The tale behind Terrifier 3 is told in Art Attack! The Dissection Of Terrifier 3, even as Terrifier 4 is being planned and plotted.
The kind of indie horror movie breakout success story that filmmaker dreams are made of, this October’s Terrifier 3 cost less than $10m to make and promote, and has already earned $87m at the global box office. When you consider that the real money will be made on home formats, that’s some result, and a sizeable profit. No wonder Terrifier 4 is being lined up for as soon as 2026.
Ahead of that, though, there’s another feature of sorts for Terrifier fans to feast on. Art Attack! The Dissection Of Terrifier 3 is a bit of an access all areas behind the scenes documentary on the making of Terrifier 3.
It’s got the involvement of director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone, and comes with...

It was oddly devastating to learn that ITV’s kid’s channel Citv is to close on 1st September 2023. Many millennials and Gen Xers probably haven’t even seen a Citv show for two decades or more – besides, back in the day it wasn’t even a channel, but just a few after-school hours of programming on the regular ITV channel. So why does its closure leave us feeling like it’s the end of an era?
Because the memories of that era were so, so good, that’s why. We all remember getting home from school, grabbing a glass of squash and a Wagon Wheel and immediately flicking the TV on, and Citv (along with Cbbc – and Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel if you were well posh) kept us company until it was time to eat our spaghetti hoops and turkey twizzlers.

Netflix's Stranger Things may be a nostalgia-fest, but that's not new. TV has always let us escape into comforting stories about the past…
Remember the good old days? They were good weren’t they? Not like now. It’s horrible now. That’s why everything on TV is comforting, coddling, backwards-looking fluff. We all just want to dive onto a feathery pile of period television and forget about the cruel, unsettling world of today. A world where, get this, the Soviets have gone into space. And there’s that war in Korea. Everyone’s testing hydrogen bombs all over the place, Castro’s taken over Cuba and innocent people keep getting lynched. I ask you. It’s little wonder all we want to watch on TV are cosy Westerns. Switch on Gunsmoke and all that worry melts away.

Here's one of those 'This'll make you feel old' nuggets - Citv's kids' classic Art Attack is 25 years old today, having aired its first episode on June 15, 1990.
Originating as a segment on '80s show No. 73, Art Attack was later spun off into its own series and became one of Citv's longest-running programmes, continuing in its original form until 2007.
There have been several attempts to revive the BAFTA-winning show - and to replicate its success abroad - but none of these imitations came close to the original and best, fronted by the brilliant Neil Buchanan.
Prepare for a nostalgia rush as we present 9 reasons why we still love Art Attack - and its original host Buchanan - a quarter of a century on.

Rainn Wilson’s coming back to TV, except this time it’s through his YouTube channel SoulPancake. Participant Media’s Pivot television channel, which launched on August 1, 2013, will air segments of Wilson’s SoulPancake starting August 25, 2014. Separated into six 15-minute clips, “Mixtape by SoulPancake” will package together several of Wilson’s sketches, including “Metaphysical Milkshake,” “Science of Happiness,” “Art Attack,” and “Stories From the Street.” With over 1.3 million subscribers, Wilson’s SoulPancake channel is one of the most popular on YouTube, probably because it’s odder than most. Combining Wilson’s sense of humor with normally taboo topics (like religion and poverty), the channel’s not afraid to ask some of life’s harder questions. In the series “Metaphysical Milkshake,” for example, Wilson essentially “kidnaps” interviewees (like colleague Mindy Kaling from The Officeor Tesla founder Elon Musk) into the back of his 1970s van to discuss philosophical topics with them...

Disney’s marketing strategy for Star Wars Rebels has included releasing self-contained 3-minute shorts, each of which depict an incident between the Imperial Forces and one (or more) of the show’s characters. The first of these shorts, “The Machine in the Ghost”, pays homage to Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope‘s iconic dogfight between the Millennium Falcon and Tie Fighters, while the second short (“Art Attack”) and the newest one, “Entanglement” (watch it above), focus solely on introducing the personalities of individual Rebels on the series.

