Arlene Francis and Soupy Sales in What's My Line? (1968)

Trivia

What's My Line?

Edit
When future President Jimmy Carter (then a governor) appeared on the show, it was not as a mystery guest; the panel was not blindfolded because at that point his face was still not recognizable by the average American. His name was more recognizable, so he was identified only as Mr. X.
Future president Jimmy Carter appeared on the show while he was still governor of Georgia.
Future President Gerald Ford was a mystery guest when he was a congressman, identified then as Jerry Ford.
The opening animation for the show features three-panel sliding cartoons of 8 different characters, who get "mixed and matched" as the theme music plays. In order, they are: Photographer, Baker, Pilot, Dancer, House Painter, Jackhammer Operator, Trapeze Artist and Astronaut.
  • The Photographer is completely hidden behind the camera, with only the arms visible.
  • The Dancer is the only obviously female character.
  • The Baker's feet are never shown.
  • The House Painter's feet are the only part shown.
