I can't believe nobody but me has reviewed this documentary! I understand that the subject of this won't appeal to everyone, but everybody should watch this at some point. It's not pleasant, but it's what really happened in Florence that tragic day.
Florence means a lot to me, and it's sad that such a beautiful city (which was at the pinnacle of its beauty and glory at the time) suffered such a tragedy. Eventually it was restored to its former beauty and glory, but still it was very sad.
As far as I know, nothing quite like this has since happened there, and let's hope it never does.
Filmed both in Italian and English, it works well this way and it's a very-well made documentary of this natural disaster. And the fact that it was filmed in black and white fits well the depressive mood of the subject, it transmits the feeling that Florence suddenly became bleak (and it did), a striking contrast to what was such a colorful city before it happened.