The second of four Star Wars Rebels shorts has been released by Lucasfilm and Disney. The short is called "Art Attack," and (like the first one) it turned out great. These shorts are leading up to the premiere of the animated series.
In “Art Attack,” a special Star Wars Rebels short, Sabine sneaks into an Imperial compound, looking to create a diversion for her friends aboard the Ghost. Spotted by stormtroopers, she proves too quick to be captured – and leaves behind an explosive surprise.
Enjoy the short!

Star Wars Rebels is an upcoming CGI animated series produced by Lucasfilm and Lucasfilm Animation. It is set 16 years after Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and 5 years before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, in a time which the Galactic Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledglingrebellion against the Empire is taking form.
Last Week, Disney Xd released the first Star Wars Rebel short film “Ghost in the Machine” which focused on the animated series’ new astromech droid Chopper. This week Disney released another Star Wars Rebels short film titled “Art Attack” which follows Sabine Wren. The series is scheduled to premier in October 2014 as a one-hour special on Disney Channel, and will then air as a series on Disney Xd channels worldwide. Watch both shorts below:

In Art Attack, a special Star Wars Rebels short, Sabine sneaks into an Imperial compound, looking to create a diversion for her friends aboard the Ghost. Spotted by Stormtroopers, she proves too quick to be captured, and leaves behind an explosive surprise.

This is the second in a series of shorts for Star Wars Rebels which follow all-new episodes of Gravity Falls on Disney Xd. Two more Star Wars Rebels shorts will debut on August 25 and September 1 between 9:29 Pm and 9:32 Pm. But first, meet Sabine Wren as she puts her artistic skills to good use.

Disney Xd has released a Star Wars Rebels short online. The animated series will take place about 14 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith and centers on the fledgling rebellion as the Empire hunts down the last of the Jedi Knights to secure rule of the galaxy. While we've had featurettes introducing the villains and even the first seven minutes of the series, this short is interesting because it directly introduces a character even though I'm not sure this will be part of an episode. If it stands alone, it's a neat way of introducing Sabine (voiced by Tiya Sircar) without any talking heads explaining who she is. Hit the jump to check out the Star Wars Rebels short, "Art Attack". Star Wars Rebels premieres on Disney Xd this October, and also features the voices of Freddie Prinze Jr., David Oyelowo, Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray, and Steven Jay Blum.

On May 11, the Godzilla: All Art Attack show opened at the Creature Features gallery in Burbank, California. And amid the pieces, which included an ad for a fake Godzilla-themed breakfast cereal and another depicting Godzilla as the Virgin Mary (er, okay), were three pieces instantly recognizable to any Godzilla archeologist. They are subtle and easy to overlook: three smallish sketches of a sleeker, more naturalistic version of the monster, etched in black and white by Eisner-winning comic-book artist Ricardo Delgado. What makes these sketches so special is that they were produced for a version of Godzilla that never saw the light of day. It did, however, get really, really close to happening.By the early '90s, the Japanese Godzilla films weren't performing like they should have been, and Toho, the studio behind the creature, thought that an American production might inject some fresh blood into the ailing franchise. An...

This weekend, the remake of Godzilla from director Gareth Edwards finally stomps into theaters (read our review right here), and to keep the excitement high, Creatures Features just unveiled a new art exhibit called "Godzilla: All Art Attack!" that you can catch in Burbank, Califorina. Featuring dozens of art pieces commemorating the King of Monsters, there's quite an odd and eclectic array of work here paying tribute to the monster that first appeared on the big screen 60 years ago in Japan. There's illustrations, paintings, sculptures and more, and we've picked some of our favorite pieces for you to check out. Look! Some photos from the art gallery Godzilla: All Art Attack from Creatures Features (more at Styd): To find out more information about the show in Burbank, head to the Creatures Features website. Godzilla, being directed by Gareth Edwards (of Monsters), comes from a screenplay written by Drew Pearce,...

