A classy cast plays it straight in this enjoyably daft action epic about the crossbow sharpshooter forced to shoot an apple from his son’s head
Nick Hamm lets rip with some gonzo Game of Thrones craziness in his retelling of the William Tell myth with a blue-chip cast. Limbs get chopped off in a style I haven’t seen since the days of Monty Python’s Black Knight. It’s the story of the 14th-century Swiss folk hero and crossbow artist, a peaceful farmer and huntsman who has endured continual tyranny and humiliation at the hands of his Austrian Habsburg masters, and finally rises up against them on a coward-of-the-county basis; the flashpoint being made to shoot an apple from his son’s head for the sneering amusement of the Habsburg nobleman Gessler.

`Marvel introduced Special Presentations as a way to focus on smaller stories within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans were treated to two back in late 2022 with Marvel's first trip into horror with Werewolf By Night, and then The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special focusing on a misadventure with Drax and Mantis.
There hasn't been any news on what fans could expect for future special presentations despite obvious fan interest, except for rumors that a Mephisto special presentation might be on the way. There are plenty of characters who deserve their very own solo adventure in the MCU, some of whom have already appeared.

Part of what many fans love about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is how Marvel Studios hints at the next big event or reveals surprise character introductions with each movie. It evokes one of the most iconic things about Marvel Comics, with big font stingers exhorting True Believers to stay tuned. Even if the onslaught of MCU media has worn deep tracks in the greater film/TV audience over the last decade, there's still a thrill to a well-executed stinger or credit cookie.
However, for every promise that the Avengers will return or a tease of Thanos' threatening rise to power, there's a chance that we might not see a cool hint pay off down the road. There are several things that have been teased in the MCU, especially in credits scenes that have yet to yield any significant results. While that can be disappointing, especially for fans of newly introduced characters or plot threads,...

Warning: Contains spoilers for Uncanny X-Men #2!!Since the founding of the X-Men, the Xavier Institute was their homebase, and a place of refuge for the world's wayward mutants. Yet now it has taken on a very different role in the post-Krakoan era of the franchise; the school is now Greymalkin Prison, and the mutant known as Siryn has been revealed as its first prisoner.
Uncanny X-Men #2 written by Gail Simone, with art by David Marquez offered a look inside the horrifying Graymalkin Prison, created from the shell of the former Xavier Institute. As the nightmarish creature called "the Hag" hunts mutants to drag them to confinement, Dr. Ellis approaches the first of her mutant inmates: Theresa Cassidy, aka Siryn.
Claiming Siryn as a prisoner is a bold move for Greymalkin Prison, and a major twist for this new Uncanny X-Men run, hinting at how dangerous the people in charge of it truly are.

Genndy Tartakovsky’s Fixed gets the Coyote vs Acme treatment at Warner Bros. after the studio decided not to release it. With the relaunch of Warner Bros. WB earlier abandoned the Scoob! prequel, Scoob Holiday Haunt!, and Coyote vs. Acme. They also passed on Bruce Timm’s Batman: Caped Crusader, which luckily found a platform in Prime Video. The Eternals' future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe just got a little murky. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed that there are currently no plans for a sequel to the 2021 superhero movie.
In an interview with Inverse, Feige revealed that there "are no immediate plans for Eternals 2. There are, and I think youve seen maybe in a trailer weve released recently, an acknowledgment of some of those events. Certain giant things came out of the ocean." The Marvel Studios president is referencing the recent Captain America: Brave New World trailer, which briefly featured shots of a battle over Tiamut Island, the landmass that formed when the Eternals defeated a giant Celestial emerging from the center of the Earth. It is believed that Tiamut Island will be a major plot point in both Brave New World and Thunderbolts*.

Although a relatively simple boss fight, especially whenever compared to the difficult remembrance bosses lining this expansion, this is an unexpected one. With the proper knowledge and preparation, you should be able to easily find and slay the Black Knight Edredd.
While some Shadow of the Erdtree bosses, like the Divine Dancing Lion and Rellana, Twin Moon Knight , are required to complete the DLCs main story, Edredd is one of many optional fights. Smith and Martin Lawrence may be in the career wilderness but the serial rule-breakers are back with a winning cop comedy

The McU's upcoming Blade movie has been plagued with production issues, but a good Blade movie shouldn't be hard to make. If you keep up with our updates, you’ve probably noticed that ‘Blade’ gets mentioned almost weekly. We often share news about plot changes and delays. It’s safe to say this movie’s had a rough time in development – there have been a lot of rewrites and some big names backing out. The latest rumors, from Daniel Richtman, just confirm what we shared a few weeks back: ‘Blade’ won’t be a period piece anymore, and Mia Goth is still set to play the villain.
Additionally, it’s said that the movie will connect to the ‘Midnight Sons’ project. Currently, it’s set in the present day. Michael Green has reportedly been brought in for rewrites and is now the sole scriptwriter for the movie.

