Music brings in more money than grammar.

Robert Florey was born in France but he spent most of his career in America ; he directed lots of TV series, but some of his theatrically released works such as "the beast with five fingers" were successful.

This French effort is not particularly memorable :the umpteenth story of wives who cheat on their husbands (and vice versa) ; this one has a funny beginning ,but it gets lost in musical acts ,and it only comes back to its plot in the last quarter .

To meet her lover,a wife tells her husband she's having singing lessons; but one day the cuckold wants to attend one of them ; panic -stricken, the lovers try to fool the intruder ;there's a music teacher on the place ,but ,as he is absent , they ask a grammar professor to pretend he teaches singing .

Impressed by the skills of the so called maestro, the husband asks him to teach his protégée (and lover ) who sings in a music hall ; as he offers a lot of money, the grammar teacher decides to learn music .

Half pleasant theatre de boulevard ,half music hall; one can enjoy the first half.
