Jeon Do-yeon and Ju Jin-mo in Happy End (1999)

Trivia

Happy End

Edit
Jeon Do-yeon said that the movie marked the start of the second act in her acting career. It is well known that when her parents expressed their concern about her starring in a sexually explicit movie, saying, "You won't be able to marry if you do it," Jeon persuaded them by responding, "You didn't have me become an actress so that I could marry well, did you?"
Director Jung Ji-woo said he deliberately tried not to show during the nude scenes the real large scar Jeon Do-yeon has on her upper thigh, because he thought showing it would perhaps touch too much on a sensitive subject for the actress.
The opening sex scene between Jeon Do-yeon and Ju Jin-mo is deeply graphic. During an interview at Hangul Celluloid, director Jung Ji-woo said: "You are right that the those love scenes were deliberately incredibly explicit and though I don't remember any specific problems in getting the film released, I did share my thoughts about their graphic nature with actress Jeon Do-yeon. I wanted the scenes to feel utterly real and natural and once I had shared my needs for the scene with her, there was no real problem in making the scenes, from my point of view of hers."
