Olivia Rodrigo and The 1975 are set to headline Glastonbury 2025.

Matty Healy and his band will take to the Pyramid stage Friday as the Guts singer performs the Sunday slot at the U.K.’s biggest music festival, running June 25-29 at Worthy Farm, Somerset.

Neil Young, Charli Xcx, Noah Kahan, The Prodigy, Raye, Loyle Carner, Gracie Abrams and more have also been confirmed to perform, alongside the previously announced Rod Stewart, who has nabbed the fest’s Legends slot.

It will be a first Glastonbury headline performance for Rodrigo and The 1975. The American singer shot to stardom with her debut album Sour, known for songs “Drivers License,” “Good 4 U” and “Deja Vu,” later achieving more success with her second album, Guts.

The 21-year-old Grammy-winning singer’s song “deja vu” was used for a post on Team Trump’s TikTok account about the President-elect’s 2024 Election win.

In a new interview with Empire to promote Ridley Scott's Gladiator II, Washington also addressed working with the two brothers. The actor collaborated with Ridley Scott before on 2007's American Gangster, which also featured former Gladiator protagonist Russell Crowe. As for his projects with the late director Tony Scott, he worked with him five times on several films, including 2006's Deja Vu, 2004's Man on Fire, and 2010's Unstoppable. After collaborating with them multiple times, Washington praised both filmmakers.

K-Pop boy group Tomorrow X Together, better known as Txt, is (virtually) heading on the road for a new concert tour.

The five-piece boy group, who recently wrapped up the American leg of their world tour “Act: Promise,” have announced their first VR concert tour. Big Hit Music, Txt’s label, and their parent company Hybe have partnered with virtual reality concert company AmazeVR for the theater event.

“Hyperfocus” is slated to hit theaters in five US cities, starting in Los Angeles on Aug. 8 before heading to Buena Park, Houston, Chicago and New York City. While the concept of VR is hardly new, a theater tour is somewhat unique.

AmazeVR described the event as “an immersive experience where every fan has front-row seats.” Ticket holders will be able to watch the concert with fellow fans in a theater while each wearing VR headsets. The company says the setup creates a “one-of-a-kind communal fan experience.

John Barbata, who played on the final Jefferson Airplane album and was successor band Jefferson Starship original drummer and also made hit records with The Turtles and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, has died. He was 79.

He died May 8 in Oklahoma. Barbata’s death was confirmed on the official Facebook pages of the Starship and Airplane, but neither provided details.

“We are saddened to hear of the passing of the great John Barbata, Jefferson Starship’s original drummer,” reads the Starship post. “Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans. Rock in peace, Johnny!”

Barbata played on the final Jefferson Airplane studio album, 1972’s Long John Silver, and them toured with the group. He is heard on the 1973 live disc Thirty Seconds over Winterland. When the Airplane rebranded as Jefferson Starship soon after, he was among the originals along with Airplane alums Grace Slick, Paul Kantner and others.

On Friday night, at Palm Springs, California’ Acrisure Arena, Rodrigo cemented her position in pop culture as a generation-defining artist. As a rockstar. And as an energy-filled idol that is only just beginning her career.

Welcomed by a roaring audience of lavender-dressed kids, Gen Z’eers, gays, and cool moms, Rodrigo took the stage in a sparkly silver two-piece for “Bad Idea Right” following an intro that brought the Guts album cover art to life.

Olivia Rodrigo just launched her Guts Tour and the setlist has been revealed!

The 21-year-old singer kicked off the tour with a show at the Acrisure Arena on Friday night (February 23) in Thousand Palms, Calif.

Olivia now has two albums to promote on her tour – Sour and Guts - and she performed nearly every song from both of them. Only two songs from Sour were left off the list.

The tour will continue through August with shows all across the world. She will be joined on the road by Chappell Roan, The Breeders, Pinkpantheress, and Remi Wolf.

The Guts World Tour marks Olivia‘s first arena tour and she’ll be playing iconic venues like Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
