Pair contracted for Fox drama
John August and Jordan Mechner, who are adapting the best-selling video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for producer Jerry Bruckheimer, have set up a drama series project at Fox Broadcasting Co. The untitled 20th Century Fox TV show, which has received a put pilot commitment from the network, is said to be close in tone to David O. Russell's feature Three Kings. It revolves around two independent contractors who take on military assignments. August and Mechner are writing the pilot script. August will executive produce, with Mechner co-executive producing.
