Long before Edward Norton had his brief but memorable stint with the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Hulk, he found inspiration in another iconic character from the comics, and it’s none other than Doctor Strange.

Destin Daniel Cretton appeared at CinemaCon this evening for the first time to share the official title of Sony’s next live-action Spider-Man movie, which will star Tom Holland as the friendly neighborhood wallcrawler. The next film in Holland’s Spider-Verse is Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
During the panel, Cretton said his one-year-old’s first words were ‘Spider-Man.’ He also shared how he lost some money playing roulette.
“Everyday right now, I’m exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of incredible artists of the world. How to swing, how to create an emotional story and a ride we haven’t seen before,” said Cretton.
“They tell me it’s tradition to tell you something about the film, that no one knows. We do have a trailer even though we didn’t share anything,” Cretton teased. He gestured to Tom Holland on a big screen.

Kathryn Hahn is still riding the wave of success following the highly successful release of her standalone MCU show, Agatha All Along. The series continues Agatha’s journey after the events of WandaVision and her imprisonment at the hands of the Scarlet Witch.
While we would love to say that Agatha has found redemption along the way, the show’s ending makes it clear that not even death can quench her thirst for more power. In the final moments, Agatha takes Billy Maximoff under her wing, leaving fans wondering what comes next for the character.
We know that Agatha lost her powers after the events of WandaVision, but by the end of her own show, she successfully regains them. However, there’s a catch—Agatha is currently dead and exists in ghost form. This raises the question: is she now more powerful than before, or has her strength diminished?

Marvel Rivals has been catching flak since launch for its allegedly thirst-driven cosmetic designs. The “gooner bait” accusations flew fast and furious every time a bundle like Psylocke’s “Vengeance” and Sue Storm’s Malice skin hit the store.
But NetEase just flipped the script in the most unexpected way possible.

As it turns out, the mysterious “April Fool’s Easter Egg gift” teased in the latest patch notes isn’t just real—it’s spectacular. And it might just silence the critics who claimed the developers only cater to one particular demographic.
When symbiotes throw it back, critics eat their words
Remember all those heated Reddit threads about Invisible Woman’s Malice skin being “too revealing” or Psylocke’s outfits being designed purely for “gooner material”? Those arguments are about to look awfully one-sided when Venom starts twerking across every match in Marvel Rivals.

Yesterday, Marvel Studios spent five and a half hours slowly revealing the names of twenty-seven cast members who will be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, which is now in production and aiming for a May 1, 2026 theatrical release. Many of the cast members were fully expected to be in there, but there were quite a few surprises, as it turns out that several characters from the Fox X-Men films are going to be in this movie. Once the announcement came to an end, Marvel teased, “There’s always room for more…” And a lot of fans were left wanting more, because there were some big names missing from the list. Some of those missing names might be confirmed to be a part of the film at a later date – but industry scooper Jeff Sneider of The InSneider cautions that we shouldn’t get our hopes up for a couple of the missing characters,...

Those of you reading this will know that I’ve been doing this job for a long time now. My hope is that most of you appreciate the fact that I always do my best to bring you and this website the biggest news and updates as quickly and concisely as possible.
However, for any of you who perhaps don’t appreciate my takes on certain subjects, you can take great pleasure in the fact that, today, like millions of others, I spent five and a half hours watching Marvel Studios slowly reveal names on the back of 27 chairs. It was a long, arduous process which saw a new Avengers: Doomsday star revealed roughly every 13 minutes or so.
On the plus side, I’m grateful to you all for making that likely one of the biggest stories we’ll publish this month (perhaps even this year).
Was it worth tuning in?...

Marvel Rivals has been one of the biggest live-service games of the year across PlayStation Xbox, and PC. But in a not-so-surprising development, the game also runs on the 14-year-old Nintendo 3Ds. With the help of some tech, one player managed to stream the game onto their 3Ds.
Is Marvel Rivals going to be the next Doom or something? | Image Credit: NetEase Games
The game is obviously far from smooth on the old hardware, but Nintendo has other consoles too! NetEase Games has previously stated that a Nintendo Switch release is not happening. But what about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2? It is reportedly going to have some good specs so maybe the Nintendo fans will be able to join in on the fun.

Just when you thought Marvel Rivals had ironed out its most frustrating bugs, a new exploit has emerged that’s making players question their life choices. NetEase Games’ hero shooter might be riding high with over 40 million players, but that success has attracted a particular breed of player that every online game dreads—the dedicated griefer.

