NBC announces the midseason premiere dates for 15 new and returning shows as part of its 2025 broadcasting schedule. As part of the "Big Three" TV networks, NBC has been a staple of American television since 1939 and is responsible for some of the most iconic shows ever made, including shows like Friends, Seinfeld, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, currently the longest-running live-action series in American primetime TV history. 2024 has been a strong year for the network, thanks in no small part to the strong performance of its streaming platform Peacock, and further success could come in 2025.
Per Deadline, NBC has dropped the release dates for 15 shows for 2025, including some of the network's flagship titles, and exciting new premieres. Among these titles are returns from the One Chicago and Law & Order franchises, in the form of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, & Chicago P.D., Law & Order, and Law & Order: Svu,...

TV Insider recently caught up with Justin Hartley, who’s currently filming Season 2 of Tracker in Vancouver, Canada. The show’s star and executive producer revealed that his day typically starts at 5 a.m., before the sun rises (in the dark), and ends well after sundown (in the dark).
Still, the 47-year-old is very grateful for his life and success, a path that wasn’t easy. He began in the land of daytime drama when he stepped into the role of Fox Crane for the NBC soap, Passions, in 2002. He had appearances on primetime shows like Smallville, Revenge, and Mistresses, along the way. Hartley scored another major sudsy role, playing Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless from 2014-2016.

Updated: Aug. 22, 2024 - We're a month out from the launch of Fall TV and I've got to say, here at Hidden Remote we can't be anymore jazzed especially since NBC's schedule boasts the Queen of Country's return to comedy!
Reba McEntire is set to star in Happy's Place, a series that'll see her reuniting with Melissa Peterman in a plot that's likely to be as heart-warming as it is hilarious. McEntire plays Bobbie, a woman who upon inheriting her father's tavern learns that she must share ownership with Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), the half-sister she never knew she had.
This sitcom isn't the only new gut busting program NBC has set to launch. They also have a mockumentary style workplace comedy by the name of St. Denis Medical set to premiere as well. The show will take us inside an Oregon hospital that's both understaffed and underfunded much to the...

Tracker had big moments in the first season that introduced two characters who seemed like they would be big parts of Season 2. These two characters were Colter Shaw’s (Justin Hartley) brother and sister. Jensen Ackles played Russell Shaw, and Melissa Roxburgh played Dory.
However, both Ackles and Rosburgh have signed on to star in new shows, which suggests they might not be able to return to their Tracker roles. Here is what Hartley said fans can expect from these characters in the second season.
Will Colter Shaw’s Brother & Sister Be Back In Tracker Season 2?
Tracker is about Colter Shaw, a man who is a “tracker” and hires himself out to people who need to find someone who has disappeared. However, while the first season had several stand-alone adventures for Colter, his childhood and history played out throughout the season.

Exclusive: NBC has commissioned writers rooms for two hourlong projects, Grosse Pointe Garden Society, from Good Girls creator Jenna Bans and her frequent collaborator, former Good Girls executive producer Bill Krebs, as well as The Hunting Party, a high-concept crime procedural from JJ Bailey and The Endgame co-creator Jake Coburn. Universal Television, where Bans, Krebs and Bailey are under overall deals and Coburn has a first-look deal, is the studio on both.
Grosse Pointe Garden Society, which had a put pilot commitment, was one of two sales at NBC this development season for Bans and Krebs through Universal TV. NBC has split its drama slate between the two models, with two pilots, Murder By the Book and Wolf, and two writers rooms for a straight-to-series consideration.

Exclusive: Top Of The Lake and Lion producer See Saw Films has picked up TV rights to Lucy Foley’s upcoming murder mystery novel The Hunting Party, I can reveal. The novel was pre-empted by Kimberley Young at HarperFiction in a strong six-figure deal in December 2017 and is slated for hardback publication in 2019.
The plot of the Scottish highlands-set murder mystery unfolds over New Year’s Eve as a tight-knit group of Oxford university alumni celebrate in the impressive wilderness of the Loch Corrin Estate. In the wild terrain the group reminisce, go deer stalking, and hide friendship-destroying secrets; secrets that set a dangerous sequence of events in motion, culminating with a broken body in the snow.
Best known for her sweeping wartime historical fiction, Foley’s debut novel, The Book Of Lost And Found, was acquired at auction by HarperFiction in 2013, and was one of the top selling debuts of the year.

