Speedy Ortiz finally got to play a concert for NPR’s Tiny Desk series recently, just ahead of their new album Rabbit Rabbit.
Although bandleader Sadie Dupuis’ other project Sad13 did play a Tiny Desk (Home) concert back in 2020, bringing her main band to the Tiny Desk was a decade in the making — literally. As Dupuis recalls, the band were first invited to the office in 2013, but schedule conflicts (and no time to rehearse) meant they had to politely decline for the time being.
Speedy Ortiz’s request to “do it later” ended up taking quite a while, but their long-awaited Tiny Desk Concert is worth the wait. With seven players total, the band’s four-song set spanned their entire discography, playing one song from each of their albums: “The Graduates” from 2015’s Foil Deer, “Scabs” from Rabbit Rabbit, “Lucky 88” from 2018’s Twerp Verse, and “Plough” from their debut LP Major Arcana.

This Star Wars: Ahsoka article contains spoilers.
The first two episodes of Ahsoka had no shortage of easter eggs and references to other corners of the Star Wars galaxy. From nods to The Clone Wars and Knights of the Old Republic to bringing back several characters from Rebels as well as introducing concepts that go all the way back to the Legends continuity, the latest Disney+ series is an absolute feast for fans who love deep cut lore.
While showrunner Dave Filoni absolutely wears his Star Wars nerdery on his sleeve throughout these first two episodes — and Thrawn’s not even shown up yet!!! — one of the show’s very best easter eggs is not as immediately apparent unless you know where to look. And can read the runes that we initially mistook as Aurebesh, the standard in-universe alphabet of Star Wars, but that actually make up a new writing system unique to Ahsoka.

Getting the Haruspex title in Destiny 2 can be a complicated endeavor if you are not focusing your efforts on the correct set of tasks. The new equippable title was added to the popular online shooter with the Season of the Witch, also known as Season 22. The title is aligned with the season’s magical theme and reflects your investment in the new and limited-time content in Year 6. As a part of Year 6, however, it can only be acquired during this period. This means that once The Final Shape expansion is released on February 27, 2024, kicking off Year 7, it will become impossible to acquire Haruspex.
This will happen because all the related seasonal content will be removed on that date, opening space for more new content. As such, if you want to get the Haruspex title, you will need to complete a series of 10 objectives before February 27. Not all the goals are particularly hard to conclude,...

Let’s face facts: Xbox Game Pass is kinda awesome. The subscription service features an ever-growing library of titles and is generally cheaper than purchasing a major new game every month. That is good news, especially for Xbox Series S owners who rely on that service’s cloud features to keep up with a rapidly advancing new generation of gaming. Of course, since 2023 is going to be full of must-play games, and only some of those games are coming to Game Pass right away, it’s important to keep up with which new releases you’ll be able to play via the service on day one.
Unlike PlayStation’s game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass often features new releases available to subscribers on the day that they launch. While the Game Pass library is also filled with retro, indie, and other third-party games, it’s the service’s collection of...

We may only have several home entertainment releases for this Tuesday, but as the saying goes, “quality over quantity,” because this bunch of Blu-rays and DVDs are a stellar lot of films. One of my favorite horror films of 2017, Mark Duplass’ Creep 2, makes its way home on November 28th courtesy of The Orchard, and Scream Factory has given Rob Reiner’s adaptation of Stephen King’s Misery the Collector’s Edition treatment (and deservedly so).
For you cult film fans, both Death Laid an Egg and Deathdream (aka Dead of Night) get the HD treatment this week, and other notable releases this Tuesday include M.F.A., Rememory, Super Dark Times, Woodshock, and Trailer Trauma 4: Television Trauma.
Creep 2 (The Orchard, DVD)
Sara, a video artist primarily focused on creating intimacy with lonely men, thinks she may have found the subject of her dreams after coming across a stranger’s online post.
