Band of Brothers accurately depicts the stories of real American paratroopers, but it leaves out many real events from Easy Company's time in WWII. Many recruits in Easy Company didn't make it through the punishing training at Camp Toccoa, and only those who endured were part of the 140 paratroopers who shipped out on D-Day. The fate of Sergeant Charles "Chuck" Grant, who was shot in the head, is never confirmed in Band of Brothers, but he did survive thanks to quick thinking and the expertise of German doctors.

Hayden Meyer, head of the alternative and international television department at APA, has been upped to partner at the agency.
The move makes Meyer the agency's 10th partner. He was promoted after a partners meeting last week.
"Since Hayden has joined APA, his growth and the growth of his department have been truly extraordinary," APA president and CEO Jim Gosnell said.
Meyer joined Apa in October 2006 and became head of the alternative and international TV department the following year. The agency said he has overseen an expansion of Apa's alternative TV business that included hiring reality agents Marc Kamler, Rob Kaplan, Ra Kumar and Josh Levenbrown and promoting Alan Moore and John Seitzer from within Apa's training program.
The department's clients include Bcii ("Living With Ed" at Planet Green, "Overhaulin'" at Tlc), Collins Avenue ("FlyGirls" at the CW), Dalaklis Media ("Dude, What Would Happen..." at Cartoon Network), Herzog & Co.

History bonds with HBO 'Brothers'
HBO has licensed rights its $120 million miniseries Band of Brothers to the History Channel. History will air the 10-part World War II drama in the second quarter of 2004 as part of a larger programming blitz centered on the 60th anniversary of D-Day. The cable channel also acquired another war-related HBO documentary, We Stand Alone Together. "We think this is a real win-win for the History Channel," said Dan Davids, executive VP and general manager of the network. "We can open this to a wider audience." The Emmy-winning drama represents the premium cable channel's increasing efforst to boost alternate revenue streams. HBO sold the hit series Sex and the City into syndication last month.