Ed Sheeran will land his first No. 1 album next week as “X” easily tops the Billboard 200. It’s a good week to be a British singer/songwriter. Following Sheeran at No. 1 (with sales of up to 210,000), Sam Smith’s “In The Lonely Hour” will hold at No. 2 (72,000). The second of four debuts comes in at No. 3, as rapper G-Easy’s “These Things Happen” sells 48,000. Also bowing in the top 10 will be hard rock heavyweights Mastadon with “Once More ‘Round The Sun” at No. 8 (28,000), and Phish, whose “Fuego” swims in at No. 9 (28,000). This week’s No. 1, Lana Del Rey’s “Ultraviolence” will likely drop to No. 4 (45,000). The unsinkable soundtrack to “Frozen” remains afloat at No. 5 (40,000). Miranda Lambert’s “Platinum” falls to No. 6 (30,000) and Linkin Park’s “The Hunting Party,” drops to No. 7(30,000). The guy is crazy talented and I know he's been trying to direct a feature film for years. I'm happy to report that it's finally happened for him and he just made a distribution deal for it.
The movie is called Mall, and it's based on Eric Bogosian's 2001 novel of the same name. The story revolves around "five disaffected suburbanites whose lives come together at a shopping mall following a seemingly random shooting." This looks like a solid movie. We actually have a trailer for it for you to check out below, and an international poster that I found above. Apparently, the film was already released in France.

Lana Del Rey earns her first No. 1 album as sophomore set "Ultraviolence" takes the top of The Billboard 200 with 182,000 copies. Her debut album "Born to Die" made it to No. 2 in January 2012, with 77,000 sold, according to Nielsen Soundscan. British singer-songwriter Sam Smith bows at No. 2 with "In the Lonely Hour," moving 166,000. Sales were driven in part by the popularity of his single "Stay With Me." Linkin Park's new "The Hunting Party" moved enough for No. 3, with 110,000. The vets last rocked the chart in 2012 with "Living Things," which made it to No. 1 with 223,000. The "Frozen" soundtrack falls No. 3 to No. 4 with 42,000 (-15%). Willie Nelson's "Band of Brothers" starts at No. 5 with 37,000, making it his highest charting album since "Always on My Mind" made it to No. 2 in 1982. Miranda Lambert's "Platinum" descends No. 2 to No. 6 (34,000, -45%) and Jack White's No. 1 "Lazaretto" album is now No. 7 (34,000, -75%). Jennifer Lopez' "A.

Next week proves to be a big week for debuts in the Billboard 200 top 10 as Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith, and Linkin Park all top the 100,000 mark. Though Smith’s “In The Lonely Hour” is coming on strong, heading into the weekend, Del Rey’s “Ultraviolence” has a good lead on the British newcomer, as the chanteuse’s second full-length album is on target to sell up to 190,000 copies and bow at No. 1. “Hour”is looking good for 160,000 and No. 2, but with the chart not closing until Sunday night, there could be a weekend surprise. Linkin Park’s latest, “The Hunting Party,” will slide into six figures, selling as many as 110,000 copies in its opening frame to enter at No. 3. Also bowing in the top 10: Willie Nelson’s “Band of Brothers” make a high debut for the troubadour, landing at No. 6 (40,000); Jennifer Lopez’s “A.K.A.” at No.

Director Richard Shepard makes tonally risky choices. The Matador and The Hunting Party are broad comedies, but they also focus on characters with serious problems. Shepard doesn’t play those personal conflicts as jokes, either. He takes their predicaments very seriously, no matter how goofy his characters may act. These three dramatic comedies, including his latest film, Dom Hemingway, are driven by the loss of a loved one. In the case of Dom Hemingway, the narrative is also propelled by a potbellied, foul mouth, unhinged and egotistical safe-cracker named Dom Hemingway (Jude Law). This is a man who loves his name, himself, and, of course, his cock. You read that last part right. The film opens with Dom discussing what a wonderful piece of equipment he has. Needless to say, he’s a magnetic character who is, maybe not a good person, but someone you root for, if only because he knows how to talk about himself...

Dom Hemingway just got out of jail. Dom wants what he's owed. That may turn out to be a tall order. Featuring a balls-to-the-wall performance by Jude Law, "Dom Hemingway" is the relatively new dramatic thriller from writer/director Richard Shepard. Best known for "The Matador" and "The Hunting Party," Shepard has spent a good amount of time in television recently, directing six episodes of "Girls" and the new Wgn series "Salem." He is a man of many talents, but when he is writing his own work on the big screen, it usually includes a significant amount of dark comedy. And when we say dark, we mean almost crossing the line dark (in the best way possible). After debuting at the Toronto Film Festival last September and earning a release in the UK in November, "Dom Hemingway's" self-destructive antics are heading to U.S. theaters next month. Fox Searchlght...

