 1999 and 2010, claimed that the lack of an engaging politics show and the apathy from the public towards politicians was worrying and "a great shame". "I think there is seriously a problem with satire at the moment. There is a problem because the link between people and politicians has eroded after the expenses scandal and lots of other things," Bremner told Digital Spy. "First there was That Was The Week That Was, then we had Mike Yarwood doing Ted Heath and Harold Wilson impressions, then there was Spitting Image and then there was our show Bremner, Bird and Fortune. "But the point about those (more)...
