Romulus, My Father (2007)

Goofs

Romulus, My Father

Edit

Continuity

The black eye and cut on Christina's face changes in different shots.

Factual errors

In the diner scene, Christina plays the record "My Prayer" by the Platters on the Laurie label. The record was actually released on Mercury.

Anachronisms

In the scene in the diner in which Christina plays a record on the jukebox, the jukebox is marked "Stereophonic." In 1962, stereophonic jukeboxes didn't exist and 45 rpm records (which is what the jukebox in the film plays) were mono only.
The Sun Records pressing of Jerry Lee Lewis's "Real Wild Child," played several times in the movie, could not have existed in 1962. Lewis did record the song for Sun, but in the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth (which includes Australia), Sun records were released on the Decca label under license from the U.S.-based Sun company. The record could not be an American import, either, because it has a small spindle hole instead of the large hole on all American 45s of the period.
