Gaano kadalas ang minsan?

1 review
9/10

A well made movie, good dialog and nice acting

Viva films went to the comics drama in the early 80's but made sure that they were classy and had theme songs and good actors. Although Gaano Kadalas is not based on comics, it certainly feels like comics, like it's predecessor Sinasamba Kita, both starring Vilma Santos. This movie revolves around Hilda Koronel (Lily) who desperately wants a child and does everything to get it. The late Dindo Fernando plays the husband and Vilma, the friend. I don't get tired watching this, what with the fancy dialog, written by Danny Zialcita (and Adrales). I also fancy the ending, unlike other Filipino endings. It also represents the golden years of Viva when it made worthwhile projects. Although not as socially relevant as say, sister Stella L, Gaano Kadalas certainly is fun to watch, especially with the 3 leading stars acting their best.
