Sienna Miller, the English actress famed for her roles in movies such as Layer Cake, Alfie, Factory Girl, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, has often addressed questions about her height in interviews.
On Style.com, she mentioned standing at “five foot six.” However, in a separate interview with Allure, she stated her height as “five feet five and a half.”
Her actual height is approximately 5ft 5in (165.1 cm)—right around the average height for English women. While she may not be the tallest actress in Hollywood, Miller effortlessly elongates her frame with an impeccable selection of high heels.

If you're of a certain age, you basically grew up with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the twins who took Hollywood by storm from the late 1980s through the mid-2000s. After getting their start on an uber-popular sitcom, the twins were known for their films, many of which brought them all over the world, and it certainly seemed like they were on the brink of forming an enormous entertainment empire. Then, the two basically disappeared from the entertainment industry and shifted their focus to something completely different: high fashion.
So, why aren't the two acting anymore, and what are they doing today? More specifically, why did they leave Hollywood behind for a brand new journey ... and did any of their family members take their place on the big and small screen? (The answer to that last one is yes, actually.) Here's everything we know about the world-famous Olsen twins, why they stopped acting,...

Guy Pearce, an actor, spoke candidly with GQ magazine about his intention to take a break from major Hollywood studio films. He mentioned a limited creative atmosphere as limiting an actor’s artistic expression.
Pearce’s disenchantment began with the 2002 adaptation of H.G. Wells’ “The Time Machine.” DreamWorks and Warner Bros. produced this film, which was a critical flop and a watershed moment in Pearce’s professional career. He described the studio system as one in which actors frequently lose creative authority, leaving them powerless.
“I can’t make sense of this idea of studio films where you just get told what to do by people afraid to lose their jobs,” Pearce told the audience. He described specific instances during pre-production in which studio executives dictated his appearance without consulting him, making him feel as if his artistic instincts were neglected.
This incident exposed a larger issue in the industry.

One look at Guy Pearce’s filmography and it’s clear the actor has largely stayed away from big Hollywood studio fare over the years. One would have to go all the way back to 2013’s Marvel movie “Iron Man 3” to find Pearce’s last sizable role in a studio tentpole, although he did have smaller appearances in “Prometheus” and “Bloodshot.”
Pearce has stayed busy over the years with indie dramas and international fare, which he recently told GQ magazine was somewhat of a reaction to the bad experiences he had with a few studio films. After the success of “Memento,” Hollywood tried and failed to mold Pearce into a studio leading man with projects like 2002’s “The Count of Monte Cristo” and “The Time Machine.” The latter film, loosely based on H. G. Wells’ novel of the same name, was a notorious critical flop and a pain for Pearce to make.

The movie follow-up to Prime Video's hit series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan has added its first new cast member. The four-season series, based on Tom Clancy’s Ryanverse novels, follows the titular character, Jack Ryan (John Krasinski), as he navigates high-stakes geopolitical threats and espionage. With its modernized narrative, the spy show has earned critical acclaim for Krasinski's character-driven portrayal of the intelligence officer and ranks among Prime Video's most-watched shows globally.
The upcoming Jack Ryan movie, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, promises to expand the Ryanverse beyond the television series. Directed by series alum Andrew Bernstein and penned by season 4 writer Aaron Rabin, the feature film will reportedly include familiar faces from the series while introducing new characters to the fold. Details surrounding the plot remain classified, but Krasinski is more than ready to follow every past actor who played Jack Ryan in his first feature film as the nominal character.

Jimmy Fallons career has been widely successful, but one of his first big movie roles, Taxi, was not well-received. Fallon received the breakthrough role of his career in 1998 when he started his tenure as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. Fallon was 24 years old at the time, making a part on SNL critical to his rise in prominence as a comedian. He continued his work on Saturday Night Live for several years before ending his tenure in 2004.
During his time on Saturday Night Live, Fallon was known for his amusing roles as well as his tendency to break character. Fallon was seen laughing copious times during SNL sketches, a phenomenon that, while showing him failing to keep full composure in these comedy segments, also endeared audiences to him. After developing a fanbase on his Saturday Night Live days, Fallon transitioned into the film acting portion of his career. The result of this process,...

Star Wars is a long-running sci-fi space opera franchise with many films, TV series, and video games to back it up. Beginning the franchise with Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope in 1977, the film was expected to be a stand-alone film and was originally just marketed as Star Wars. But thanks to the extreme success of A New Hope, George Lucas expanded the film and created the Original Trilogy. The trilogy’s popularity led to a Prequel Trilogy being made between 1999 and 2005, and an eventual Sequel Trilogy from 2015 to 2019. Now, Lucasfilm is looking to develop a new trilogy set after Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker.
The Prequel Trilogy consisted of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Episode II - The Attack of the Clones, and Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. These movies introduced a new cast of actors playing either...

