Its latest tactic is to add free movies to YouTube. Wbd has put more than 30 full-length films on the social video platform to stream at no cost, as long as you don’t mind putting up with a few commercials.

Key Details: Movies featuring Kevin Bacon, Chevy Chase, Robert De Niro, and other stars are streaming free on YouTube. None of the films are currently available to stream on the company’s platform Max. Wbd licenses plenty of content to Fast platforms, but has made no public progress on its own Fast platform. Character actor John Capodice, whose roles included a memorable performance as a law enforcement officer in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, has died. He was 83 years old.

Capodice's death was confirmed by a post on the website of the Pizzi Funeral Home in Northvale, New Jersey. A cause of death was not divulged, though Capodice died on Monday, Dec. 30, according to his obituary. It was noted that the actor "was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who had the pleasure to meet him."

Exclusive: Arthur E. Friedman and Steven Jay Rubin are developing a limited series that will explore the life of actor, Congressional Medal of Honor winner and World War II hero Audie Murphy.

Friedman and Rubin have acquired rights to the 1959 Murphy biography No Name on the Bullet, written by Don Graham. The producers have teamed with Graham’s widow Betsy Berry for the project, and the search is now on for a writer to adapt.

The series will tell the unfiltered story of Murphy’s life, from his time in the Army fighting in WWII to his ascent as a Hollywood leading man in the 1940s and ’50s.