The rarest Fortnite skins, like Black Knight and Renegade Raider, are sought after by players as a rite of passage. Epic Games' Fortnite has been the most popular battle royale game following its launch to global popularity in 2017. "I would hope that she's able to cross paths with other superheroes as well, for example, the Avengers, like you mentioned. That would be a dream come true if she was able to meet any of the Avengers or even if she was in Daredevil [Born Again] season 2. We just don't know.

"Deliverymen must be tough." Netflix has revealed a teaser trailer for another large-scale sci-fi series from Korea, this one titled Black Knight, based on the comic series known as Delivery Knight. This will debut for streaming in May. Netflix has been developing tons of Korean films and series, specifically lots of sci-fi, including JUNG_E, Space Sweepers, and The Silent Sea. Black Knight is set in the year 2071, when it is impossible to live without a respirator due to extreme air pollution. The Korean peninsula is a wasteland, so delivery drivers play a crucial role in the survival of its inhabitants. The legendary delivery man who goes by the name "5-8" with extraordinary fighting skills meets a refugee who dreams of becoming a delivery driver, the only hope of refugees. Rumors of Blade cutting Black Knight support a troubling theory regarding the Avenger’s future in the MCU. After Mahershala Ali’s voice cameo in Eternals’ post-credits scene, it was widely assumed that Marvel’s intention was to continue Dane Whitman’s MCU story in Blade. It seems that this was indeed the plan, but now it’s been reported that Marvel has since decided to remove Kit Harington’s character from the movie.
Eternals’ post-credits scene provided evidence that Marvel was gearing up to properly transform Sersi’s human love interest into the Black Knight. This naturally raised all sorts of theories about Dane’s MCU future, including the possibility of the character being on hand for the next Avengers film. Plus, there was the impression that he’d be fighting alongside the titular vampire hunter in Phase 5’s Blade movie. But if the rumors of Black Knight’s...

Netflix has officially delivered a release date for their webtoon adaptation Black Knight. Based on the critically-acclaimed series Delivery Knight by Lee YunGyun, the Korean drama will tell the story of delivery men, known as the titular black knights, in a dystopian, polluted world who are tasked with getting essential supplies to people in need. With a new poster that sets up the drab and suffocating landscape, the streamer revealed that the series will reach viewers on May 12.

Who is Dane Whitman in Marvel's Eternals and what is his secret family history? Played by Kit Harington, Dane Whitman is featured as the mortal human love interest for the Eternal Sersi, though he's also the hero known as the Black Knight in Marvel Comics. While it seems as though Dane has yet to come into his own as the Black Knight of Marvel Comics origin in Eternals, there are a handful of teases and hints throughout the film that set up his future debut as the wielder of the Ebony Blade, including Dane's allusion to his family secret history near the film's end.
In Eternals, Dane Whitman is featured as a co-worker of Sersi's (Gemma Chan). He's also her current boyfriend, but he is largely sidelined from the action. It's notable that the moments where Dane is featured are mainly focused on his family. Not only does Sersi gift...

Blade might have cut Kit Harington's Black Knight if a new rumor about the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is to be believed. Harington, known worldwide for playing Jon Snow in HBO's Game of Thrones, first appeared as Dane Whitman in Marvel Studios' Eternals in 2021. One of the movie's post-credits scenes included Whitman picking up his family's legacy sword, the Ebony Blade, and as the character watched the black goo on the blade move, he was met by an off-camera voice — later confirmed to belong to Mahershala Ali's Blade.
According to Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic, Marvel Studios reworked the Blade script, and the current iteration of the Blade movie does not see Black Knight appear.
Sneider already had reported in the past about how the previous Blade script had frustrated star Ali, and ultimately contributed to the movie losing its director and seeing its release date get pushed.

The upcoming Agatha: Coven of Chaos might end up recasting a powerful magical character from Marvel Television history. It came as a big shock when Marvel announced that Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness of all characters would be getting her own Disney+ series, yet it's steadily become one of the more intriguing projects coming down the pipeline. Presumably, it will be picking up on Agatha after Scarlet Witch’s spell imprisoning her in Westview is lifted upon her supposed death in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Aptly, many are expecting Agatha: Coven of Chaos to bring back Scarlet Witch somehow, but that expectation should probably be lowered.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos was recently been pushed back to 2024, leaving Loki and Secret Invasion as the only MCU Disney+ shows for 2023. It’s interesting to think about how a supernatural series will play into the Multiverse Saga and if it...

MCU Phase 4 subtly dropped a nuclear bomb into the Marvel Cinematic Universe when it introduced the Ebony Blade, Eternals' post-credits mystery McGuffin for the future of Kit Harington's Dane Whitman. The MCU Phase 4 introduced the Eternals, who not only changed the history of the MCU, but also came with Kit Harington's Dane Whitman — a potential new MCU Avenger. The Eternals team is formed by Sersi (Gemma Chan), Ikaris (Richard Madden), Sprite (Lia McHugh), Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), Druig (Barry Keoghan), Gilgamesh (Don Lee), Thena (Angelina Jolie), and Ajak (Salma Hayek), but the story mostly focused on Sersi and her relationship with Ikaris. Sersi is the most empathetic of Marvel's Eternals team, and at the beginning of the movie, she was in a relationship with history professor Dane Whitman.