The latest nightmare? A game-breaking exploit involving Doctor Strange and Jeff the Land Shark that’s sending unsuspecting players to a shadow dimension with no escape. And unlike Doctor Strange’s usual mystical banishments, this one doesn’t come with a return ticket.
What’s particularly infuriating isn’t just the bug itself—it’s the dedicated accounts being created specifically to ruin other players’ experiences. When someone names themselves “PortalToPrison” or “JeffToJail,” they’re not exactly hiding their villainous intentions.

Zach Cregger is planning to start shooting his Resident Evil reboot this summer in Europe, and he’s considering Austin Abrams of Euphoria as a potential star. The actor is said to be in early talks to lead the reboot, and this would be something of a reunion as Abrams is part of the cast of Weapons, Cregger’s highly anticipated follow-up to Barbarian.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to have “elements of a wilderness survival thriller.” Cregger co-wrote the script with Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 4). In a statement, Cregger said, “I’ve been a rabid fan of these games for decades and to be able to bring this amazing title to life is a true honor.” The Resident Evil reboot has already been slated for a September 18, 2026 release.

We haven't seen Clea (Charlize Theron) since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but - perhaps not too surprisingly - the powerful sorceress is expected to return for Avengers: Doomsday.
Theron made her MCU debut as the character in the Sam Raimi-directed sequel's post-credits scene. She only makes a brief appearance and isn't actually named, but after convincing the Master of the Mystic Arts (Benedict Cumberbatch) to accompany her to the Dark Dimension in order to fix an Incursion he caused, it always seemed pretty clear that Marvel Studios had big plans in place for the niece of the Dread Dormammu.
Now, The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez is claiming that Clea will be a part of the already jam-packed MCU event movie. He also notes that America Chavez, She-Hulk, and - just in case the last dozen or so "confirmations" weren't enough - the Scarlet Witch will have...

The upcoming appearance of Galactusin the Marvel Cinematic Universepromises to introduce fans of the Marvel films to the most powerful villain they have encountered yet – but at the same time, the comics might be paving the way for an even more dangerous antagonist to debut in the MCU, one who has already proven capable of defeating the Devourer of Worlds.
Tva #4 – written by Katharyn Blair, with art by Pere Pérez – continues to tease the miniseries' direct links to the MCU, making the introduction of Nightmare, as hinted at in the preview pages for the issue, a big deal moving forward.
Nightmare is one of the most powerful forces in Marvel Comics, and has a long history in the publisher's canon, but isn't exactly on more general fans' radar, even compared to Galactus; this could change if the character were incorporated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe,...

There have been various (some pretty wild) rumors relating to Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' plans for a fourth Spider-Man movie doing the rounds over the past few months, but most insiders seem to agree that that main reason the project took so long to come together was due to creative differences over the best way to proceed with the story.
The script is believed to have undergone a major overhaul, with Kevin Feige and Sony's Tom Rothman finally settling on a mostly grounded story with some Multiversal elements (though the movie was still being described as an "Avengers-level event" up until very recently).
In a way, Spider-Man: No Way Home's third-act Doctor Strange twist backed the writers into a bit of a creative corner, but it also presented an opportunity to start fresh and take the franchise in a brand-new direction.
It sounds like this is exactly...

In Marvel Rivals, few things bring more joy than watching two heroes work together in perfect harmony. While NetEase’s hero shooter offers plenty of powerful character combinations, one particular duo has been turning heads lately with their creative approach to battlefield control.

Doctor Strange and The Punisher might seem like an odd couple at first glance—one’s a mystical master of the arcane arts, the other’s a gun-toting vigilante with a penchant for excessive firepower. But as one clever player recently demonstrated, sometimes the best partnerships are the ones you least expect.

James Cameron has helmed a series of successful and critically acclaimed projects, but there's nothing like his current franchise. Avatar debuted in 2009 and became the highest-grossing film of all time, with its 2022 sequel breaking more records.
The filmmaker's franchise consists of five films, with the third installment, Avatar: Fire and Ash, set to premiere later this year. With a cast filled of critically acclaimed actors, as well as some of the most groundbreaking visual effects, the franchise is a guaranteed success. Another surprising fan of the franchise is Anya Taylor-Joy, who has just shared with Entertainment Tonight that she would love to star in the next Avatar.

