    What a waste of time.

This film appeared to be a nice comedy based on the user ratings, so I decided to check it out. Wow, was this thing awful, seriously.

I give it 3 of 10 just for the effort to make a film, but it probably does not even deserve that. Some of the ideas of the film seem good, but the direction, development, and acting were really bad. Varoni was the worst, yet he was great in "Ladrón que roba a ladrón"(a very good comedy). The timing, the music score, everything made this film look like it was developed for those 12 and under.

As a Spanish instructor, I like to show a good Spanish language comedy to college students learning the language, as it tends to keep them interested. This film does have easy to read English subtitles, and the language is easy enough to understand, but it is not a good film, and a waste of 90 minutes of one's time.

    Three generations

The idea of having three generations of men living together is something one doesn't get to see often. This sunny comedy from Colombia offers some interesting ideas about what these men go through when circumstances dictate they must inhabit the family home together without the help of any female interference.

The grandfather, who loves the companion of his cronies, sees how suddenly he gets isolated because the government has decided to deposit his checks directly and he doesn't even get a chance to trade gossip with the old friends. But being resourceful enough, he finds a way to get all the friends together in a small business venture. The father, a music lover, is told by his wife that she's transferring to another city to do what she has been denied. He loves music, but he is not practical about it. When he acquires a huge organ, his household begins to suffer because of his folly. The youngest member of this crazy household loves the girl next door, although her father wants to keep him away from her.

This sunny comedy from Colombia written and co-directed by Dago Garcia, turned out to be a pleasant way to spend the evening. The other director is Juan Carlos Vasquez. The cast proves to be the best asset for the film, especially Jaime Barbini, the grandfather, and Miguel Baroni, who plays the father. Juan Fernando Sanchez, as the younger member of the trio, is the less effective. Patricia Ercole and Adelina Guerrero have some good moments also.
