Now that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is available to watch on Blu-ray and DVD, along with the extended, R-rated Ultimate Edition, fans have been discovering Easter Eggs that they didn't catch the first time around in theaters. Last month, a fan noticed an Easter Egg that revealed Batman's Bat-computer was connected to the "Oracle Network," which may have been a subtle reference to the Batgirl/Oracle character. Now, a new Easter Egg offers a subtle reference to Superman co-creator Joel Shuster. This Easter Egg was even confirmed by director Zack Snyder.
The Easter Egg was first noticed by a Twitter user calling himself Critical Mas, who noticed that the shape which formed in a pane of broken glass looked quite peculiar, and familiar. Using his seemingly considerable powers of deduction, Critical Mas discovered that this shape closely resembles the outline of the Canadian province of Ontario,...

I've got a fun retro fan-made trailer for Batman v Superman that features footage of Michael Keaton's Batman and Christopher Reeve's Superman. This is the second fan trailer we've seen featuring these two versions of the superhero characters. The first one was called "World's Finest" and it was posted about three years ago (you can check it out here). This newest version was created by stryder HD, and this is what he had to say about it:
I grew up watching and loving these movies, these are The two version of "Batman" and "Superman" that I'll always remember from my childhood and are just straight awesome to me! I hope you guys enjoy the trailer.

Yesterday, Warner Bros.' debuted the new Ultimate Edition trailer for Batman v Superman, which will feature over 30 minutes of footage that wasn't included in the theatrical cut. The trailer gave us a glimpse at some of this new footage, including our first look at Jena Malone's mysterious character, who was ultimately cut from the movie before it hit theaters. While the movie still fared well at the box office ($871.8 million worldwide), it was trashed by critics (27% on Rotten Tomatoes). Some have wondered if the new footage in this extended, R-rated cut will be enough to change their opinion of the movie, but that may not be the case.
Shortly after the Ultimate Edition trailer debuted, Dawn of Justice cinematographer Larry Fong sent out an interesting message on Twitter, hinting that the extra footage in this new edition won't be enough to change your mind about the film. He...

Popular comic book artist Dave Gibbon—best known for collaborating with Alan Moore to make the legendary “Watchmen” series—did not like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. At London Comic-Con, the longtime fan favorite shared his sentiments on the failings of DC’s latest film.
When asked about Batman v Superman, Gibbons had this to say…
“I feel that what is happening now with the DC characters in film, to my mind, is going in the wrong direction... What Marvel has seemed to have done is take their characters, with a dark side and a light side, and their humor and their pathos, and their human emotion, and they actually have a long vision of what they're going to do. They put together films that are really entertaining, that are exciting, that do have threat and jeopardy, but have humor and a human quality to it, and a sense of hope.

Before the theatrical release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, rumors surfaced that Warner Bros. was putting together an R-rated special edition for its home video release. Director Zack Snyder confirmed that this Ultimate Edition will include 30 minutes of extra footage, including our first look at cast members who were cut out of the movie, including Jena Malone, Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green and iconic bodybuilder guru C.T. Fletcher. Today we finally have our first look at this Ultimate Edition with a new trailer, which reveals Jena Malone's character, who apparently works with Amy Adams' Lois Lane at the Daily Planet.
The trailer, which debuted on Youtube (via Collider), also features extended footage from the North Africa sequence, along with a new character seen scratching a Batman symbol into a lottery ticket, which he shows off to Clark Kent. There is also footage from a...

After years and years of build-up, we now live in a post-Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice world. The film, which was hyped for three years finally came out in March, and it seems everyone has had something to say about the DC flick. Every week, someone else is asked about the film, which was something of a Holy Grail property for the comic book community.
This week, there are fresh comments on the movie, and they come from two titans from that industry.
There's Frank Miller, whose classic book "The Dark Knight Returns" offered plenty of inspiration for Batman V Superman, who was recently asked about Ben Affleck's Dark Knight. The writer was somewhat tight-lipped. He appeared at MegaCon 2016 in Orlando and, when asked if the criticism the film received was unfair, all Miller would say was, "I was rooting for Batman."

While Batman v Superman has been one of the most divisive superhero movies in the history of the genre, we never really heard any fans complaining about the deluge of promotional materials that came out before the movie's debut in theaters. For the most part, the theatrical posters were welcomed with open arms. And it seems Warner Bros. did a proficient job when it came to selling the movie on opening weekend. But like with any big movie, the studio poured over quite a few concepts to get where they landed. Today, we get to see two of these rejected Dawn of Justice posters. And they perfectly capture the scarier side of these two heroes.
These posters come from a Reddit user. And as you can see, they didn't make it into the final marketing campaign, perhaps because they show Kal-El in a less than positive light. Though, after the movie debuted,...

