Directed and produced by David L. Cunningham (To End All Wars), The Wind & the Reckoning takes place in 1893 on Kauai, after the Hawaiian Kingdom had been overthrown by agents and Hawaii-based citizens of the United States and just as an outbreak of leprosy engulfs the tropical paradise. Mike Fenton, the legendary casting director who worked on the “Back to the Future” franchise, “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and scores of other classic movies and TV shows, has died. He was 85.
Fenton co-founded what is now known as Casting Society of America in 1982. He was a prominent casting director for more than 40 years, with a mile-long resume that stretched from “The Andy Griffith Show” and “That Girl” to “Chinatown,” “American Graffiti,” “The Godfather II,” “Blade Runner,” “A Christmas Story,” “Norma Rae,” “Footloose,” “Honeymoon in Vegas” and “Chaplin.”
“Working with Mike Fenton was like working in a candy store — he made casting a blast,” Steven Spielberg said in a statement. “His fervent support of actors was the stuff of legend, and after landing a part, any actor’s smile was rarely as wide as Mike’s. He didn’t just support actors, he launched crusades.

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios are celebrating the impending release of Wonder Woman with a special in-game event for Injustice 2 players. Starting now until June 5, all players of the all-star DC brawler will have the opportunity to unlock a special set of gear modelled directly after the costume worn by Gal Gadot in the movie. In order to unlock the dazzling alternate costume, console players will need to participate in the multiverse event “To End All Wars,” with those on mobile also able to obtain the gear, as well as a few neat extras, such as character cards, through play.
This is the first tie-in event to be held for Injustice 2 since it launched earlier this month, and it’s unlikely to be the beat ’em up’s last. With the long-awaited Justice League scheduled to arrive later this year, new costumes for the likes of Batman, Green Lantern and...

Sean Fahey, founder of Black Jack Press and mastermind behind the outstanding weird west anthology series, Tall Tales from the Badlands, has begun a Kickstarter campaign to launch a new anthology, Sagas of the Northmen, featuring one of medieval Europe’s most feared cultures: the Vikings. On the Kickstarter page, Fahey states, “In the tradition of the medieval Icelandic Sagas, our book features tales about (seemingly) ordinary men and women finding themselves in extraordinary circumstances. The subject matter explored in this inaugural volume is expansive and includes stand-alone tales about the infamous raid on Lindisfarne, Leif Erikson, the Icelandic justice system, the Viking funeral ritual, the Varangian Guard, the Viking warrior ethos and Freydis Eiriksdottir’s expedition to North America.” These are some truly epic tales from Viking history. The raid on Lindisfarne was a brutal attack by the Vikings on English villagers and marked the beginning of the “Viking Age.

Even though it was known as the "War To End All Wars," World War I has ultimately become overshadowed by the even bigger conflict that followed 20 years behind it. Now, 100 years after fighting broke out in Europe, a web series is looking to re-evaluate the first world war. The series is called The Great War, and it is educating viewers about World War I, all in real time. The "real time" gimmick is central to The Great War's appeal. Essentially, new episodes coincide with the military actions that took place exactly a century ago. The series began on July 28th, which was exactly 100 years and one month after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo. A few months later, new episodes chronicle battles all across the continent: The Russians are defending their homeland in the final years of the Tsarist regime, the Germans are learning what happens to...

Beloved Pictures has secured the film rights to C.S. Lewis' "The Great Divorce." This is from the bestselling author who gave us "The Chronicles of Narnia" series.
The first two books under the "Narnia" banner, "The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe," and "Prince Caspian"), were translated brilliantly on the big screen by Disney and Walden Media. Lewis was also the focus of the Academy Award-nominated film, "Shadowlands," starring Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger.
"The Great Divorce" is an adventure tale about one man's journey from the post-apocalyptic world of Grey Town to the outskirts of heaven.
Beloved has hired director David L. Cunningham ("To End All Wars," "Seeker: The Dark is Rising") to helm.