Hayden Christensen has had a diverse range of roles since his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars, including musician, young man in a psychological thriller, and historical character in a romantic comedy. Christensen's return to Star Wars in recent years shows his passion for the character of Anakin Skywalker and his willingness to continue exploring the role of Darth Vader. Five minutes on YouTube and you rapidly realize Andy Warhol was a baffling interview subject, unable to focus on one subject very long, unwilling or unable to commit to any particular stance or point of view, defensively using his camera to make those watching him self-conscious, preferring to pose questions than answer them. His forays into mainstream entertainment don’t make any more sense.
Warhol notoriously had a penchant for painting and repainting the same subject hundreds of time and buying the same color and brand of underwear, per The Guardian, to the point that biographers speculate he was probably was on the Autism spectrum.
Whether through intention or not, his shy, wooden persona disguised his inscrutable inner mind. His responses to questions either sounding deliberately vague or naively innocent. And this is probably what fascinated the hanger-ons and outsiders who obsessed over him. He needed people, not so much because he liked them,...

Sienna Miller now stars in Netflix’s #MeToo drama “Anatomy of a Scandal,” but the film veteran says she was not aware of a massive Hollywood scandal unfolding years ago: Harvey Weinstein’s sexual harassment and rape of actresses.
Miller, who worked with mega-producer Weinstein on 2006’s Edie Sedgwick biopic “Factory Girl,” admitted that she was completely oblivious to Weinstein’s attacks on women at the time. The Miramax and Weinstein Company executive was convicted of rape in 2020 and sentenced to 23 years in prison.
“I wasn’t scared of him, actually,” Miller told The Guardian. “And I was not aware that he was raping people.”
While Weinstein’s infamous harshness was well-known (“You weren’t really inaugurated until Weinstein made you cry”), Miller added that she “genuinely felt he’d given [her] the biggest validation” by criticizing her behind the scenes.

Sienna Miller recently told The Guardian that dating Jude Law is most likely one reason she was never abused by disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein. Miller was the star of the Weinstein-backed “Factory Girl,” in which she played Andy Warhol’s muse Edie Sedgwick. The actor said being in a relationship with Law shaped her connection with Weinstein, as she often called the producer “pops.” Law headlined several of Weinstein’s movies prior to Miller working with him, from “The Talented Mr. Ripley” to “Cold Mountain.”
“I was Jude’s girlfriend, and there was probably protection in that. Jude was a big actor for Harvey,” Miller said. “I called Harvey ‘Pops’ from day one, which I’m sure helped; you’re not going to wank on that.”
Miller recalled one day when Weinstein shouted at her, but that was the extent of which he acted rudely towards her. Weinstein took...

Across his sporadic and meager filmography, director James Cox has showcased an affinity for the quintessential bad boy in stories laced with toxic testosterone, heavy drug use and gruesome violence. Cox seems to revel in tales about young white men whose reckless ambition pushes them to commit unthinkable crimes and betray their buddies. Even if the results are catastrophic, he somehow portrays their acts not as malicious and reprehensible, but as commendable endeavors gone wrong.
This questionable bro-bravado in ingrained in 2002’s “Highway” (starring baby-faced Jared Leto and Jake Gyllenhaal), his 2003 John Holmes crime drama “Wonderland,” with Val Kilmer as the lead, and the more recent “Straight A’s,” with Ryan Phillippe and Anna Paquin. For his latest, “Billionaire Boys Club,” Cox enlists rising stars like Ansel Elgort, Emma Roberts and Taron Egerton as well as a veteran (Kevin Spacey) who up until recently could have served as a prestigious hook for the enterprise.

Timothee Chalamet is in the midst of a breakthrough year with supporting roles in “Lady Bird” and “Hostiles” and a starring performance in “Call Me by Your Name.” As a result he’s racked up two nominations at the BAFTAs: Best Actor for “Call Me” as well as the Rising Star Award for breakthrough performers. But if Chalamet wins Rising Star he would be only the third American to do so.
Chalamet has an uphill battle for Best Actor; he sits in second place in our predictions with odds of 22/1. Currently in first place is Gary Oldman for “Darkest Hour” with overwhelming odds of 1/10 for his performance as British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. And right behind Chalamet is four-time BAFTA winner Daniel Day-Lewis for “Phantom Thread” with odds of 40/1.

Chicago – The acting career of Illeana Douglas began with director Martin Scorsese and flourished in her first lead role for “Grace of My Heart” (1996). She is best known today for hosting the “Trailblazing Women” series on Turner Classic Movies, and in Part Two of a three part interview with HollywoodChicago.com, she talks about her approach as an actor and how early influences defined that style.

