2006 was a good year for Denzel Washington on the big screen, because he starred in two high-grossing, high-quality thrillers: "Deja Vu" and "Inside Man." Just as "Deja Vu" was "Vertigo" as a time-traveling action movie, "Inside Man" was director Spike Lee's 21st century update on Sidney Lumet's "Dog Day Afternoon."
Written by Richard Gerwitz, "Inside Man" follows a hostage situation during a robbery at a Manhattan bank. Washington plays NYPD hostage negotiator Detective Keith Frazier, squaring off against the robbers' leader, Dalton Russell (Clive Owen). The story didn't begin with Lee (Ron Howard was in talks to direct "Inside Man" first), but he made it his own. "Inside Man" is definitely more of a crowd pleaser than something like "Do The Right Thing," as seen by it also being Lee's highest-grossing film to date, but it's absolutely a Spike Lee joint.

Hollywood icon Denzel Washington is currently lighting up the silver screen once again in Gladiator 2, with one of the actors most divisive movies all set to land on free streaming next month. Elvis Costello has once again explained why he didn’t get litigious over similarities between his “Pump It Up” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Brutal,” and even defended the pop singer over the track.
When “Brutal” first arrived as the opening track on Rodrigo’s Sour back in 2021, listeners were quick to note how similar the single’s chord structure was to Costello’s 1978 hit.

Simone Baldasseroni has come to mainstream attention thanks to his role in the 2024 Netflix movie, The Tearsmith, but the Italian actor has been acting and singing for some years in his native Italy. The Tearsmith is a 2024 Italian teen romance film by Alessandro Genovesi that premiered on Netflix on April 4, 2024. The film ended up becoming the number one movie on the platform three days after its release, with much of the success being attributed to the leads, Simone Baldasseroni and Caterina Ferioli as Rigel Wilde and Nica Dover, respectively (via MSN).
Simone Baldasseroni's character in the cast of The Tearsmith is a moody teenager, who is adopted by a family who had already adopted a daughter many years before. It's a tale of forbidden love and trauma and while the film has a 14% on Rotten Tomatoes, it's a showcase for Baldasseroni's talents. Born on December 19, 1998, in Italy, Simone Baldasseroni is...

During his lifetime, David Bowie managed to score Number One hits in two different genres: the sleazy glam of “Fame” reached the top in 1975, followed by the dance-pop of “Let’s Dance” eight years later. One thing he never attained, though, was a chart-topping country hit. But now, eight years after his death, Bowie can posthumously add the milestone to his discography.
Well, sort of.
This week, Chris Young’s “Young Love & Saturday Nights,” a country single first released in July 2023, reached Number One on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase country radio chart.

'They Can't Miss': Denzel Washington Praises Tony and Ridley Scott After Latest Role in Gladiator II
Two-time Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington's career includes over 60 acting credits, and he collaborated with many critically acclaimed directors. He also got to work with Tony and Ridley Scott on several projects and had nothing but good words about both of them.
In a new interview with Empire to promote Ridley Scott's Gladiator II, Washington also addressed working with the two brothers. The actor collaborated with Ridley Scott before on 2007's American Gangster, which also featured former Gladiator protagonist Russell Crowe. As for his projects with the late director Tony Scott, he worked with him five times on several films, including 2006's Deja Vu, 2004's Man on Fire, and 2010's Unstoppable. After collaborating with them multiple times, Washington praised both filmmakers.

The filmography of the late, great Tony Scott is packed with Denzel Washington favourites – from Man On Fire and Crimson Tide, to Déjà Vu and Unstoppable. The director and star had a real creative chemistry spanning years, right up until Scott’s untimely death in 2012. And now, for the second time, Washington is collaborating with Scott’s similarly legendary filmmaker brother Ridley, stepping into Gladiator II – their first work together since 2007’s American Gangster.