This certainly makes sense. There’s a new report that says Meghan Markle had a very hard time connecting with the royal family and that wasn’t just because she couldn’t connect with them.
It’s also because she thought they were a ‘strange’ family as well. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Thought The Royal Family Was ‘Strange’
While there’s no doubt that Meghan was raised differently than her husband Prince Harry was, she wasn’t prepared to see just how different the royals were compared to anyone else she’s ever known in her life.
As much as Meghan loved Prince Harry, there was just no way that she was going to extend any love to his family members. She just didn’t get their dynamic and oftentimes thought that they behaved rather cold behind closed palace doors as well.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has made progress in great leaps and bounds in the last couple of movies alone. The string of events that connects the MCU in its overarching narrative has now found a common Avenger as the root cause of it all. And it all began with the multiversal shenanigans of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

After the reality-warping, world-bending, and shockingly cool story of No Way Home, Earth-616 has not been the same. As tragic as Peter Parker’s arc may have been in the final moments of the film, that tragedy was reduced in impact by Doctor Strange and Clea’s chat about incursions.
Now, it remains to be seen how Doctor Strange can tie up all the loose storylines of the MCU’s Multiversal Saga in its anticipated semi-finale, Avengers: Doomsday.

Thunderbolts* will feature the MCU debut of The Sentry, with Lewis Pullman stepping in to play "Bob" after Steven Yeun was forced to drop out due to scheduling issues.
The latest trailer made it clear that he'll be the movie's big bad, though the character has a very complicated and convoluted history on the page. Essentially retconned into the Marvel Universe's Silver Age, he's since become one of this world's greatest heroes and villains...and even died a few times for good measure.

The Black Phone was one of the best movies of 2022 and one of the best horror films of the decade so far, but it was almost completely self-contained. Things seemed wrapped up in a truly satisfactory way by the end of the movie, and the villain (played to perfection by Ethan Hawke) seemed completely dead. The film's acclaimed director, Scott Derrickson, put his heart and soul into The Black Phone, which was a very personal and cathartic experience for him. He didn't have a sequel in mind whatsoever. And yet, The Black Phone 2 finished filming at the end of January. What happened?
Well, part of it has to do with Derrickson's new film, The Gorge, which debuts Feb. 14 on Apple TV+. The Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy movie is a genre-blending concoction that works as both a wild horror movie and a sweet romance that represents dating in modern times.

It's proving to be a bit of a slow news weekend ahead of what we're hoping will be an impactful Super Bowl tomorrow, but thanks to The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez, we have some big MCU rumours to delve into today.
There's still a lot of uncertainty surrounding Spider-Man 4 and Perez now claims to be in the dark with regards to what Marvel Studios has planned for the movie. He previously seemed pretty confident about Venom and Knull making an appearance but only shares that he's not expecting The Punisher to show up, despite reports to the contrary.
However, with Spider-Man 4 set for release between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, he doesn't believe it will be an Ant-Man and The Wasp-type situation with movie's the story playing out before the events of the former. Remember, Tom Holland is set to be one of Doomsday's leads.

If you’ve ever wondered why Doctor Strange suddenly has a luminous third eye on his forehead, you’re not alone. This eye isn’t just there for show—it’s got a rich backstory and mystic might.
The third eye is probably the Eye of Agamotto, the same one from the first movie. Even though it looked like it was destroyed in Infinity War and Endgame, some people noticed Strange still wears the necklace it was on.
He might not have the Infinity Stone anymore, but he clearly managed to remake the necklace. Some die-hard fans believe that the third eye Strange gets at the end of Multiverse of Madness is actually a real version of the Eye of Agamotto.

Did You Know Jim Carrey Almost Played Buddy In Will Ferrell’s Elf? (Photo Credit – Prime Video)
Elf without Will Ferrell feels impossible, right? His silly charm, wide-eyed wonder, and laugh-out-loud lines made it a holiday favorite. But guess what? He wasn’t even the first pick for Buddy! In the early ‘90s, when Elf was just a Hollywood daydream, another comedy icon was set to play Buddy.
That actor had a chaotic energy, a super-expressive face, and a history of playing quirky characters. It seemed like a perfect fit (until it wasn’t). By the time Elf got made, the first-choice actor was long gone, leaving the role wide open. That twist of fate brought in Ferrell, and the rest is history. But who nearly became Buddy Hobbs? And would Elf still be the same holiday gem if that had happened? Let’s rewind to where it all began.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has had been many iconic moments over the years. Steve Rogers getting assistance in Avengers: Endgame from heroes via portals is one. Another scene is Steve, as an old man, handing off the shield to Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson.
However, the earlier films by Marvel Studios cannot be ignored. Scenes such as Tony Stark admitting he was Iron Man in 2008 stand out. 2012's The Avengers crafted a now iconic sequence that still resonates with audience members: the Hulk smashing Loki, but it's worth mentioning that this scene got a better upgrade in What If...? Season 3.

