Kevin Costner’s The Bodyguard, starring his good friend Whitney Houston is a cult classic today. With the combined forces and fame of its lead stars and an incredible storyline, the film continues to be enjoyed by many even today. So, it is startling to think that a sequel to the brilliant film was in the works starring Princess Diana.

Viaplay Content Distribution has sold Sweden’s “Little Did I Know” – starring Alexandra Rapaport – to Australia (Sbs), Croatia (Pickbox), Basque Spain (Eitb), Indonesia (Mola) and Latin America (Dmd).
The film, which plays in competition this week at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, is produced by Bigster. It follows Petra (played by Rapaport), who is in for a rude awakening: her “perfect” husband, the father of her two children, is having an affair and he wants a divorce. Now in her 50s, she has to face the music. But she also can’t help thinking about her 15-year-old self (Ella Hammarsten Liedberg), full of hope and falling in love for the very first time.
The film, based on Martina Haag’s books, and her own story, is also directed by her.

Kevin Costner has been connected to a lot of projects throughout his tenure as an actor, with one of his most remarkable performances being that of John Dutton in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone lore. This is why, when fans found out the saga was going to get cut short because he was leaving to helm his own Horizon saga, they were nothing short of devastated.

That being mentioned, there has been a lot of controversy about how Costner was going to leave the lore and what was to happen to his character. And, the most recent solution to this problem, shared by the John Dutton portrayer himself, is a completely different one than the ones told before and is one that might as well end up upsetting the Western’s fans.

Kevin Costner was at the top of his career back in 1992, having climbed the ladder of success with his critically acclaimed Dances with Wolves. Meanwhile, pop star Whitney Houston was busy making her way to the top with her magical voice and electric personality. And in true Hollywood fashion, despite orbiting in their own spheres, Costner and Whitney came together in the 1990s to create an iconic masterpiece that still resonates with the audience, The Bodyguard.

Also Huston’s acting debut, the film intensified their popularity and took them to new heights in their already glorious careers. But really it was Costner’s persistence and efforts that helped the movie become a cult classic and his childhood friend Huston to become a Grammy-winning star.

Throughout his entire career, Kevin Costner has starred in multiple award-winning projects, a majority of which have earned tremendous acclaim, like Yellowstone. But one of his works met with such extraordinary heights of success that all his other pieces are yet to surpass. This project is none other than his Western masterpiece directorial debut movie from 1990, Dances with Wolves.

Not only did this film grant him three of his first-ever and only Oscar nominations and two wins, but it also launched him as a household name in the entertainment industry. But as much as his directing and acting skills played a major role in the film’s success, the truth is that the 1990 masterpiece just may have never been made had it not been for Costner’s ‘pain in the a—’ friend Michael Blake!

After a lengthy hiatus, Selena Gomez has returned. During the 2014 American Music Awards, she debuted her new song “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” The emotional ballad desperately tries to explain her attraction/addiction to a teen idol who is careening towards total career implosion at ludicrous speed. In the tradition of young people everywhere experiencing the pain of the “break up, make up” cycle of first love, Gomez set her pain to a backdrop of overt symbolism. Her format? Clip art circa my 1997 goth Geocities website, apparently. But she must have just glanced over it, because she forgot a few key elements to any good visually representation of wallowing in existential agony no adult could ever grasp, much less relate to. Sure she got the blood and roses and the angel wings, but what about these gems? #1 - An understated dark fairy sitting in pensive repose under a full moon,...

Will Chase, who plays Luke Wheeler on Nashville, has an unenviable role on the show. Brought in as Rayna James‘s boyfriend-turned-fast-tracked-fiancé (the wedding is in December, y’all!), he moseyed on in between Rayna (Connie Britton) and her One True Love, Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten). Those of us who have been rooting for Rayna and Deacon to finally reunite might have been a little disappointed when uber-famous, seemingly issue-free Luke swept Rayna off her feet and promised her a perfect celebrity relationship (Ruke? Layna?) and a stable home life — something Deacon could never offer. Chase recently spoke to VH1 about the fan reaction to Luke (“I’ve been getting a lot of ‘Puke Wheeler’ hashtags!”), that amazing ’90s ponytail he donned in a flashback scene, and the buddy-cop spinoff he wants to make with a certain co-star.