If you're a fan of the characters of DC Comics, the last couple of months have been very eventful. One of the most highly anticipated comic book movies - perhaps ever - was released in theaters at the end of March, which paired the iconic "World's Finest" heroes together on the same screen for the first time in live-action cinema. Chances are also pretty good that when you caught wind of the critical reception to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, you were a bit disappointed. You wouldn't be the only one. Rumors of relative disarray and panic at Warner Bros. Pictures permeated in the weeks following the film's release, but outside of certain people blaming a director or producer for the film's critical disappointment, it...

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has taken in an impressive $830 million worldwide, despite critical vitriol that accompanied the film's release. The film's story was one of the more heavily criticized elements, especially for including several subplots, including Wonder Woman's introduction and a very brief setup for the Justice League, along with introducing Batman and Lex Luthor to the wider DC Extended Universe. Now, a rumoured plot synopsis has made its way online, with Movie Pilot reporting that an anonymous source close to WB and David Goyer has revealed the film's original outline (before the announcement of the film's title and premise), and it's a lot different than what Zack Snyder delivered in March. This story had the working title of World's Finest, and saw the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel in a team-up scenario, as opposed to having an adverserial relationship at first; Read on for more,...

Set shortly after the events of the 2013 film 'Man of Steel,' The global community comes to grips with the destruction of Metropolis and a young Bruce Wayne returns from his training abroad to prepare for his first true challenge. The stage will be set as the World's Finest meet for the first time.

The much hyped crossover of Supergirl and The Flash surpasses expectations. The Central City Speedster and The Girl of Steel, names they affectionately call each other, turn out to be a winning formula that should jolt CBS into renewing Supergirl for Season 2. Supergirl started strong, but ratings have dwindled dangerously. Additional episodes were ordered to give the show more time to build an audience, with no commitment from the network for a sophomore season. CBS owns part of The CW network where The Flash is a mammoth hit. Greg Berlanti, producer of both shows, engineered the crossover episode. It is a ratings stunt across networks, but the pleasant surprise is that it works. Resulting in the best episode of Supergirl yet, exactly what was needed to boost the show. There are complete spoilers below, so be forewarned.
Episode 18, World's Finest, begins with disgraced reporter, Siobhan Smythe (Italia Ricci), being examined at the D.

A few thoughts on tonight's Supergirl/Flash crossover coming up just as soon as we both have Mariah Carey... DC and Marvel have taken very different approaches to the way their film and TV properties interact, or don't, each with their own pluses and minuses. The Marvel TV shows can take clever advantage of sharing continuity with the films, like how Kingpin's scheme in Daredevil season 1 was inspired by the alien invasion from Avengers, or the shows can become largely beholden to the agendas of the films, like Agents of Shield. Fans of DC's TV shows, meanwhile, may be annoyed that the movies are considered a wholly separate thing, and that it's Ezra Miller playing the Flash on the big screen instead of Grant Gustin, but the flip side of that coin is that the TV shows don't have to be beholden to the cynical, joyless, self-loathing grimdark aesthetic of Zack Snyder's films.

Take a look @ new promo footage from the upcoming "Supergirl" episode "World's Finest", starring Melissa Benoist, in a crossover with "The Flash" (Grant Gustin) and DC Comics' 'Silver Banshee', airing March 28, 2016 on CBS:

When The Flash debuted on The CW in 2014, Grant Gustin's Barry Allen was dubbed The Fastest Man on Earth, after receiving metahuman powers following the S.T.A.R. Labs explosion. Of course, there have been a few who can contest this claim, such as the villainous Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh) and now the new Season 2 villain Zoom, a.k.a. Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears). But a new contender has entered the mix: Supergirl (Melissa Benoist). Earlier today, the Supergirl Twitter page debuted a new trailer that teases these heroes will actually race one another to determine who the fastest human really is.

Do you think they'll race like Superman raced The Flash in the comics? That would be kinda fun to see, but even if they don't, I'm sure the episode will deliver something great for the fans.
I imagine this is the first of a few team-ups we'll eventually see in the DC TV universe. I bet the next time...