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manis a refreshing update to a familiar character in multiple ways. Not only does the series feature a unique animation style modeled directly off the Spider-Man comics, but the latest Marvel series to hit Disney+ thankfully shrugs off the burden of MCU canon in order to deliver yet another new spin on the superhero's well-traveled origins. The show's deviations from the McU's pre-established narrative are the highlight of the series' two-episode premiere, treating fans to a classic depiction of Doctor Strange (Robin Atkin Downes) and a fresh cast of new faces. At the same time, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man also distinguishes itself by adapting familiar events in a new timeline, with the premiere's most recognizable moment lifted directly from one of the most exciting scenes in Captain America: Civil War.

This week, Netflix unveiled a flurry of news about all their upcoming series for 2025. We got new footage from Wednesday season 2, a release date for Squid Game season 3, confirmation that One Piece season 2 isn't coming out until 2026, and loads more. Nestled in among all those big reveals was a piece of adult animation news I'm particularly excited about: opening credits and a release date for Devil May Cry, the upcoming adaptation of the popular video game series from original Castlevania showrunner Adi Shankar and Studio Mir.
The Devil May Cry games are about a half-human, half-demon devil hunter named Dante, who has a bad attitude and slices up the creatures of hell like no other. The first game debuted on the PlayStation 2 all the way back in 2001, but Dante's hold on popular culture has remained strong. There are five games to date, and most of them are very well-loved by fans.

Benedict Cumberbatch has been keeping Marvel fans on their toes when it comes to his role in Avengers: Doomsday. At first, the actor claimed Doctor Strange wouldn’t be part of the movie, suggesting the character didn’t fit into the story. Now, he’s saying the opposite.
Now, Cumberbatch admitted he had been wrong about his previous statement, confirming, “I got that wrong, I am in the next one.” When pressed further, he remained playful and vague, adding, “Don’t ever believe anything I say.” His comments have left people wondering whether this is just classic Marvel secrecy at play or if his role in the film is still unclear.

Benedict Cumberbatch recently dropped a surprising update on his MCU return as Doctor Strange, confirming (or appearing to confirm) that he wouldn't be a part of Avengers: Doomsday, but would be back as the (former) Sorcerer Supreme for Secret Wars.
The Sherlock actor indicated that Strange's involvement in the next big MCU event was deemed unnecessary when plans pivoted from Kang to Doctor Doom after Jonathan Majors' firing.
"Is that a spoiler? F*** it!" Cumberbatch told Variety after mentioning that he would not be a part of Doomsday. "The character [was] not aligning with this part of the story."
Cumberbatch has walked back his comments, however, and is now claiming that the good doctor will factor into the movie after all.
Business Insider spoke to the actor on the red carpet for the premiere of his new film The Thing With Feathers at the Sundance Film Festival, and asked if he'd...

During the early 2000s, American television was laden with captivating crime drama series. Iconic shows like The Wire, Law and Order, and Criminal Minds dominated the airwaves and brought acclaim to the genre. Award-winning series Dexter, Numb3rs and Breaking Bad enjoyed fruitful television runs as well, but there is a 20-year-old crime drama series that arguably outshines its peers — Prison Break. Created by Paul Scheuring, Prison Break is a 2005 crime drama series that aired on Fox for four seasons and was revived in 2017 for a fifth and final season. The series follows a man, Michael Scofield, on his mission to break his brother out of prison. Michael is convinced that his brother, Lincoln Burrows, is innocent of the crime for which he was committed, which was the murder of the vice president’s brother. Eager to free and exonerate his brother, Scofield sacrifices his lucrative architecture career and purposely breaks...

One of the best aspects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse Saga is the fact that we get to enjoy adventures set within that world on the small screen now too. It's true, the addition of the Disney Plus shows have added a whole new layer to the MCU, allowing the Marvel Studios franchise to explore new stories across an extended period of time without being constricted by the typical two or three hour runtime.
It also allows the franchise to spotlight some beloved characters from the movies who didn't get enough focus. We saw that in early shows such as WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki, all of which spotlighted some of the McU's most popular-and-yet-underappreciated characters in leading roles. Even the more recent Agatha All Along placed the spotlight on WandaVision's best supporting character, showcasing the beauty of placing the spotlight on supporting characters every once in a while.

Zach Cregger is set to write and direct a new Resident Evil movie, and THR reports that this has sparked a major bidding war among studios eager to acquire the Barbarian director’s next project.
Four studios are reportedly attempting to snag the project, with sources saying Warner Bros. and Netflix are among them. Cregger’s take is being described as “a revamp that will take the title to its horror roots and be more faithful to the initial games.” Jeff Sneider was the first to bring up the possibility of Cregger tackling a new Resident Evil movie back in September.
The Resident Evil franchise first made the leap to the big screen in 2002, with Milla Jovovich starring as Alice. The film was a success and spawned five sequels, which collectively grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide. An attempt was made to reboot the franchise in 2021 with Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City,...
