Mumbai, March 28: Television actress Roshni Chopra, who lost 18 kg since the birth of her first child in November last year, says nowadays it's very important to be "skinny" or "size zero" for survival in showbiz.
Seen in popular TV show "Kasamh Se", Roshni also hosted shows like "India's Got Talent" and "Comedy Circus Teen Ka Tadka".
"There is a lot of pressure to look good in the industry. When we look at 1960s, 1970, and 1990s, actresses were not expected to be skinny. But now you are expected to be size zero. You have to be fit," Roshni, who is married to Siddharth Anand Kumar, told Ians.
During her pregnancy she put on weight, but says she was doing yoga till the last day. "What helps is that if the body is.

"After a point, it does get monotonous. You always want to try different things. I have been travelling a lot because of the show. And whenever you go out and meet people, you feel reassured," he told Ians.
Vishal earlier did shows like "Kasamh Se" and "Kuchh Is Tara", but his association with "Saath Nibhana Saathiya" has been "the longest".

Mumbai, Feb 13: She made it big with television show, but actress Prachi Desai does not approve of how the medium has become today and feels that it is regressive in nature.
"I think, I was a part of TV in a more fortunate time. Even though my story was of a girl being in love with an older man, it was a slightly modern drama as compared to what it is right now. It is extremely regressive," she told Ians in an interview.
Before venturing into movie with 2008 hit "Rock On!!", she featured as Bani Walia in hit show "Kasamh Se" in 2006.

Ouatim star, Prachi Desai has openly spoken out about the biased that occurs in the Indian film industry. The star, whose career took off with the hit Indian T.V. soap, Kasamh Se, has recently stated that children of successful Bollywood stars (Aka star kids) are, according to her, ‘offered films on a platter’.
To further elaborate Desai further stated, “But I still think that I will always have to struggle, since I am not an industry kid. I think outsiders don’t fit in as well as star kids do. We outsiders are not given as many chances; it’s very rare to bag a great film. But star kids are offered films on a platter, even though most of the time their films flop! With all due respect, I think I am honest when I say it’s always going to be difficult for outsiders.”

Prachi Desai is one of the few outsiders who have managed to make it big in filmdom. But the actress, who hopes to do 25 films in future, says it is not so easy for such people to get first break in Bollywood.
“I feel that the industry can be unfair sometimes. When you are an outsider, people don’t take you seriously. I personally think you need an extreme push for people to promote you and bring you to a certain level,” said the 23-year-old.
The young actress, who started her career as the lead in TV show “Kasamh Se”, made her Bollywood debut opposite Farhan Akhtar in “Rock On!!”. She was then seen in “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai”, in which she was paired with Emraan Hashmi, and also was in the cast of recently released “Teri Meri Kahaani”.Read More...

Mumbai, Aug 13: Remember Roshni Chopra? Pia of “Kasamh Se” serial? We don’t blame you for not remembering her, since she has vanished from the limelight for quite a long time. She tried her hands in television, also in reality shows, but she could not make a mark in the industry, and decided to take a break.
Roshni is back again with a hindi film now. She is playing a vital role in Vikram Bhatt’s thriller “Phirr”. She is portraying the character of a Nri woman, yet very desi at heart. Who else can play the role of a desi gal except our Roshni? Dont you know she won the tag of Desi gal in Imagine TV’s “Dil.

Prachi Desai finally seems to have moved on. The actor, who got her big break in Ekta Kapoor’s TV show Kasamh Se in 2006, had apparently fallen out with the TV producer a few years ago. But when they worked together on Ekta’s 2010 production Once Upon A Time... In Mumbaai, most thought the hatchet had been buried. Unfortunately when Prachi, who was once Ekta’s favourite, did not feature in any of Balaji Film’s future projects, the impression changed.Taking that as a hint, the actor has now gone ahead and signed three films outside the banner.
