Dua Lipa launched the second half of her Radical Optimism tour in Melbourne, Australia, with a performance of “Highway to Hell,” an homage to the AC/DC hit. Lipa’s delivered a raw, velvety rendition of the Australian band’s classic song, as fans in the Rod Laver Arena Monday chimed in for the roaring chorus, “I’m on a highway to hell.”

Lipa performed her first of eight shows in Australia as part of her Radical Optimism tour. Next, she heads to New Zealand, Spain, and France and lands in the U.

Rascal Flatts and the Jonas Brothers have teamed up for “I Dare You,” a lovelorn anthem that sees the country act and pop band sharing vocals.

On the track, Rascal Flatts — Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney, and Jay DeMarcus — kick things off with the first verse while the Jonas Brothers — Joe, Kevin, and Nick — take over on the second. The Jesus Lizard have unleashed a new standalone single called “Westside.” The track is the second non-album song to be unveiled since the September release of the band’s comeback LP, Rack.

“Westside” follows “Cost of Living,” the previous standalone single that was released in November. While neither track made the album, the two songs are connected.

Guitarist Duane Denison explained, “‘Westside’ goes along with the previous single, ‘Cost of Living,” which was subconsciously influenced by Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story and hence the name. Really.”

Indian filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s Netflix original film “Amar Singh Chamkila” is a hit for the streamer, bowing at No. 1 across South Asia and No. 5 on its global Top 10 chart.

The film is a biopic of Punjabi musician Amar Singh Chamkila (Diljit Dosanjh), who rose from obscurity working in a socks manufacturing factory to becoming the most sought after performer in the region alongside his wife Amarjot Kaur (Parineeti Chopra). Chamkila’s suggestive lyrics that were rooted in rural Punjabi life were described as vulgar by many, and he came under pressure from religious and political groups to stop and received death threats. His local musical contemporaries were jealous of his success. In 1988, Chamkila, Kaur and two of their band members were shot dead. The assassination remains unsolved.

Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has signed on as an executive producer on Poacher, an upcoming Prime Video investigative crime-themed drama series based on real events from QC Entertainment, the film production and finance company with credits for Antebellum, Us, Get Out and BlackKklansmen. Bird up! Adult Swim will get even more chaos from The Eric Andre Show, renewing the series for season six. The pick up was revealed during Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront presentation on Wednesday.

“Expect more deranged pranks, fire, and chaos in Season 666 with a jam-packed schedule of celebrities I can’t believe agreed to this,” said Andre.

Unfortunately, it also means she can see other spirits as well, including the one that pushed her daughter to kill herself.

"There's a door to the other side – this opens that door." Terror Films has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror titled Trip, from indie filmmaker Neil McCay (also of Eleven previously). This is heading to streaming right away on the AVOD channel Terror Films in early May, if anyone is interested. "Sorrow and despair are the villains in the frightening Trip." Following her daughter's suicide, a grief-stricken mother is visited by an unconventional therapist who offers a hallucinogenic drug that will allow communion with the dead. Desperate to understand her daughter's psyche, she accepts the offer and soon finds herself terrorized by her daughter's identical experiences. This also sounds like a cautionary tale about how bad hallucinogens can be. The film stars Akasha Villalobos, Major Dodge, Peggy Schott, Jill Young, and "Chucky" star Björgvin Arnarson. Visually this film looks quite bland, but maybe there is something more to the story.

Joel Coen recently directed a film without his brother, Ethan Coen, for the first time, and the result was 2021's "The Tragedy of Macbeth," a pretty darn terrific movie that re-imagined Shakespeare's classic tragedy as a black-and-white, noir-flavored, expressionist nightmare. Now, it seems that Ethan is getting back in the director's chair for a solo project of his own, despite the Coens' longtime composer, Carter Burwell, having previously claimed that Ethan "didn't want to make movies anymore" and instead intended to focus on writing original plays for the time being.

Key figures on Spain’s shoot scene have urged Spain’s film-friendly government to raise caps on incentives for international productions shooting in Spain to a muscular €30 million ($33 million) per title.

Current ceilings are €18 million ($19.8 million) for the Canary Islands, €10 million ($11 million) for the rest of Spain.

The call for a muscular rise in incentives was made at Spain’s Málaga Film Festival, as industry figures including Fernando Victoria de Lecea, line producer on Wes Anderson’s 2021 Spanish shoot “Asteroid City,” sketched a possible roadmap to take full advantage of the country’s extraordinary $1.8 billion Spain Avs Hub state funding which has begun to flow into events such as Málaga’s Spanish Screenings and the bullush promotion of Spanish series at Series Mania.

"Cobra Kai" creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald are reportedly working on the film, with Hurwitz and Schlossberg having written the original screenplay, with rewrites by Nicolas Thomas.
