The best MTV VMA show ever of all time

This was the best MTV VMA ever, the show had almost all the best singers of that time, shows were amazing, guests and stars were so good, I can keep watching this show forever, it had Janet Jackson, Britney spears ,Limp bizkit, Eminem, RHCP, Christina Aguilera , NSYNC you can't get all this into one show in all other MTV VMAs that came after this. Show had

Janet Jackson — "Doesn't Really Matter" Rage Against the Machine — "Testify" Sisqó con Dru Hill — "Incomplete"/"Thong Song" Britney Spears — "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction"/"Oops!... I Did It Again" Eminem — "The Real Slim Shady"/"The Way I Am" Red Hot Chili Peppers — "Californication" N'Sync — "This I Promise You"/"Bye, Bye, Bye"/"It's Gonna Be Me" Nelly — "Country Grammar" Christina Aguilera con Fred Durst — "Genie in a Bottle"/"Come on Over Baby (All I Want Is You)"/"Livin' It Up" Blink-182 — "All the Small Things"

    The best show ever!

This has been the best MTV VMA's show ever! Hot performers, surprises and great hosts. I have it recorded and I could watch it again million times.

The show's highlights were, at first, the Wayans brothers. They were so funny! I laughed all the time! And then was Britney Spears' performance! How hot! From Mickey Mouse club to strip club (one of the Wayans brothers)! It was one of the coolest things! And then N*SYNC! What a funny camera stuff! You can't forget Christina Aguilera and Fred Durst singing together! It is the only time I actually liked Christina. Others were too, but these were the greatest moments!

Suprises: Britney and Christina on stage together! I was shocked! It was so cool. Jim Carrey making his jokes (again big laughing part). And Aaliyah..... She was so nice in that ceremony... I liked her music very much. I enjoyed the ceremony a lot.

Probably the biggest cluster F in the span of all TV

The 2000 Vma to me was a disgrace. And when I say this I am really talking about the live version which has as much of a chance of ever being played on MTV again as Bill Clinton does of staying president. For some years and with only a few exceptions (ie Chris Rock and Dennis Miller's hosting jobs), all the vmas have been really bad, but this one is the pits. With Robert De Niro (one of the greatest American actors ever) not being able to read a simple teleprompter, audio and video flubs that make my TV class seem like 60 minutes and of course the hosts (Marlon and Shawn Wayans), this awards show gets worse every time I see it and makes me wonder how far we have dropped since the good old days of Honeymooners.

Still, there are a few (and I mean ONLY a few) highlights, one of them being the either intentional or unintentional flub of Rage Against the Machine basist hovering over Limp Bizkit, which made me grin as MTV technicians go frantic. Another being the of course brilliantly hot Britney Spears performance where many guys felt more than the remote in there hand. And Bobby Brown up on stage just saying to Whitney "I don't care right now". And that's pretty much it, and the rest is a must not. Probably though, the biggest undoing of the show has to come from the Wayans. While I thought they were geniuses with Scary Movie, when the 2 of them make up material on music, they are just not funny (and believe me, when a Wayans brother has to show his a** to the crowd, it is desperate). Definately not MTV's best hour, or even their most adequate hour. D-

This year's ceremony is best remembered for Tim Commerford, the bass player of Rage Against the Machine, climbing onto a piece of set scaffolding and refusing to come down after his band lost the award for Best Rock Video to Limp Bizkit.
