Tyler Perry’s fruitful relationship with Netflix continues, with multiple new titles coming to Netflix within the next couple of years. Perry’s political drama She the People, starring Terri J. Vaughn, is headed to Netflix in 2025. We have our first look at the series, and we’re keeping track of everything you need to know about She the People on Netflix.

She the People is an upcoming American Netflix Original political drama directed, written, and produced by Tyler Perry. The series is produced by Perry’s in-house production, Tyler Perry Studios. Angi Bones and Tony Strickland are producers, with Niya Palmer, Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Terri J. Vaughn as the executive producers.

A new career-spanning Rush anthology titled Rush 50 will include previously unreleased tracks and fan-requested material.

Although it holds a lowly 26% Rotten Tomatoes rating and a 3.6 IMDb score, the film shows a much different side of Lutz than fans of the Twilight series are used to seeing him when he played Emmett Cullen from 2008 to 2012.

Due Justice is a vicious revenge thriller that, despite its formulaic familiarity, has performed much better on the streaming platform than it did in a limited theatrical release. For Lutz, it will be interesting to see if the movie's newfound popularity will lead to new acting opportunities or if the low ratings will hinder his future projects.

Warm-up to the 2024 Olympic Games by revisiting the underrated girl power sports classic, Stick It. Starring Jeff Bridges as an intense coach known more for injuring athletes than helping them win, the film hasn't lost its kick in today's cutthroat world of gymnastics. Featuring a young cast of teen hopefuls, Stick It cast multiple real-life competitive gymnasts in the film to give it an authentic feel, including Nastia Liukin, Maddy Curley, and Tarah Paige. Written and directed by Jessica Bendinger in her directorial debut, she had previously penned the script for Bring it On. Carrying her trademark notes of teen feminism and pep, Stick It has an edge to it, while still celebrating how tough women athletes are.

The number of movies about gifted youngsters sacrificing the traditional teen experience in favor of artistic perfection or academic excellence is immeasurable. "Stick It" peered into the world of Olympic hopeful gymnastics, "Whiplash" pulled back the curtain of elite musicianship, and "Bring It On" turned the world of competitive cheerleading into one of the greatest teen films ever made. This is all to say, coming-of-age stories in this territory are well-tread, so finding a way to stand out among so many all-time greats is a massive undertaking. Fortunately, for D.W. Waterson's directorial feature film debut, "Backspot," this stylish, unapologetically queer look at the world of All-Star Cheerleading (not to be confused with high school cheerleading) is a soaring breath of fresh air.

Despite its poor reviews, Kellan Lutz's 2014 film The Legend of Hercules has found success on Netflix's Top 10 list. Lutz's filmography has had its ups and downs, with only a few movies earning positive critical reception. The film's value lies in its entertainment factor, showcasing Lutz's ability to find projects with wide appeal.

Kellan Lutz's The Legend of Hercules didn't sit well with critics, and this continued an unfortunate streak for the actor's movies. Lutz got his big break in Hollywood in the 2006 movie Stick It, and things quickly took off from there. He has since appeared in several movies nearly every year, and franchises like Twilight made him even more familiar to audiences. Unfortunately, leading up to The Legend of Hercules, Lutz was stuck in a pretty grim Rotten Tomatoes streak, and the 2014 film did nothing to improve it.

Pam and Tommy is set to premiere on Feb. 2. Perhaps the Groundhog Day release date is intentional as the show will cover a particular moment of celebrity, sex, and exploitation from the early ’90s that seems to have repeated itself over and over. Sebastian Stan and Lily James star as Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson and the series follows the events and fallout of their homemade sex tape being stolen and unleashed on a nascent internet. If nothing else, getting the promo photos of Stan and James as the ’90s stars was worth it.

Altitude Film Entertainment has acquired international sales rights to Canadian survival thriller Out Come The Wolves ahead of next month’s online American Film Market (November 9-13).

IFC Midnight has already taken US distribution rights while levelFilm will release in Canada. The film is currently in pre-production and scheduled for a June 2021 shoot in Northern Ontario, Canada, with Canadian filmmaker Adam MacDonald directing from a script by Enuka Okuma.

After watching Frequency Season 1 Episode 5, it's easy to see why it was a no brainer to move it around the schedule and to play it against the Cma awards and the potential final game of the World Series.

Because "Seven Three" could be skipped on the DVD set with a brief montage highlighting what we already know about Stan and adding in a few sweet scenes featuring a grumpy Raimy and her proud daddy.

It's a line that kicks off one of the most dazzling opening sequences in the history of cinema, as the dying Master of the Poison Clan explains to his sixth and final pupil that there were five more before him, each trained in a unique fighting style.

The Five Deadly Venoms wear masks that hide their identity and represent their particular style. There's the Centipede, the Snake, the Scorpion, the Lizard and the Toad, and the ways in which they fight draw from each animal's characteristics. As the Master explains, Centipede and Snake know one another's identity, as do Lizard and Toad. None of the others know Scorpion.

It would have been hard to make a bad film out of a story and soundtrack as vital and compelling as Nwa's Straight Outta Compton, the riotous 1989 rap record that didn't so much break the charts and shape a genre as part-raze a city and throw a big, dirty spotlight on a country divided.

Stick it on now and it'll still blow away most things you've had on your stereo this year. Its anger tells its own story, visual accompaniment not necessary.

Yet against a backdrop of police brutality, culminating in the infamous Lapd beating of taxi driver Rodney King that triggered the La riots, this self-dramatisation of the group's controversial and life-changing rise to fame and wealth, fuelling the ever-growing status of its stars Dr Dre and Ice Cube in the process, makes for an unlikely crowd-pleaser. It made $60m, more than double its budget, in its opening weekend in the Us.

The Busan International Film Festival (Biff) held a general public hearing for the “vision for the future and reform” of the fest, led by a panel of directors Im Kwon-taek and Park Chan-wook, producer Jaime Shim, professor Min Byung-lock, producer/distributor Stanley Kwak and Biff director Lee Yong-kwan yesterday (March 10) in Seoul.

The hearing was held in part owing to a mandate from the Busan city mayor’s office that the festival create a proposal for reform ahead of its 20th anniversary. More-so than probably any other game I’ve played this year, Stick It to the Man! has a persistent atmosphere of pure weirdness. Be it the visual art style, the writing, the premise, and even the gameplay mechanics, this is a pretty goofy title. Don’t get me wrong, I mean all of that in a positive manner, because the game’s off-the-wall nature is ultimately part of its charm. An interesting fusion of 2D platformers and classic point-and-click adventures, this is a well-crafted title in almost every respect and it’s the latest indie must have.

Pitch Perfect; Seven Psychopaths; The Spirit of '45; I, Anna; May I Kill U?

"Aca-scuse me?" Variously pitched as "Glee with teeth" and "X Factor meets Mean Girls", Pitch Perfect (2012, Universal, 12) more closely resembles an anarchic mash-up of High School Musical and Best in Show, with a hint of Heathers and a smattering of Stick It thrown in for good measure. Anna Kendrick is the indie-spirited newbie at college where "organised nerd singing" is the new so-uncool-it's-cool sensation. From the moment we see the prim leader of the all-girl vocal group projectile-vomiting in the middle of an Ace of Bass tribute, you know this isn't going to be a well-behaved affair.

What follows is a tale of heats and heartbreaks, torment and Treblemakers, nobility and nodes ("they sit on your windpipe… and they crush your dreams"), a cheese-cutting satire which delivers a consistent spewy stream of laughs, screams and cackles.