This weekend, Creature Features in Burbank, California held its reception for "Godzilla: All Art Attack!" a tribute to the King of the Monsters and the many creatures and characters that have populated his cinematic universe. The timing is perfect, of course, since a new film is hitting theaters this Friday (read our review here). I attended the opening reception and, I have to say, this is one of my favorite shows so far. I'm also loving the fact that Creature Features is getting in on the "gallery" scene. They're attracting some fun artists for some awesome themed shows. (Coming up this summer... A Planet of the Apes gallery.)

I might have something in my eye. From Jef With One F at Art Attack:
We walked to the bench that bears Kat’s name. Shaded by a tree, it over looks the tombstone proper, inscribed with her name, dates, and lyrics from “You Are My Sunshine.” I remember carrying her coffin to this spot like it was yesterday.
“This is a cemetery,” I told her. “It’s a place where we put the bodies of people who have died. Your Aunt Kat, who has your name, is buried here, and I like to come here to think about her and tell her that I still love her very much. I wanted to bring you here today, so you could see the place.”
My daughter crawled up onto my knee as I knelt. I was crying and my voice was hoarse, and she put her arms around me.
“Maybe she’ll regenerate,...

Enter! Stranger! Knightmare is back. Yes, you heard correctly, the bizarre and slightly sinister children's TV classic is returning for a one-off special episode online. Treguard fans rejoice.
Digital Spy is celebrating the return of Knightmare by picking out seven other vintage kids' gameshows that we'd love to see return.

Pat Sharp's Fun House was the defining kids' gameshow of the '90s, blending gunge, ball pools, two hot twins and a man with an awful mullet and serving up 25 minutes of giddy tomfoolery. And we still really want a go on the Go-Karts.
2. Finders Keepers (1991 - 1996 on Citv)

Siliconera pointed to the super anime/manga crossover, which will bring together heroines from ten series in a strategy RPG for the PS3 and Vita.
According to the post, "Super Heroine Chronicle" will be a traditional grid-based game, and its heroines will be capable of attacking enemies in adjacent squares while also doling out damage to the environment.
A roster of unannounced characters from the following series would be included in the likely cel-shaded game:
Twin Angel
Kyousogiga
Di Gi Charat
Swan Song of the Valkyries: Symphogear
Super Sonico
Higurashi When They Cry
Aria the Scarlet Ammo
Infinite Stratos
The Familiar of Zero
Dream Hunter Rem
With the exception of "When they Cry," I'm not all that familiar with the other series being used for "Super Heroine Chronicle," but I'm sure each has its own disturbingly rabid fanbase. Huh. The "Alice in Wonderland" riff "Kyousogiga" sounds look a hoot, though.

Long time exclusive Sony developer, Insomniac Games has finally gone multiplatform with a new third person, team tactical shooter. Originally under the project titled Overstrike, "Fuse" has been re-branded into a newish shooter that blends realistic firefights with bits of sci-fi tech. Fundamentally, it's a co-op experience, though you can play it by yourself. But it really comes down to is this -- if you're looking for another third person shooter, then this a game you can play.
I don't like being so negative about games like this because "Fuse" isn't a terrible game by any means. It's just terribly bland. The real problem is that this genre has been so saturated with same-y mechanics and attitudes, that when you see something that could genuinely have been unique and cool, it's a disappointment when it doesn't live up to your expectations.

When “Final Fantasy IX” was released in 2000, Square made the baffling decision to host its in-house walkthrough on their PlayOnline service. Not only was it hard to access – these were the Dark Days of dial-up, 56k modems – the “Final Fantasy IX” guide was notoriously spotty.
As a result, a hitherto-undocumented sidequest is making its way through the English-speaking web for the first time today, 13 years after the game’s original PlayStation release.

