Three songs from the show gained particular popularity as internet memes: "You Are a Pirate"; "Cooking by the Book" (via a remix with Lil Jon's "Step Yo Game Up"); and "We Are Number One". The latter's popularity coincided with Robbie Rotten's actor, Stefan Karl, undergoing treatment for cancer, and so fans managed to raise $100,000 for him.

Goofs
Sportacus' reactions to the sugar meltdown, which he gets causally during the show, e.g. when eating a sugar apple, is different from episode to episode. In some episodes he can't move and the other characters have to help him getting the Sportscandy (aka fruit) into his mouth but in other cases he is able to move his arm to grab it himself.

Alternate versions
Stingy, Ziggy, Pixel, and Trixie's voices were re-dubbed for the show's UK broadcast. Some bits of their dialogue was slightly altered with words or phrases that are more commonly used in the UK. Lorraine Parsloe dubbed for Ziggy, Joanna Ruiz dubbed for Pixel and Trixie and Sarah Burgess, who worked in the original US/Icelandic production, dubbed for Stingy.

well actually....

this show, is actually pretty good from my point of view...i don't know if its just me and my sister that see this, but Robbie rotten is like Jim Carrey playing the Grinch...thats what i 1st thought when i saw him my sister thought the exact same thing...we're actually 17 and 19 years of age and we love watching this show, it is a good teaching for children about how to go out and play!! I think that the main character Sportacus is a good example for children, hes fun and energetic. I mean come on hes a superhero. Also as far as the color of the little girls hair, its actually quite cute. Its very bright and draws people to watch, to be honest thats why i started to watch in the 1st place. I love all the characters on this show...i think its wonderful.
