I am an unironic Care Bears fan

Back then, I was the only person in my house who liked this series: My older brother thought they were lame, my mom said it was a stupid show, and even my aunt, who tend to love very sappy shows, disliked this.

But I liked this a lot, unironically.

Yes, this show was very sappy and overly-sweet, but that was kinda the point, isn't it? I still loved this a kid, and rewatching this as an adult, I feet happy remembering my childhood.

It has a certain 80s charm modern saccharine shows lack, and it also had an awesome theme show.

I really hope one day this franchise gets the "Friendship is magic" treatment, finally giving the chance to all the Carebears fans around the world to "come out of the closet" and admit they liked these characters without being shamed by the usual cynical people who puts "irony" in everything.
