Now, Taylor-Compton and Harris have a podcast called Talk Scary to Me, which is part of the Bloody Disgusting network – and our friends over at Bloody Disgusting have just shared the news that Taylor-Compton and Harris will be directing a movie together! It is, of course, a horror movie, and the title is Last Chance Motel.

Amazon is trying to clear the air after Mandy Moore said the company delivered a package to her in-laws’ home, which was lost in the L.A. wildfires.
Earlier this week, the This Is Us star posted a photo on her Instagram Story of the package Amazon delivered to the demolished home with the text: “Do better, Amazon. Can we not have better discretion than to leave a package at a residence that no longer exists? This is my mother and father in law’s home.”
Amazon has since apologized to the actress and is trying to figure out what happened, according to a statement sent to NBC News.
“Those who deliver on our behalf have been advised to use discretion in areas impacted by wildfires — especially if it involves delivering to a damaged home — that clearly didn’t happen here,” Amazon spokesperson Steve Kelly shared.
Moore also lost her own home to the fires.

As of this writing, author Nicholas Sparks has written 23 novels, and every single one of them has been a New York Times Bestseller. His first novel, "The Passing," was published in 1985, and he immediately established himself as one of the world's preeminent pop-romance writers, authoring broad, tragic stories about unquenched longing, suffering lovelorn women, and flawless rescue studs. His 1999 novel "A Walk to Remember" was inspired by the tragic death of his younger sister, killed by cancer at age 33. Sparks' novels, mostly set in North Carolina, are known for their placid, pastoral tones, sweeping melodrama, and weepy endings.
Hollywood got their hooks into Sparks in 1999 when they adapted his book "Message in a Bottle" into a notable hit starring Kevin Costner. That film made $118 million on a $30 million budget, and major film studios seem to have found a winning formula. Since then, 11 additional Sparks novels have been adapted into films,...

M. Night Shyamalan is preparing his latest film and inviting high-profile talent to help him do it. Jake Gyllenhaal is being considered to lead the latest mystery movie, but the true twist for fans will be who is actually helping to develop the film.
Per Deadline, Gyllenhaal will star in Shyamalan's next film, which is being described as a supernatural romantic thriller. The big twist here is that the film is based on an original story that Shyamalan co-created with author Nicholas Sparks. Yes, the same Nicholas Sparks behind the novels A Walk to Remember and The Notebook, both of which were turned into hit films. On paper, this sounds like a strange union, but it's a bit more intriguing once you dig deeper.

Julia Stiles dips her toes into the directing world with her adaptation of Renee Carlino's Wish You Were Here. The romantic drama, starring The Orphan's Isabelle Fuhrman and the live-action Aladdin's Mena Massoud, follows the path of The Fault in Our Stars and Me Before You. The film centers a woman who falls into a whirlwind romance with a man who is terminally ill. A month shy of Valentine's Day, the film is out in time for those seeking that tearful experience only a romance about a dying person can provide. The subgenre is a hit for a reason.
Stiles opted for this story to be her directorial debut because the novel was emotionally resonant, and on the surface, I can see why. Romance is one of the most prolific genres, in literature, adaptations, music, and original stories. However, there's something undeniably timeless about Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams' 21-year-old drama, The Notebook.

The best Mandy Moore movies and TV shows perfectly demonstrate how the singer-songwriter made the transition from parts in lighthearted teen rom-coms to leading grounded and emotional dramas. Born in New Hampshire in 1984, Mandy Moore first rose to fame as a pop singer with singles like 1999’s “Candy” from her debut album So Real. However, within a few years, she’d make the transition to acting, starting with a minor voice role in 2001’s Dr. Dolittle 2.
While appearing in a film alongside Eddie Murphy so early in her career was an achievement, it was her role as Lana in The Princess Diaries the same year that proved the pop star was also an incredibly talented actor. Before long, Mandy Moore was leading cases in films like 2002’s A Walk to Remember and 2003’s How to Deal. As the decades progressed, she began to take on more mature roles that further highlighted her range,...

The Eaton Fire has left devastation in its wake, tearing through homes and lives, including those of celebrities. Amid the turmoil, Moore also shared a GoFundMe link for her in-laws, Griff and Kit Goldsmith, who lost everything in the fire. However, her well-meaning gesture didn’t come without backlash, as critics questioned her decision to seek public support. But Moore had a response for the doubters. After movies like Violent Night, Fat Man and the recent Red One, you’d think Santa movies with an action twist had reached their limit. However, the action icon, Arnold Schwarzenegger, now suits up to play Kris Kringle for the comedy The Man With the Bag, which also stars Alan Ritchson. The concept is similar to Red One, except this time, Santa loses his bag of presents and enlists a former thief to get it back. Adam Shankman directs The Man With The Bag from a script by Allan Rice. Roland Emmerich isn't a man youd typically associate with heartfelt, grounded storytelling, as his career is best known for bombastic blockbusters like Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow. However, Emmerich stepped into new territory with Midway, an ambitious World War II drama that aimed to pay tribute to the troops while recreating one of historys most pivotal, and perhaps lesser-known, battles. The movie features an impressive ensemble cast including the likes of Dennis Quaid (Reagan), Woody Harrelson (Natural Born Killers), Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring), Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember), Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) and Ed Skrein (Deadpool).

Now, Deadline reports that Alliance Media Partners is representing the world sales rights for a time travel supernatural thriller called You Don’t Belong Here at the American Film Market, which is currently going on in Las Vegas. Totally Killer starred Kiernan Shipka from the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Time Cut starred Madison Bailey from the Netflix series Outer Banks and Antonia Gentry from the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia, so it seems fitting that the lead role in You Don’t Belong Here went to another Netflix star – Nikki Roumel, who co-stars with Gentry on Ginny & Georgia.

The 2004 romantic drama The Notebook tells the decades-long love story of Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, which was inspired by a true story. The Notebook depicts the meeting of young Allie (Rachel McAdams) and Noah (Ryan Gosling), their relationship, and how they find each other again in old age when Noah (James Garner) visits Allie (Gena Rowlands) in a home where she is living with dementia. A hit at the box office and known for its emotional ending, The Notebook solidified its young cast members as romantic leads, and it was Nicholas Sparks's second movie and first published novel.
McAdams and Gosling starred in The Notebook early in their careers, with the former playing Regina George in Mean Girls the same year and the latter breaking out as a result of this adaptation. Previously, Gosling did Are You Afraid of the Dark? and other TV series such as Goosebumps and Breaker High.

The Boy and the Heron (Hayao Miyazaki)
Cinema at its most boundlessly imaginative, The Boy and the Heron is a journey of thrilling, pure dream logic chock full of images that feel conjured from the deepest corners of Miyazaki’s mind. Considering the painstaking, hand-drawn labor it takes to pull off an animation this encumbered by standard narrative conventions, the feat of Miyazaki being able to corral such a vision feels miraculous. In 2002, author Rosalind Wiseman published a self-help book entitled “Queen Bees and Wannabes,” aimed at helping parents of high school-aged girls deal with the vicious effects of bullying on their daughters. Wiseman could not have possibly predicted what came next: that Tina Fey would a) read the book, b) see some of her own high school experience reflected back to her, and c) call up Lorne Michaels and suggest the non-fiction book would make a banger of a high school comedy. Some people have all the luck, don’t they?
What Fey saw in Wiseman’s relatively dry book was timeless — there have always been instances of “girl on girl crime,” and they sure as hell weren’t stopping — but when the comedic icon turned Wiseman’s work into the enduring early aughts offering “Mean Girls,...

I mean, I've been a creative person all my life, and my parents are creative. My dad's a jazz musician. My late mother was a dancer, and many of my relatives are artists," explained Di Novi in an interview with MovieWeb ahead of her exhibitions (information here).
