Jay-Z and Beyonce are reportedly gearing up for a legal showdown with Kanye West after the rapper went on a now-infamous social media tirade, hurling bizarre and offensive claims about their children.
It has already been reported that several individuals close to the Yeezy founder, including his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, believe that he didn’t just cross the line this time but bulldozed right over it.

Paul McCartney, Ava DuVernay, Taika Waititi, Cate Blanchett, Natasha Lyonne, Alfonso Cuarón, Matrix co-creator Lilly Wachowski, Ben Stiller, Carrie Coon and Lily Gladstone are among more than 400 entertainment industry power players who want the Trump administration to hold the line when it comes to artificial intelligence and tech companies’ desire to weaken copyright rules.
“We firmly believe that America’s global AI leadership must not come at the expense of our essential creative industries,” the group wrote the White House Office of Science and Technology in an open letter that began circulating over the weekend.

Plot: A studio exec (Seth Rogen) who finds himself promoted to the top slot at the studio has to juggle his wish to make great films with the pressures of his new job.
Review: What professions are most often depicted in movies and TV? Certainly, doctors, lawyers, cops (and criminals). To that, I’d add the Hollywood exec. Pretty much ever since they started making movies, Hollywood has been doing films about their business, with many of them classic tales, like the first two versions of A Star is Born (the latter two took on the even sexier music industry instead), Singing in the Rain, The Last Tycoon, The Player, Swimming With Sharks, and – on the small screen – the too quickly cancelled Action, and Entourage among others.
Yet, it can’t be denied that those earlier versions, even if they were at times scathingly critical, also adhered to the romance of the business.

Over the past two decades, the Academy Awards have been in a constant state of flux: There are now 10 best picture nominees instead of five, the membership has grown (and diversified) by more than 50% in that time, streaming releases now routinely vie for the top prize. Amid all that change, one constant remains: For 20 years, U.K.-based Shorts International has been working with the short film nominees to get their work seen around the country. The theatrical audience for those releases grows each year, to the point that the “2025 Oscar Nominated Short Films: Live Action” package (which just crossed $3 million at the box office) is on track to outgross even best picture nominee “Nickel Boys.”
First up in an all-around strong (and impressively international) selection is the Croatian short that won the Palme d’Or at Cannes last year, “The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent.” Set...

The motion picture carries multiple definitions, depending on who you ask. To some, it’s an art form that’s worth preserving for posterity; for others, it’s entertainment and a means of escapism. Throughout the 1980s, big-budget action-adventure films were all the rage. Many of these action forays featured stars like Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the latter of whom starred in a meta-examination of the genre in Last Action Hero. Released in 1993, Last Action Hero blurs the lines between the manufactured world of cinema and the reality that so many audience members are eager to seek refuge from.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose box office appeal has remained relatively consistent for the past few decades, has starred in many films that take place in a wildly exaggerated facsimile of reality. Last Action Hero incorporates elements from The Purple Rose of Cairo and Cinema Paradiso to examine the deep love that...

Warning: Spoilers For One Piece Arcs After Season 1 Of The Live-action SERIESThere have been promising signs regarding the future of the One Piece Live-Action adaptation, but with a possible season three adapting the beloved Alabasta arc, the show's success may depend on the arc's most crucial character, Baroque Work's leader and Warlord of the Sea Crocodile. Actor Joe Manganiello got cast for the role in September, and the talented performer has some significant sand-filled shoes to fill.
Season one of Netflix's One Piece Live-Action adaptation did a surprisingly great job of bringing the beloved franchise to life in a digestible package that found a way to appeal to both fans and those unfamiliar with Eiichiro Oda's modern epic. By the end of its first eight episodes, the adventure of the newly formed Straw Hat crew had shifted gears towards the foreshadowed Grand Line. News that season 2 would...

Everyone knows that Kryptonite is Superman's greatest weakness in DC lore, but what most aren't aware of is that he has an even darker weakness. An unlikely enemy has harnessed the power of Planet Krypton's black lightning, and this mysterious weather phenomenon has the capacity to transform Superman into an unstoppable killing machine.
In the "Weather War Over Metropolis!" story from Action Comics #441 - written by Cary Bates with art by Curt Swan and Bob Oksner - Superman and the Flash track down Weather Wizard, one of Flash's villains, as they investigate unusual weather occurrences. When they confront him, Weather Wizard reveals that he's been studying Kryptonian weather, and he informs Superman that Krypton's black lightning can force him to commit murder.

Chris Pratt’s Jurassic World Prediction ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Call it fate, call it the universe, or just Chris Pratt being Chris Pratt, but the dude predicted his Jurassic World role five years before it happened. In 2010, long before he was out there riding dinosaurs and flexing his raptor-whispering skills, Pratt was still rocking the lovable goofball Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation. But in a behind-the-scenes clip, now comedy gold, Pratt threw out a joke that would later turn into his reality.
Picture this: It’s the Parks and Rec set, and Pratt’s doing some DVD extra footage when his flip phone rings. Instead of just checking it, he pulls a complete comedic stunt. “Man, I just got a text message from Steven Spielberg. God, so annoying,” he deadpans. As he pretends to type a reply, he says, “Sorry, Steven. Parks and Recreation asked me to do behind-the-scenes,...

Quick Links The Longstanding Dynamic Between Superman and Lois Was Broken in the 1990s Superman & Lois Had Many Storytelling Advantages of Man of Steel Superman & Lois Showed Why the Man of Steel's Moral Purity Isn't 'Boring'
The following contains spoilers for Superman & Lois Season 4, now streaming on The CW App.
New entries in any decades-old storytelling universe are often controversial with the diehard fans. This is why it was such a surprise when The CW's Superman & Lois debuted to near universal acclaim. The characters as portrayed by Tyler Hoechlin's Clark Kent and Elizabeth Tulloch's Lois Lane stood in stark contrast to other recent Superman adaptations, especially 2013's controversial Man of Steel.
At the time it was released, Man of Steel was very divisive among Superman fans. While some appreciated the new angle on Kal-El's origins, others were disappointed in his characterization. Particularly controversial was Superman's decision to kill General Zod.

Quick Links How Lois Lane Has Changed Through the Multiple Eras of Superman Stories Lois Lane Has Inspired Kids For Decades Alongside Superman Superman & Lois Gives Viewers the Most Mature Version of the Characters Yet From Surviving Cancer to Connecting With Doomsday, Lois Lane Is a Hero
As important as Kal-El is to people, Lois Lane is an equally, if not more, important character in the DC Comics' mythos. At a time when sexism was ensconced in society as a virtue, she was always more than just "Superman's girlfriend." However, Superman & Lois broke a trend involving Lois Lane that persisted in the comics and other adaptations for the characters' 86-year-history. By making her and Clark Kent parents of teenage boys, the series finally allowed the characters to truly grow up.
Elizabeth Tulloch first played Lois in the Arrowverse. She and Clark Kent were a couple, but they weren't yet married.

When James Gunn put together The Suicide Squad, Warner Bros. didn’t plead for Robbie’s return. The studio raised their hands and said, “We love Margot, but do your thing; we’re cool.” Gunn spilled the tea to SlashFilm, revealing, “They said, ‘Listen, we love Margot, we would love it if she were back in the movie, but as long as you’re doing what you want to do … we don’t care.’” No big deal, huh? For a minute there, The Suicide Squad could’ve been Harley-free.
But how is that even possible? Gunn had complete creative freedom. And if he didn’t want to bring back Quinn for his version of the squad, he didn’t have to. But, being the genius that he is, Gunn kept what worked. Why mess with perfection, right? So,...

Here’s what made Kate Winslet cry upon meeting Leonardo DiCaprio ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
The two Oscar winners hadn’t seen each other in person since Covid hit, and when they finally did, Kate was a mess. “I couldn’t stop crying,” she confessed to The Guardian. Yeah, we feel that. Now, the pandemic kept them apart, and as Kate put it, it wasn’t like they could just pop over for coffee or dinner. “We’ve missed each other because of Covid,” she said. And for these two, that separation felt like a lifetime, especially considering their decades-long friendship that started when they first filmed Titanic in 1997.
They were babies back then—21 and 22, respectively. Kate remembers it fondly, saying, “I turned 21 on that shoot, and Leo turned 22.” Titanic skyrocketed them both into superstardom and their bond. Here’s how Mila Kunis accepted the Friends With Benefits role ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Well, after a dinner with director Will Gluck and co-star Justin Timberlake, they reworked it—and the rest is rom-com history. The Black Swan star admitted, “When I got the script, it was very dated, but I knew it made for a funny movie.” Talk about a formidable first impression. But Mila Kunis saw potential, so she sat down with Gluck and Timberlake to hash out the details.

Jessica Alba Discusses No-Nudity Clause (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Jessica Alba didn’t let Hollywood dictate how much skin she’d show. The Sin City star slapped a strict no-nudity clause into her contracts early on. Why? Her reason’s hilariously relatable: “I don’t want my grandparents to see my boobs,” she told Glamour in 2014. “It would be weird at Christmas.” Honestly, fair point!
For Alba, going nude on screen wasn’t just awkward—it didn’t vibe with her vision. “If you look at the movies I’ve done, getting naked would never ‘elevate’ the picture,” she explained. And she wasn’t wrong. From Dark Angel to Fantastic Four, Alba proved she didn’t need to bear it all to dominate Hollywood.

Which MCU Role Did Emily Blunt Miss Out? (Photo Credit – Prime Video)
Imagine being this close to landing an MCU role and then having to walk away. Heartbreaking, no? That was Emily Blunt’s reality with Black Widow in Iron Man 2. The role eventually went to Scarlett Johansson.
In a candid chat on The Howard Stern Show, Blunt confessed that she was initially in talks to become the fierce, badass Natasha Romanoff. But then came the dealbreaker: Gulliver’s Travels, a movie she didn’t even want to make, took priority thanks to a pesky contractual obligation. Cue the heartache. “It was a bit of a heartbreaker for me because I take such pride in the decisions that I make,” Blunt said. And well, Black Widow alongside Robert Downey Jr.? That would’ve been legendary. “I wanted to work with Robert Downey Jr.,” Blunt added.
Instead, Johansson ended up stepping in.