Since then, we've gotten our first look at Grant Gustin's Barry Allen in photos from the set. Today, we have the first official poster and plot details from this episode, entitled World's Finest. CBS gave the following official synopsis, which arrives with a one-sheet that is a parody of the iconic Superman #199 cover from DC Comics.
Hold onto your capes and dust off your running shoes because we've got new intel on the epic Supergirl / The Flash crossover, which airs Monday, March 28 on CBS. In the episode entitled World's Finest, Supergirl joins forces with a lightning-fast-and super dreamy-hero, The Flash (Grant Gustin), to take out two villains. After a lot of back and forth "will-they won't-they" conversations between executive producer Greg Berlanti, CBS, and The CW regarding a possible crossover between The Flash and Supergirl, it's finally happening. CBS has just released a new poster (above) featuring the two beloved characters side by side, and they've already unveiled a plot synopsis for the episode, appropriately titled "World's Finest," which you can read below:
“Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”
While the Photoshop work on the poster could probably be a little better, I do like how it recalls the classic races that often happened in the comics between Superman and The Flash. Did Flash ever race Supergirl in the comics? I...

Finally, it's the moment you've been waiting for: The Flash and Supergirl are colliding. But the big crossover you've dying to see may not be what you think. In the appropriately titled "World's Finest," The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears in Supergirl's (Melissa Benoist) universe, yes Supergirl and Flash are set in alternative universes. Is CBS's Supergirl Earth-3? Anyway, The Flash appears and helps Supergirl battle Siobhan/Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) and Livewire (Brit Morgan) in exchange for her help in getting him home to his CW-set show universe. The story comes from Greg Berlanti with a teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg and Michael Grassi. To go along with the network crossover, CBS...

As many of you figured, it seems Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) will get lost during his travels through alternate universes and wind up in National City, where he'll team up with Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) to take on the combined threat of Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) and returning baddie Livewire (Brit Morgan). Take a look at the official poster and synopsis for "World's Finest" below. “Worlds Finest” – Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire, in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.

Here's a retro fan-made World's Finest mashup trailer in which Christopher Reeve's Superman teams up with Michael Keaton's Batman to fight the Joker and Lex Luthor. The video was created by YouTuber AdeelOfSteel, and I love that it honors the greatness of the Golden and Silver Age of comics when Batman and Superman were friends that worked together and not characters that kind of hate each other. ...

Welcome to the DC Weekly, where every week we cover the land of DC comics, TV, and movies. Be it random bits of news, TV show reactions, or miscellaneous reviews, editorials, or speculation, you can be sure to get your DC fix here!
This Week we take a look at the announcement video of the Batmobile car pack for the game Rocket League and watch as Lex Luthor asks comic book fans who would win in a fight: Batman or Superman? From there, I take a few minutes to talk about the rollercoaster of the Dceu and the Justice League film.
News-LETSRock the Batmobile in Rocket League
If you've ever sat down and played the game Rocket League, you may have walked away incredibly surprised that using a bunch of random cars to play soccer works as well as it does. It's a stupid-fun arcade-style video game that's unique enough to work.

Take a look @ newly leaked set images from the currently shooting "Supergirl" episode "World's Finest", starring Melissa Benoist, in a crossover with "The Flash" (Grant Gustin), featuring DC Comics' 'Silver Banshee', airing March 28, 2016 on CBS:
The CBS "Supergirl" TV series was developed by Ali Adler, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, based on the DC Comics character 'Supergirl' aka 'Kara Zor-El', created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino.
The character is costumed superheroine who is the biological cousin to 'Superman' and one of the last surviving 'Kryptonians'.
"...'Kara Zor-El' (Benoist) was sent to Earth from the doomed planet 'Krypton' as a 12-year-old by her parents 'Zor-El' (Robert Gant) and 'Alura Zor-El' (Laura Benanti).
"En route to Earth, Kara's spacecraft was diverted by a shock wave from Krypton's explosion and forced into the 'Phantom Zone', where it stayed for 24 years. By the time the spacecraft crash landed on Earth,...

A collection of photos from the set of the Supergirl and The Flash crossover episode has hit the internet featuring Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin having a little fun and seeing a little action. The episode is called "World's Finest," and as you'll see in the photos, the other characters in the episode include Silver Banshee and Livewire.
"World's Finest" is set to air on March 28th. There are no major plot details that have been revealed at this time, but it will "bring Barry Allen to National City to meet titular heroine Kara Danvers" and you can bet they'll have their hands full with Silver Banshee and Livewire.
I'm excited about this multi-verse crossover and it's going to be fun to see these two characters fight alongside each other.

