The animated world of Avatar: The Last Airbenderand The Legend of Korra features the awesome power of the Avatar state as the ultimate expression of elemental bending and spiritual power. Avatar Aang and Avatar Korra were often seen going into the Avatar State either by instinct or on purpose, and the power of the Avatar State could usually save the day. Interestingly, however, the Avatar State was often as terrifying as it was heroic.
Each Avatar, from Wan to Korra, bore an immense responsibility to use the Avatar State wisely and not abuse it, and most of all, the Avatar is most vunerable while using the Avatar State's powers. It is often scary when Aang or Korra use the power of the Avatar State, since each of them almost ended the Avatar Cycle by accident while in that mode. In other cases, Aang and Korra were scary because of what...

Nickelodeon's hit cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender had some iconic moments during its three-season run that defined the show. Avatar: The Last Airbender is not just another kids' cartoon of the 2000s; it has expanded into a large franchise that includes a spinoff, The Legend of Korra, multiple novels, and comics that take place after Avatar: The Last Airbender ends. The show that started it all is so widely beloved because of how The Last Airbender transformed poignant themes about friendship, war, and colonialism into a show for children that resonates with them.

Zuko has one of the best redemption arcs on television, while Katara's strength and Aang's perseverance also inspire viewers. The incredible adventure of Avatar: The Last Airbender illustrates Aang's coming-of-age journey to master the power of the four natural elements through bending. The Avatar holds the traditional honor of maintaining the balance between the world's four nations, historically defining the role as that of a warrior and protector of humanity. Aang fulfills the destiny of his role by traveling the world to master the four elements, and he meets numerous other benders that showcase the power of talented bending at its finest.
The best fight sequences in Book One: Water of Avatar: The Last Airbender stand out because of their choreography, battle stakes, sentimental weight, and much more. Although many of the most important fights this early in the series feature Aang, plenty of other characters deliver memorable bending performances in their fights. Pusha T made a surprise appearance at Phoenix’s set at Paris’ We Love Green festival on Saturday, June 3, to debut a new verse to “All Eyes on Me,” a track off last year’s Alpha Zulu.
The special cameo came at the end of a Phoenix medley that interpolated “If I Ever Feel Better” and the part “Funky Squaredance” that’s reminiscent of the crushing chord progression from Pink Floyd’s “Have a Cigar.” From there, the band transitioned into “All Eyes on Me,” and Pusha T took the stage.

General Iroh had a far stronger connection to the spirit world than most of the other characters in Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the series leaves many of the details around this unclear. The physical world and the spirit world often overlap and influence one another in the show, with the Avatar often stepping in to restore the balance between them. Most of the characters have stopped taking the spirits seriously in the century since the Avatar’s disappearance, but Iroh remains extremely devout.
Though he doesn’t have the power to influence the spirits the same way the Avatar does, Iroh is so in tune with them that it sets him apart from his peers. General Zhao’s mistreatment of the moon spirit causes Iroh to show real anger for the first time in the series, leading him to turn on the Fire Nation in order to help Yue save the moon spirit.
