"South Park" is a 3-D style comical romp through 4 epsoides of the hit TV show. The game basicly has you playing as either Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and of course..Cartman. Battling through Four epsoides, trying to stop a comet from hitting the town. While the games control factor is not that great. It does however dilever some strong 3-d graphics, and a good story line. I recomend this game to all "South Park" fans, but if you hate the show. Leave it alone.
PC VERSION: For me, this video game had a lot going for it; I've been enjoying the TV series for some time and I loved the recent movie, plus this game is a first-person-shooter - a particular favourite game type of mine. So I should have been all set to thoroughly enjoy the antics of Comedy Central's animated fab four. Unfortunately, the programmers singularly failed to capture any of the South Park magic. There's no story per se - you simply wander around shooting turkey after turkey (or any one of the few tedious 'bad guys') using a variety of orignal yet boring weapons - actually you may as well use the infinite snowballs as the game is just so easy. Occasionally you'll meet a larger 'boss' who's predictably easy and mind-numbingly tiresome to kill, and then it's onto the next uninspiring, graphically identical level. Sure, the eye candy is extremely true to the SP series and the leap into 3D is a pleasing one... but once you load up the game and play for a few minutes you realise that the game is a hurried, repetitive waste of time that leaves you feeling very conned. Quite how this game got released is beyond me! Did Matt and Trey ever play it? What an apalling use of such a fantastic license. Respect my authorat-a and AVOID!
South Park is a really interesting game, it's a better game than you think. South Park best quality is being super faithful to the TV-Show. It's chock filled with references and laugh out loud humor that made the show so special in the first place. The weapon selection is pretty creative too, like Nerf guns, plunger slingshots, dodgeball, and classic snow balls. South Park gameplay is where it's at its worse, at times it can be fun and engaging as you run through a 3D South Park as the 4 main boys and defeating the enemy's. On the other hand, the game sometimes feels like it's repetitive and mindless. The environments can be dull as well and can feel like a horror games. Overall, South Park will be best enjoyed by fans who are in love with the series, but for a causal, it might be best to stay away.
I played this game till the clone blob, and I must say I didn't like it very much, it really descend from the rest of South Park (like there is much more).
If you take, like say, Black Stone: Aliens of Gold (anyone who knows what it means probably isn't reading this so I'll change metaphor), no, Doom. Add an unusable jump feature, change the theme to South Park, lower all the blood and gore, hit it a few times with a sledge hammer and you got South Park: The Game.
This game is a complete waste of time and money, not to mention useful brain cells, don't buy it, don't download it, don't look at it, and I even suggest not being in the same computer store with it.
It's totally icky and I will spare you the details of the story line.

I loved South Park and Turok as a kid, and since this was made by Iguana, this was definitely my cup of tea. Any old school South Park fan from the 90's, like me, enjoyed this game.
A strange, evil comet enters Earth's orbit and flies over South Park, causing all sorts of crazy events to happen. After being informed of this by Chef, the four protagonists, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny set out to save their town from destruction.
The gameplay is very similar to Turok, but more simple and linear. You control one of the four boys, kill enemies, stop the tanks from reaching and destroying South Park, and reach the end of the level. You use an assortment of wacky weapons, like dodgeballs, a plunger gun, cow launcher, and Warpo Ray. You'll encounter familiar enemies, like mutant turkeys, dim-witted clones, and grey skinned aliens. Each chapter had a boss at the end, none of which were very tough to beat except for the final one. Besides that, there wasn't much else to do. There are no bonus objectives, no collectibles, and no secrets to find.
The graphics and sounds were pretty good, but the level designs were pretty barren and straightforward. Still, it was interesting to see the South Park in 3D instead of 2D, and the developers did a good job capturing the aesthetic of the show.
The humor and dialogue were by far the best part of the game. It was even funnier during multiplayer and hearing your favorite South Park characters yell and swear at each other as they duke it out, with bleeps censoring the worst profanity for extra humor. The quirky music, composed by Darren Mitchell, was enjoyable, too.
While not the best South Park entry, it was a good start for the franchise in the gaming world.