On Scandal, Kerry Washington‘s Olivia Pope has a lot of decisions to make: What’s the best strategy to keep the Grant family in the White House? How can she keep Pope & Associates afloat when D.C. is becoming increasingly full of backstabbing crazies? Merlot or Pinot Noir?!
While these are all crucial to keeping Washington, and The Republic, running smoothly, nothing weighs on the viewers more than Olivia’s love life. For three seasons and a handful of flashbacks, Olivia’s heart has been monopolized by an on-again, off-again affair with President Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III (Tony Goldwyn) –save for a short-lived romance with Edison who proved to be much too pure for this world. The main threat against Fitz and his forbidden love being together (while he remains married) is Captain Jake Ballard (Scott Foley). But don’t let the uniform fool you — he comes with his fair share of baggage,...

It’s Miley’s party, and she can do what she wants — including hook up with Mike WiLL Made It? Miley danced the night away with her beloved producer during her well-documented 21st birthday Nov. 24, fueling the flames of that hookup rumor that’s been circling around ever since she broke up with Liam Hemsworth.

The Vampire Diaries, Season 4, Episode 23: “Graduation”
Written by Caroline Dries and Julie Plec
Directed by Chris Grismer
Airs Thursdays at 8pm (Et) on the CW
This week, on The Vampire Diaries: Everyone graduates, we meet Silas, and Elena makes her choice
The Vampire Diaries has had a wildly uneven season four. Yes we’ve had all-time best episodes like “Memorial” and, in particular, “Stand by Me”, but we’ve also gotten episodes that are downright dreadful, such as “After School Special” . The central character has been all but abandoned as a priority, with any agency or sense of self missing from Elena for the majority of the season, the Big Band has been almost completely bungled, and many of the supporting and periphery characters have been written horribly inconsistently. It’s not surprising then that the finale should suffer from many of the same problems as the rest of season four.

Tonight's episode of Scandal may have had a slightly slower pace than previous episodes, but it certainly didn't lack for a jaw-dropping ending:
Who shot Fitzgerald Grant?
"Defiance" had everybody following their intuition, and if Fitz had listened to Mellie's, maybe he wouldn't have be in this position.
I keep playing that scene over and over in my head and I can't decide if Mellie Knew something was going to happen because of the round table and cloak-and-dagger's secret meetings she's been privy to in Fitz's absence... or if she just knew on a gut level that they shouldn't get out of the car. I want to say that she's not so heartless and/or ambitious that she'd have her own husband assassinated, and this was all a big, huge serving of women's intuition. But with her, I feel like we can never be too sure.
Mellie's not capable of assassination,...

As this week's 'Bachelorette' began, I cheerily hypothesized that taking a shot every time Ashley mentioned the B. word would result in a much more enjoyable viewing experience, but a quarter of the way through the show, I realized that the entire audience would be dead of alcohol poisoning by 10Pm if they attempted it.
To be fair, that still might have been preferable to watching Ashley lament the premature exit of her One True Love all week long, but it probably wouldn't have made a good impression on ABC's advertisers.

What’s to love about this movie about love? Lots. The casting of the leads is perfect; Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love, He’s Just Not That Into You) as Rachel is the perfect mix of intelligence, drive and insecurity. Kate Hudson (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Bride Wars) cranks it up to 11 as Darcy, Rachel’s self-absorbed, narcissistic friend. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Donkey (Eddie Murphy) is an intellectual who has never met Shrek, Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow) is still alive. Puss (Antonio Banderas) is fat and lazy and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) is a hunting ogre Now, it’s up to Shrek to undo all of Rumpelstiltskin’s mischief in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world, and reclaiming his One True Love and family.

Few shows have earned as much real estate in my heart as the wonderful WB/CW sitcom Gilmore Girls. Maybe it's the pretentious pop culture devourer in me. Or the hopeless romantic who always wished (and still does) that Rory would ditch Dean and Logan and run off into the sunset with her One True Love, Jess. (Sorry, are you on Team Dean? I will fight you. Team Jess forever!) No show has had as much love for its smart, sassy women, or packed as many caffeine-fueled zingers and indie rock cameos into the span of an hour, than this lovely small town fantasy set in Stars Hollow, Ct.
And yet, despite my overwhelming love for Gilmore Girls, I had major issues with the last few seasons. To be honest, I didn't watch the final episode simply out of spite. But apparently I'm not alone; show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino hasn't watched the entire last season!
