Sutter, 36, was killed following an argument with Medina on Jan. 31, 2015. The roommates allegedly got into a disagreement over Medina's girlfriend, which turned physical. Medina subsequently stabbed Sutter multiple times.

Despite his initial self-defense claim, Medina was arrested and charged with murder last year. However, the charge was adjusted to manslaughter, as part of a plea deal.

Medina now faces six years in prison for the fatal incident. He will be sentenced on March 30.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Ricardo Medina Jr. was booked by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on Saturday following an altercation at his home. Per the Times:
