I literally watch this on YouTube kids and I like it. The characters are neat despite woody and Wally's annoying voices. But at least Wally's wasn't as bad as the goes to camp film which I gave a 4/10. My fav episodes were the pirate and the vending machine. In my opinion, title cards are pretty underrated, they give the mood of what you're going to watch. They have some great title cards even though they don't give the mood but they are still an A-. This show deserves more attention as if you're a big woody woodpecker fan, you would love it at best and find it mediocre at worst. And in that vending machine episode, there is ugly woody which looks pretty meemy to me.
I love this show. It is beautifully coloured. And most importantly, it shows the best appearance and voice of the best Winnie Woodpecker. She's my favourite, as well as Woody. Too bad in this one they are just best friends instead of boyfriend and girlfriend. But I like to think that they are. This version of Winnie should be shown more.
I'm not sure why they're are so many troll reviews of this on this site(look at the accounts) like 3 of them were made to downvote this show.
This hidden gem cameout during the end of the fox kid's life span so it's no wonder it's not as fondly as remembered but the quality of the show speaks for itself, First of this show LOOKS AMAZING has great animation some of the best you'll see for a tv production with some episodes almost being movie quality in fluidity. 2nd show is freaking hilarious man I wanna give a specific shoutout to the guy who voices wally walrus because is screams of agony rival tom from tom and jerry that sh! T had me dying of laughter. But yeah the 90's was chalked full of classic cartoons from the 40-50s getting new and innovation reinventions from the 90s casper cartoon to, batman tas, "Th New Woody Woodpecker Show" fits right in. Every character in this show is downright hilarious from woody's bum, freeloader attitude on life, to miss meanie's constant agonizing temper tantrums to Winnie's more sincere and cute demeanor, there's an episode where buzz buzzard scams her out of a car and she goes to court for it and it's hilarious. Buzzard was also voiced by Mark Hamil who just sound like a version of his joker voice. There was also woody's niece and nephew who appaeared in the comics, they remind of the the angry beavers(1997) little sisters who acted much the same way with there fascination on comics and adventure. Also this show is nothing like animanics or tiny toons not sure where that comparison came from not even the same style of writing, especially animanics which leaned more into satire and pop culture references galore, this show was not like that, just because a cartoon is wacky in the 90's doesn't mean its copying animanics or ren and stimpy wtf, woody is a golden age cartoon character that predates all of those those, if anything they're ripping of him. The New Woody the Woodpecker sticks closer the original shorts tone and humor wise which is what made it so great in the first place.
Keep in mind I just recently rewatched this show and hadn't seen it since it last aired on fox kids/abc family when I was a kid. It's been so long I know and this show like many 90s cartoons proved the creative strength of the medium before the tv animation industry hit the fan, you won't get cartoons like this anymore unfortunately a relic of a 2nd golden age that won't be forgotten.

Not much to say except that this show lacks something that the others have. The cartoon is just like any other cartoon of its time (early 2000s), although the jokes are corny and sometimes come off as just cringy, the writing has a lot left to be desired (there's some things resembling how the old cartoons were like, such as the slapstick humour or the action scenes; but it doesn't stick to the original source), and the characters feel flat. The animation for the 1st season tries to mimic the animation of cartoon in the 90s (such as Ren and Stimpy) and comes off as just unusual and awkward (I mean, it's trying to mimic the surrealism of 90s cartoons, but fails in doing that). The other seasons animations return to a more formalized style of animation, but it doesn't really do anything to improve the show. The show lacks any sort of identity. The source material is barely touched upon other than a few samples here and there. Compared to other cartoons of its time, this one is really lacking and underwhelming (Spongebob obviously destroys this cartoon. I know that Spongebob is overlooked and sometimes overwatched, but I'm only talking about the first three seasons. Even then, season 4 and beyond the episodes are still entertaining and watchable). If you have kids that are like 6 or below, then this is perfect for them. The rest of the age group, please watch something else.
This show is pretty good! The animation is fluid and can be fast paced sometimes, the voice acting and line delivery are all great. There are problems like how the characters and plot can feel a bit "Been There Done That" with other shows, but it's overall a good show.
