No pun intended - as I am sort of referring to a western movie you may have heard of or not. But back to Lucky Luke - the one who is faster than his (own) shadow ... and the one with the horse and the (lazy) dog ... both of whom are kind of able to speak - even though no one seems to understand each other (on purpose or for comedic purposes of course).
I read a lot of comics when I was younger - and Lucky Luke was one of my favorite ... not sure I can call him hero, but something like that. Back then I did not really understand the cigarette thing - but they got rid of it. The animated show kind of tries to balance the old charm of the comics ... with some modern values.
Now don't get it twisted: if you want to be offended ... there are a lot of things that will achieve that ... portrayal of not just native americans, but also ... let's call the Daltons South Americans I suppose and their criminal leanings ... well some might say are a bit offensive and cliche. But do we have to go as far? Maybe we do - I am not here to judge one way or another, just merely giving you the information you need to judge for yourself ... is this a show you want to watch? You decide - and if this was good enough, you may try the I suppose even more offensive older stuff ...