Thanks to Coming Soon we have some new images from the set of the currently shooting episode of CBS' Supergirl that'll feature a guest appearnce from Grant Gustin as The Flash. There are a few shots of Gustin and Melissa Benoist sharing a laugh as they prepare to shoot a scene, and also some revealing pics of Silver Banshee alongside another villain that appears to be Livewire. I'm not up to date with Supergirl but wasn't that character killed off? Anyway, from the looks of things she's been brought back, and has teamed with Banshee to torment Cat Grant. Good thing there's a couple of superheroes in the same park, eh? The Supergirl/The Flash crossover episode is titled "World's Finest", and is set to air on March 28.

The fever pitch around the geek community is all over the lack of an apostrophe. While it may just be a typo, it could also very well be a reference to Worlds Finest. Not to be confused with the Batman and Superman team up comic, World's Finest, "Worlds Finest" followed characters from Earth 2 as they operated in the main DC universe Earth.
So Supergirl may not be from Flash's Earth, but rather an alternate universe that Flash traveled to via the speed force. Considering...

Artist Kerry Callen has created a great set to comic art that shows us whether Superman or Batman is a better superhero. This is what the artist had to say about her series:
For decades, fans have argued who is the better superhero, Superman or Batman. It recently occurred to me that the best way to determine this is to see how they’d fare if one replaced the other on their comic covers. Will one fare better than the other? This should decide once and for all who's superior! I selected six covers and then created six alternative images.
You can check all of those comic cover and alternate covers below. They are sure to give you a laugh, and I can’t argue with who the winner end up being.
First up, Superman #32. Superman is being hit by multiple lightning bolts--
--while Batman is screaming multiple obscenities. Winner,...

Last month a photo taken within an office suggested that Cartoon Network are at work on a brand new series based on the DC "Justice League" property entitled "Justice League Action" (or "Jla").
Now, the guys at World's Finest have scored confirmation from Cartoon Network's Canadian branch that a new "Justice League" series is indeed on the way and will premiere on the cable network. However the earliest likelihood of its premiere is not until Fall next year.
For those hoping to get a fix sooner, they may take comfort in the news (via FM) that all 39 episodes of the "Justice League Unlimited" series are coming to Blu-ray courtesy of the Warner Archive Collection.

ill Murray has become somewhat notorious for never picking up the phone. literally. Years ago, the legendary star decided to replace his agent with a 1-800 number and a rarely-checked answering machine, and as a result he really only ever takes on projects that spark his interest in a big way. Being super selective is obviously a nice change of pace in Hollywood, but the unfortunate side effect is that he.s missed out on being in some amazing films over the course of his career. The Washington Post has dug through author Robert Schnakenberg's new tome "The Big Bad Book Of Bill Murray: A Critical Appreciation Of The World's Finest Actor," and has culled together a list of the various big titles that Murray has missed out on in the last few decades. It.s a surprisingly substantial record, and while you can see all of the titles there,...

You have to give it to YouTuber, Bobby Burns, this was a smashing idea that was turned around on short notice. I'm sure there are more than a few fans out there who would prefer West and Reeve over Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. While we'll never see West's Batman and Reeve's Superman light up the silver screen together, we'll see modern interpretations of these characters on March 26, 2016 when director Zack Snyder unleashes his vision of the World's Finest to the masses.

Because it wasn't enough for Warner Bros. to announce nine new DC superhero movies today, the studio has also announced they have stand-alone Batman and Superman films planned as well. All of these are announcements today are to please investors and let them know that the studio is on firm ground with its biggest franchises. The Batman and Superman films aren't a total surprise, although it will be interesting to see where Warner Bros. tries to slot them. Keep in mind that Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill want to do other things with their time than wear superhero costumes, and so it will probably be a matter of scheduling. Additionally, from 2016 onwards, the studio has at least two superhero movies planned, and if any of these solo films is mammoth hit, it could rearrange things completely. If Wonder Woman kills at the box office, do you think the studio will...

DC Comics fans in particular got quite a bit out of the convention this year, not only from upcoming DC-related TV shows, but there was also a great bit of excitement surrounding a little movie called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fans in Hall H were treated to just under a minute of really cool footage promising a square-off between the World's Finest heroes, but we also got our first-ever look at Gal Gadot in costume as the third leg of DC's...
