Pickard exits ITV for indie RDF Media
LONDON -- ITV programming chief Nigel Pickard said Tuesday that he is stepping down as director of programs at ITV to take over the role of director of family and children's programming at leading U.K. indie RDF Media. His exit had been expected (HR 1/10). In his new role, Pickard will be responsible for expanding RDF's output across the range of family entertainment and building on the company's success with shows like Scrapheap Challenge. He also will become managing director of a new RDF subsidiary focused solely on kids programming. Pickard, who headed the BBC's children's channels before taking the ITV role, will join RDF Media in March.