Jude Law seems to be on a career upswing and we couldn't be happier. After being poised as the next big thing, Law starred in a number of huge (and hugely forgettable) movies like "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" and "Alfie." But now, he seems to be finding his footing again, costarring in two wildly successful "Sherlock Holmes" movies with Robert Downey, Jr. and getting a creative shot-in-the-arm from a pair of collaborations with Steven Soderbergh ("Contagion" and "Side Effects"). His next movie looks like a lot of fun, too.
The movie is "Dom Hemingway," and in it Law stars as the title character, a boozy, druggy criminal who has just been released from prison after serving 12 years. The film recently played at the Toronto International Film Festival and opens in the U.K. on November 15 and the in the U.S. in April 2014. In this new clip from Total Film,...

For a while it looked like Jude Law had lost his way. There are only so many "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"s that one career can endure. But, little by little, he brought himself back up, smartly choosing roles that accentuated his roguish charm while never finding himself in the hey-i'm-a-big-time-star crosshairs that threatened his career in the first place, first playing second fiddle to Robert Downey Jr.'s titular "Sherlock Holmes," and then playing strong character parts in Steven Soderbergh's "Contagion" and "Side Effects" (movies that are, in some ways, companion pieces).
It's good to have you back, Jude!
His latest looks like a hoot, too. "Dom Hemingway" (trailer below), which recently played at the Toronto International Film Festival, sees Law turning the roguish charm-o-meter to 11 as a bank thief who, released from prison after 12 years, goes about collecting what's owed him and reconnecting with...

Jude Law is one of those actors that I really want to like. Yes, he has been excellent in the Sherlock Holmes films as well as the recent Steven Soderbergh movies Contagion and Side Effects, but I just feel like he is playing variations on the same character over and over. What Jude Law needs to do is play someone unlike any character he has played to date. That may very well be the title role in Dom Hemingway. Directed by Richard Shepard (The Hunting Party, I Knew It Was You), Dom...

With the exception of Guy Ritchie.s Sherlock Holmes movies, Jude Law doesn.t often get to showcase any comedic abilities he has. The film was written and directed by Richard Shepard (The Hunting Party), who last directed some recent episodes of Girls. Fox Searchlight Pictures has acquired North American rights to "Dom Hemingway," the company presidents Stephen Gilula and Nancy Utley announced today. Directed by Richard Shepard, whose last feature was 2007's "The Hunting Party," the black comedy stars Jude Law as the title character, a short-tempered safecracker fresh out of twelve-year stint in prison trying to reconnect with his daughter as well as receive what he is owed for keeping his mouth shut and taking one for the team. Fox Searchlight currently have the film scheduled for a 2014 release. "We were so attracted to this film, with its rich array of characters and sharp dialogue. Jude Law's clever and outrageous performance as Dom is completely transformative, unlike anything you have seen him do before," said Utley and Gilula. In addition to Law, the film also features Richard E. Grant of "Doctor Who" as Dom's partner in crime Dickie, Oscar-nominee Demián Bechir as Dom's boss,...

Directed by: Nicholas Jarecki
Cast: Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Brit Marling, Tim Roth
Running Time: 1 hr 40 mins
Rating: R
Release Date: September 14, 2012
Plot: Robert (Gere) runs a trading company and has taken a lot of risks. Now his company is desperate, but that’s nothing compared to the mess he’s gotten into with his personal life. A troubled hedge fund magnate desperate to complete the sale of his trading empire makes an error that forces him to turn to an unlikely person for help.
Who’S It For? This is an adult drama that affectively sprinkles in some soap-opera drama. It’s also one of the “really good” Gere performances.

At this point in time, Jude Law seems to have found his place in the Hollywood star system. He's been cropping up in movies for over fifteen years, but he was always more of a character actor than a leading man, and when pushed into more traditional star roles, in films like "Enemy At The Gates," "Cold Mountain" and "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow," he always sat a little uncomfortably. But these days, he gets to play second fiddle in the mega-hit "Sherlock Holmes" franchise, a far more natural fit, which gives him the freedom to tackle quirkier supporting roles in films like "Contagion."
But for the right project, his leading man days aren't over, and the actor's just signed up to a very promising-sounding dark comedy, with the Hollywood Reporter bringing news that Law is now attached to "Dom Hemingway," a new film written and directed by Richard Shepard,...
