In some occasions, Alma says goodbye to his daughter Roberta by saying "ciao Marizza". This is joke to the fact that in Rebelde Way (2002) the character of Roberta's name is Marizza.
The script regularly included English phrases, such as "whatever" and "talk to the hand".
When telling the story of the "Amor Eterno" Island, Miguel says the man in the tale is named Manuel, his character's name in Rebelde Way (2002).
When deciding a name for the band ("RBD"), Miguel suggests "Erreway," which is the name of the original Argentine Rebelde Way (2002) band. Roberta suggests "Expelled from Hell".
