this was a great movie, for being so short of a movie! i've seen this one 2 or 3 times and it doesn't get old. for the budget that this movie looks like it had, it was excellent. my favorite character was the preacher, with his obnoxious southern preaching and his dancing for the lord, haha. i just wish all troma movies were like this one (if only sgt kabuki man was as short as this one, it would have probably been good). highly recommended and it doesn't even take long to watch.
What can I say? I loved this movie! I can see where it wouldn't be for everybody, but it was for me. I don't know when I've laughed so hard at things so dumb, but this movie has plenty of dumb funny scenes. A particular favorite is the ride in the car when Wade swears Ken is gay. I totally love it. Yeah sure, it's low budget, no big stars, Troma, sub par acting, but come on! Isn't that also what makes it great? Does every movie have to be academy award worthy before it is "good?" The badness of this movie is what is good about it. The fact that a movie like this even got made is a good F*** to Hollywood and all its hype. I hope there will be a part 2.
Okay. The title of the film is called "Buttcrack," and it is about a dead guy whose butt crack turns people into zombies. DO I HAVE TO SAY WHY THE FILM WAS BAD!!! I only saw the movie because as a film critic it is what keeps my family fed and brings bread (and money) to the table. What baffles me was that this film was actually made! The actors were obviously working at a movie theater hoping to make their big break from the first (but after this film, also their last) film. Besides the God-awful title, the dialogue was not clever and sounds as if the script was written by a mentally challenged monkey who can write (but shouldn't) in English. But this film goes under the third worse film of all time in my book, following "Songs from the Second Floor," and "Killer Klowns from Outer Space."
Excellent film regarding the intricate world of Wade "Buttcrack" Jenkins. The poignant portrayal of a man living in oblivion to his repulsive buttcrack. In addition, this film provides a plethora of low brow chuckles, from Wades atari addiction, to the gruesome zombie buttcrack. If should be asked to look past the films obvious monetary short-commings, it is still sure to please those familiar to Troma's other movies. Once again, a great Troma figure has been created, with the heralding of Preacher Man Bob, and his fantastic respite towards all things unholy !!!
Brian (Doug Ciskowski) just wants some time alone with his girlfriend (Kathy Wittes). Unfortunately, his roommate is a real pain in the ass. Wade "Buttcrack" Jenkins (Caleb Kreischer) just can't keep his pants up. He should be a plumber. After a plan to get him out of the house so Brian could propose failed, he lost it and accidentally kills Wade.
But, Wade's sister (Cindy Geary) is a witch and brings Wade back from the dead. Now, we have a buttcrack zombie on the loose. Not a lot of gore, but what you would expect in a cheap film.
Sure, it is low budget, but it is funny, and the performance of Mojo Nixon as Preacher Man Bob is over the top.