The Nero Brothers want to find two other characters named Marcus and Cinna, and will leave to find them. It's 4 Am local time of the...

Apparently there are fans who are calling for Neil Gaiman to take over running Doctor Who whenever Steven Moffat steps down, which I was unaware of until Jef With One F at the Houston Press blog Art Attack brought it to my attention. As he says: No doubt, Gaiman has the right heart for the show, and he definitely has the writing chops. Anyone who has ever read his Sandman series also knows that if you want an overarching epic story that can survive over years, he can do that as well. The Hugo award for "The Doctor's Wife" speaks for itself. When Gaiman pens an episode of Doctor Who nothing but magic comes out. I’m not sure that I’d call “Nightmare in Silver” magic, but point taken. Gaiman is a fantastic writer and a lifelong lover of the show. That said...

In response to Alasdair Stuart’s “what if the Doctors had been women” exercise, Jef With One F at Houston Press’s Art Attack has developed his “An Alternative History of 11 American Doctors.” How can this be? Isn’t Doctor Who simply too British to even contemplate such a thing? You decide. Here’s a taste: 3rd Doctor - Robert Stack (1970 - 1974) The star of The Untouchables was approached to take over for Lynde. Stack was looking to get away from crime drama, and admitted to secretly being a big fan of science fiction and bizarre phenomenon when cast. Nonetheless, his Doctor carried over many of the traits of Elliot Ness to the point that some accused him of not trying to differentiate the two very much. The Third Doctor, while stranded on Earth following the death of The Second, was confined to a branch of the United States military as science adviser.

Jack Palance kisses mice. Teri Hatcher plays drums. Just two of the many remarkable things we've discovered in Tango & Cash...
In this occasional series of 'remarkable things' articles, we've mostly focused exclusively on movies that were critical or financial flops. Previous entries have included Jaws: The Revenge, Battlefield Earth and RoboCop 3, which all suffered in both critics' reviews and at the box office.
This time, our choice isn't a notorious flop at all - it's Tango & Cash, a film which actually made a few million dollars more than it cost to make. At this stage in Sylvester Stallone's career, which featured the critical and financial nightmares Rocky V, Oscar and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, Tango & Cash was a comparative blockbuster.
In terms of critical reception, though, Tango & Cash fared less well. It was nominated for three Razzies (though won precisely none) and reviews...

Jef With One F examines the question of the Doctor’s sexuality -- with regards to the modern Doctors only -- at the Houston Press blog Art Attack. A taste: [The Ninth Doctor] was also the most overtly bisexual of the modern three. He was obviously flattered immensely by the immediate attention he received from Captain Jack, and he flirted much more openly with him than he ever did with Rose. He doesn't react with jealousy toward Jack when he works his charms on Rose who reciprocates to the point of dazed infatuation. Instead, he stakes his claim to either of them should he see fit. I would even go so far as to say that Nine was much more comfortable with Jack in a sexual sense than he seemed to be with Rose. Though he thought nothing of casually touching Rose, there was usually more heat when he interacted with Jack. Check out the whole thing here.

The 18.5" replica of Mass Effect's flying, murderous behemoth, Sovereign, is coming from Dark Horse Comics' Deluxe line of fine collectibles as is available for preorder in what they're saying will be an ultra-limited edition.
Dark Horse isn't able to comment yet on the final production number for the release, but they're putting it somewhere in the realm of 1,000 units produced. And it's not going to be cheap, either: it'll run you $349.99 when it's available on June 26, 2013.
Some backstory on the statue:
This craft is the flagship of the rogue Spectre Saren Arterius. Responsible for leading a devastating attack on the Citadel in the original Mass Effect game, Sovereign is an enormous sentient dreadnought larger than two kilometers in length. The Dark Horse re-creation of Sovereign also has a sculpted base depicting a devastated city and planetary surface to convey its huge scale.
Each statue will be individually numbered and include...