The Black List founder Franklin Leonard kicked off the virtual Sundance panel “Array 10: A Decade of Disruption” by chatting with Array founder and Emmy-winning Ava DuVernay, President Tilane Jones and VP of Public Programming Mercedes Cooper about the origin of the narrative change collective which puts shine on creators and artists of color as well as women filmmakers.
Leonard and DuVernay reminisced about special dinners of Sundance past where, at the first one DuVernay hosted included “more Black folks in the room than at Sundance” as a whole. The conversation shifted to a dinner party icebreaker which Leonard loves to ask his guests: “What is your guilty pleasure movie?”
Cooper claimed the classic Mahogany as her guilty pleasure while Jones said Breakfast at Tiffany’s was hers — DuVernay quickly intervened.
“These are not guilty pleasures ladies!” said DuVernay. “A guilty pleasure is a film you slightly feel hesitant to share — which I will share.

Launching in March, Black Knight: Curse of the Ebony Blade will further expand the fascinating mythology behind the cursed hero and introduce his adventures to a new generation of fans.

Will that be Dane’s fate? Following his epic battle against the King In Black, a reinvigorated Dane has a greater sense of purpose than ever before. But his sword is the key to a new enemy’s evil plan and only the Black Knight can prevent the coming death and destruction.

There used to be a comedian named Louis Ck who had a standup bit about the historical upside of being white. “Here’s how great it is to be white,” he would say. “I could get in a time machine and go to any time and it would be fucking awesome when I get there. That is exclusively a white privilege — Black people can’t fuck with time machines.” Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead’s dense and dingy sci-fi thriller “Synchronic” is, among far too many other things, the story of a Black man who fucks with a time machine. Complications ensue.
This isn’t the first film to broach the subject (“Men in Black III” and Martin Lawrence’s “Black Knight” are just two of the more famous examples), and yet few of them have been as pointed or philosophical about the relationship between race and nostalgia. “Synchronic” may...

On Game of Thrones, Kit Harington played the lonely, taciturn and somber Jon Snow, whose status as a bastard child within the Stark household informed his aloof personality. In next year’s McU film Eternals, he’s set to play the Black Knight, and a broody name like that might make you assume he’ll be a similarly gloomy hero. Well, a new interview with the actor hints that this may not be the case.
Speaking with The Telegraph, Harington revealed that his parents raised him in what he describes as a “gender-fluid” environment, saying:
“I idolised my mum. I followed her around the house. It was because of her that I wanted to be an actor. She used to take us to the theatre at least twice a week. I asked for a Mighty Max and she bought me a Polly Pocket. I asked for an Action Man and...

We haven’t heard any concrete news surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Eternals for months, besides the studio recently dropping the ‘The’ from the title. Minor cosmetic changes aside, anticipation is starting to rise for the intergalactic epic, which has the potential to bring something completely unique to a franchise that’s been around for well over a decade, which is no easy feat.
There’s only a little over five months to go until Eternals hits theaters, meaning that we surely can’t be too far away from a debut trailer, and Marvel might even be considering attaching it to November’s Black Widow in an effort to draw some extra paying customers into the slowly-recovering theatrical industry.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe slowly expands on the rest of its comic book-inspired world, we’re going to meet more super groups than just the Avengers. Among them will be the Eternals, who are getting their own self-titled movie in 2021. Just a few months ago, Marvel fans were gearing up for both Black Widow in May and The Eternals in November. Of course, that’s not to be anymore and we’re only getting the single McU pic this year. With Bw taking the November release slot, the aforementioned superhero ensemble flick has moved to February. That may be a while away, but it sounds like Marvel is working on something to reward fans for their patience.
As pointed out by McU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad, Amit Chaudhari – who’s been accurate when it comes to imminent trailer info in the past – is claiming that sources have told him the studio has got something up their sleeves when it comes to The Eternals. Chaudhari can’t say whether this is a full teaser trailer or perhaps a smaller sneak peek, but apparently something is on its way.

After being pushed back to February 2021 as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Four delays, we’ll have to wait even longer to find out some concrete details about The Eternals. After all, there isn’t much point in trying to predict what’s going to happen in an intergalactic adventure based around a group of immortal aliens that’s set to take place over thousands of years.
We do know that the title characters will be forced to do battle with their arch-nemeses the Deviants though, and with Kevin Feige admitting that the Eternals are more than aware of the existence and activities of the Avengers, they might even be linked to Thanos somehow, given that the Mad Titan’s comic book history places him as the son of two Eternals and a carrier of the Deviants gene.
