Released approximately two years after filming had wrapped in 1998.
Jamie Donahue said she arrived in New York the night before she was set to film and she and the director of photography went out and got very drunk. They both had bad hangovers during shoots the next day.,
The film was originally given an NC-17 rating due to its strong sexual content which delayed the film from being released until September 2000.
The film was finally released in the late Summer of 2000 after Amanda Peet's breakout performance in the surprise hit comedy The Whole Nine Yards (2000) starring Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry in which she stole the film from both stars earlier in the year.
