The man who was worth millions.

The film begins with a medley of songs of the "special guest star" Line Renaud who portrays the café owner's wife Hippolyte the waiter (Darry Cowl) is in love with ..so in love he takes an insurance life in her favor ; although the woman is indignant ,the men are not so scrupulous and Hippolyte becomes overnight the one you got to get rid of. Not only the husband, but also a mechanic, an undertaker, even a pimp !But the more they try,the more their victim seems indestructible (hence the title) .

It is a pleasant comedy full of black humor, and Jean Boyer , who had been working in the field for more than a quarter of century , prevents Cowl from hamming it up ; but the situations are not fully exploited ,in spite of a funny unexpected final twist.