Eventually, we all must say goodbye to loved ones. Whether that is by death or by a choice to no longer be a part of someone’s life, we must reckon with the idea that everyone with which we meet will one day part from us. It’s a thought that gives me a lot of anguish, and one I only was able to fully get closure with by watching Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End . Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End touches death, life, memory and how we honor those we have lost. It is a poignant reminder that connections’ meanings can last long after someone passes on. We’re able to keep them alive by remembering. Frequently, it is not the big events that push me to carry on. It’s the little things — a night of stargazing, a flower crown in a meadow: The impact of such times can leave marks on our lives,...

The Apothecary Diaries goes behind the pretty picture of the Imperial Palace to show the ugliness of internal politics. The protagonist, Maomao, isn’t concerned with wooing every man in her vicinity and concentrates on establishing an apothecary while also using her knowledge of herbs and illnesses to solve the mysteries of the Inner Court.
However, since Maomao is more obsessed with her interests and the mysteries around her, she often mistreats herself. She even tries her best not to attract any attention to herself. A technique that has worked a bit too well, to the point that even fans of the series have forgotten that she is a bona fide hidden beauty.

Reeve and Cavill chose natural methods like diet and gym workouts over steroids to embody Superman's physique authentically. Both actors avoided shortcuts to build muscle, aligning with Superman's values of hard work and dedication. Reeve's determination to bulk up for the Superman role paid off, leading to his iconic portrayal admired by fans to this day.
Taking upon a DC superhero role like Superman comes with a lot of responsibilities, particularly a physical commitment to look the part - making the efforts of the actors in the role all the more noteworthy. From his debut appearance in Action Comics #1, Superman has proven he is capable of feats of super strength. To convincingly bring this level of durability on screen, actors playing Superman generally have to reflect a similar physique - even though ironically, Superman is often shown not needing to work out himself because of the solar radiation that powers his enhanced abilities.

Taz Skylar, the actor who played Vinsmoke Sanji in One Piece live-action season one has recently been getting a lot of love and appreciation from One Piece and anime fans as the actor is preparing extensively for his character in the second season. He has been posting his progress on Instagram and fans are encouraging him.
Taz Skylar as Sanji
His performance in season 1 was one of the best portrayals as he fit perfectly for the character of the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates. He not only looked the part, but he even performed his stunts and prepared for it physically which was a big thing for him as he had little experience in terms of combat and stunts.
However, there was one stunt in the One Piece live-action series season 1 that Skylar considered to be the most difficult stunt and because of that, it was almost removed from the series.

The DC Comics are on fire once again as a new Joker-like villain might be in town. This character, however, is not a villain or even an anti-hero but is lovably known as hope in the city of Metropolis. Yes, we are talking about Superman, and this time, he has gone nutsy-cuckoo!
No, he has not gone into the Arkham Asylum but is left with an evil side in his brain that may never go back. In the recent edition of Action Comics, it seems that Superman might portray a more irrational and erratic behavior since his counterpart Bizarro’s magic spell is heavy on his mind!

Emily Rudd playing the role of Nami in the recent One Piece live-action adaptation series is without a doubt one of the best decisions the casting team of Netflix has ever made. Not only does she play her role with perfection, but she quite literally descends into the character of Nami, essentially giving the best performance on screen.
One major aspect challenge that is faced during the production of any anime’s live-action adaptation is the reproduction of stunts in real life. This was the case with the One Piece live-action series too, but fortunately, they were able to overcome it with the help of the dedicated cast, such as Rudd herself, who agreed to do all her grueling stunt scenes on her own.

Netflix’s One Piece Live Action’s popularity has reached worldwide, and fans are eagerly waiting for the second season, which has already been announced by the producers. Initially, the fans were skeptical about the series, especially after watching how the previous live actions have failed miserably. Exclusive: Planned protests to disrupt the 96th Academy Awards on Sunday could find themselves thwarted by Oscar organizers’ contingency plans.
“We are well aware of the protesters, we have a number of back-up scenarios we can activate quickly if needed,” a senior security official working for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said of the anti-Gaza War demonstrators expected to converge around Hollywood and Highland tomorrow afternoon.
“Working with our partners in the LAPD, we anticipate no problems or delays for our guests and nominees,” the official added, looking around the fenced and already heavily guarded perimeter surrounding the Dolby Theatre on Saturday afternoon as crews hurried to get everything ready for Sunday’s show.
Proclaiming “no awards during a genocide” and a collation of pro-Palestine and pro-ceasefire groups are scheduled to meet up Sunday at the site of the now shuttered Cinerama Dome on Sunset Blvd at 1 p.