Chicago – Long before 2017, the year of notable recognition for women filmmakers, the actress, producer and author Illeana Douglas launched the film series “Trailblazing Women” on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) in 2015. Her goal was to achieve recognition for the pioneering efforts of women in early film history and beyond.
“Trailblazing Women” had its third season in October of 2017, and again Douglas was the host. She has been an advocate for women throughout her show business career, besides having the ancestry cache of her grandfather – Oscar-winner Melvyn Douglas – who was a movie star and character actor from the 1930s through the 1980s.

Susana Nicchiarelli's eccentric biopic about the final days of Nico, the equally eccentric former "Factory Girl" and front woman of Lou Reed's Velvet Underground, is being roundly praised following its premiere at the Venice Film Festival today. Nico, 1988 is being called authentic, while early reviews also praise a pitch-perfect performance by actress Trine Dyrholm. The first trailer for the film has appeared and if this short look is anything to go by, I think the film will be a powerhouse in terms of filmmaking, performance and music. Synopsis: Nico, 1988 is the story of Nico's last tours with the band that accompanied her around Europe in the Eighties: years in which the "priestess of darkness", as she was called, found herself again, shaking off...

The critics love The Lost City Of Z:
“One Of 2017’S Best Movies.“ -Richard Lawson, Vanity Fair
“A Ravishment For The Senses.” – Manohla Dargis, The New York Times
Charlie Hunnam (“Sons of Anarchy”), Robert Pattinson (Twilightfranchise), Sienna Miller (Factory Girl), and Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) star in Amazon Studio’s The Lost City Of Z, the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett. Certified “Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, the film centers on Fawcett (Hunnam), who disappeared in the Amazon while searching for a mysterious city. An epically scaled tale of courage and passion, told in Writer/Director James Gray’s (We Own the Night) classic filmmaking style, The Lost City Of Z is a stirring tribute to the exploratory spirit and a conflicted adventurer driven to the verge of obsession.
The Lost City Of Z is available on Digital HD, Blu-ray™/DVD Combo Pack, Blu-ray,...

The Cannes Film Festival is currently in full swing in the south of France, and one of the movies being sold to worldwide buyers at the fest is Numb, At the Edge of the End. Vmi Worldwide has debuted the first trailer for this indie thriller, as it seeks international buyers at Cannes. The film doesn't have a release date in place yet, and it doesn't seem that the film has a domestic distributor quite yet, but that may change at the festival.
The story follows Kurt Matheson (Hayden Christensen) a war veteran with Ptsd (post traumatic stress disorder) who perceives that the end of the world is coming. After establishing a relationship with a dubious Messiah (Harvey Keitel), he leaves his normal life and begins the construction of a shelter underground, training himself in an extreme way, at the cost of losing everything. He soon makes people believe he is insane.

Dubai/Exclusive: Egyptian producer Mohamed Samir has boarded Wheelchair, the first narrative feature from Little Eagles director Mohamed Rashad.
The Alexandria-set drama follows an 18-year-old who makes a life-changing discovery about his uncle. The project was previously selected for the Beirut Cinema Platform co-production market while still at treatment stage in 2015.
Samir previously produced Factory Girl, directed by the late Mohamed Khan, which screened at Diff in 2013.
Rashad, whose first feature documentary Little Eagles is screening in Diff’s Muhr Feature competition, is currently scripting Wheelchair and hopes to start shooting in 2018.
Produced by Hala Lotfy, Little Eagles is an autobiographical documentary about the impact of the revolution on the relationship between Egyptian youth and their formerly leftist parents.
“We used to have anger towards our parents for their passivity. But recent events have helped us understand how revolutionary zeal can fade,” said Rashad. “Researching this film has brought me closer to my own father.”...

2016 had Jared Leto step into the oversized clown shoes of one of the most iconic villains in comic book history – not for the last time, but more on that later – however, artnet News brings word that the Oscar-winning actor has agreed terms to play the illustrious pop culture artist for an upcoming Andy Warhol biopic.
An adaptation of Victor Bockris’ book Warhol: The Biography – itself a 2003 reissue of his The Life and Death of Andy Warhol from ’89 – it’s understood Terrence Winter (Boardwalk Empire, The Wolf of Wall Street) is attached to write the script, with Leto himself producing alongside the prolific Michael De Luca, who is currently overseeing erotic sequel Fifty Shades Darker for Universal.
In terms of Andy Warhol, much like the Joker, Jared Leto is by no means the first actor to portray the legendary artist on the big screen, with today’s news confirming that...

Khan, who made more than 20 feature-length films over his 40-year career, was known for his realistic, contemporary dramas, many of them with a social edge and featuring strong female leads.
Born in Cairo in 1942 to an Egyptian and a Pakistani father, Khan grew up in Egypt but left in his early 20s to study cinema at the London International Film School in the early 1960s.
After stints working as an assistant director in Lebanon and writing a book on Egyptian cinema back in the UK, he returned home in the early 1970s.