K-Pop boy group Tomorrow X Together, better known as Txt, is (virtually) heading on the road for a new concert tour.
The five-piece boy group, who recently wrapped up the American leg of their world tour “Act: Promise,” have announced their first VR concert tour. Big Hit Music, Txt’s label, and their parent company Hybe have partnered with virtual reality concert company AmazeVR for the theater event.
“Hyperfocus” is slated to hit theaters in five US cities, starting in Los Angeles on Aug. 8 before heading to Buena Park, Houston, Chicago and New York City. While the concept of VR is hardly new, a theater tour is somewhat unique.
AmazeVR described the event as “an immersive experience where every fan has front-row seats.” Ticket holders will be able to watch the concert with fellow fans in a theater while each wearing VR headsets. The company says the setup creates a “one-of-a-kind communal fan experience.

Spoiler Alert for “Ratfish (Part 1)”: Coming out in 2019 after the success of unscripted content for Dropout, Game Changer was an instant hit on the platform. Now, six seasons later, host Sam Reich is still working to bring “consistently original” ideas to the show with no signs of stopping. “Every season, I feel like I fly a little closer to the sun,” says Reich. “And every season, the response I get from the audience is like, ‘This was the best yet,’ which is a very dangerous thing to tell me as I push it more and more, further and further.”
Hosted by Reich, Dropout’s Game Changer is a game show where the premise changes every episode and the contestants must learn the rules as they play. Among the assortment of games, season 6 has seen contestants search for buzzers in a simple trivia game-turned-scavenger hunt for “Beat the Buzzer”, trapped...

What might make a game of bingo more interesting than your standard gymnasium raffle affair? Well, comedians answering humorous prompts to get bingo balls would spice it up. So would a secret set of players hidden in a green room looking to achieve bingo — not by checking off numbers on a board, but by tracking the quirks and behavior of their friends playing the first game. So would an even more secret set of players trying to get bingo based on the green room players’ interactions with each other and the film crew. That’s the idea behind “Bingo,” the fifth episode in Season 6 of the relentlessly inventive show “Game Changer.”
The Dropout series is described by host Sam Reich at the top of each episode as “the only game show where the game changes every show.” Six seasons of new games — and new twists on “game samers” — lock the...

Beyonce‘s career breakthrough came in the 1990s as a teenage member of Destiny’s Child. But since then she has established herself as one of the biggest music stars of the 21st century. So naturally it’s challenging to narrow down the greatest hits of her career … not that we let that stop us from trying, though. Scroll down for our countdown of her best songs — including “Countdown”! Do you agree with how we rank them?
Destiny’s Child had several hits including “Survivor” and “Bills, Bills, Bills,” but it was “Say My Name” that earned Beyonce her first Grammys when she was only 19: Best R&b Duo/Group Performance and Best R&b Song. She has since become one of the most awarded individuals in Grammy history, the most awarded woman in history, and the most nominated woman in history. But most of the top categories have eluded her.

Singer Olivia Rodrigo got some adorable dating advice from a little boy. The 20-year-old singer recently appeared on the Recess Therapy show and she straight-up asked a little boy named Miles for dating advice, reports etonline.com.
“How do you think that I find love in my life,” she asked, prompting Miles to respond with, “Pick a person that looks kind.”
The most adorable part came right after, when Miles put his tiny hand on Rodrigo’s knee before telling her, “I really hope you find love.”
Rodrigo was visibly moved by the kind gesture, but Miles wasn’t done yet.
He had her and host Julian Shapiro-Barnum cracking up when Miles also shared, “The only person you can’t marry is your cousins.”
The sweet advice comes not long after Rodrigo dropped ‘Vampire’, which made waves after fans speculated the track is about her ex, Zack Bia.

Olivia Rodrigo is well-known for writing songs that lead to rumors. A lot of her entire first album, "Sour," was rumored to be about her "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" costar Joshua Bassett, but Rodrigo and Bassett have never actually confirmed or denied whether that's true. Now, Rodrigo's sophomore album "Guts" is here, and fans once again think she's targeting a star in some of her lyrics. This time, though, that celeb is none other than Taylor Swift.
When asked about the alleged feud, though, Rodrigo denied the rumors to Rolling Stone in a Sept. 12 feature, telling the outlet that "I don't have beef with anyone."
