Jason Isaacs admits that the process of filming the Harry Potter movies was actually “quite boring.”

During a recent interview on BBC’s The One Show, the actor looked back at playing Lucius Malfoy in six of the eight blockbuster films, which starred Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

“It’s a terrible confession to make, they weren’t that much fun to make. It’s quite boring, making big special effects films,” he said. However, it’s what came after the movies that was most memorable.

“The pleasures all come afterwards,” Isaacs explained. “I see and meet people for whom their lives were changed by it, and still people reading it and sharing it with their children. Some people say their lives were saved by it and I believe it”.

He continued, “There’s something [that] happened — who knows why — when those ingredients came together and the souffle rose...

The original Harry Potter film series was as magical as it gets, and part of the franchise's appeal rests on the chemistry of the actors. However, although the result was magical, filming it wasn't, per one franchise star.

Gregg Wallace has stepped aside as the host of BBC MasterChef amid an investigation into historical allegations of misconduct.

In a statement, MasterChef producer Banijay UK said it was launching the external review after complaints were made to the BBC this week about Wallace’s behavior.

BBC News has published allegations Wallace made “inappropriate sexual comments” on five shows across a 17-year period. One of 13 people who made the allegations included Kirsty Wark, the former BBC Newsnight presenter who was a Celebrity MasterChef contestant in 2011.

Wark said Wallace told stories and made jokes of a “sexualized nature” on at least two occasions in front of colleagues and contestants. “People were uncomfortable,” she said.

In a letter to BBC News, Wallace’s lawyers denied he engaged in behavior of a “sexually harassing nature.” His spokesperson declined to comment beyond the Banijay UK statement.

The BBC is urgently pulling all episodes of its hit show The Repair Shop featuring Jay Blades, after the presenter was charged with alleged domestic abuse offences Friday.

Viewers expecting to tune in Friday evening for an episode of another crafting show featuring Blades saw a change in the TV schedule, following Blades’ appearance in court yesterday to face the charges.

Blades is not set to appear in next week’s episode of The Repair Shop, but the show is midway through its 13th series and The Times reports that the broadcaster is now making urgent plans to to avoid broadcasting episodes in which Blades appears.

The primetime restoration show draws a weekly audience of approximately 2.5million viewers, and there are 300 episodes available on the BBC’s catch-up service iPlayer. These will remain in place with Blades being featured, according to The Times.

A fired BBC sports presenter has denied fresh claims that he sent a woman unsolicited inappropriate pictures while on overseas duty covering the football World Cup for the corporation.

Jermaine Jenas was a presenter of sports programs and magazine show The One Show until a fortnight ago, when the BBC fired him following claims he had sent inappropriate text messages to other members of the production team. Jenas apologised for his behaviour, but said he had done nothing illegal, and all the messages were consensual.

Saturday morning The Daily Mail newspaper reported another woman had met Jenas in December 2022 in Doha, during his time working there covering the World Cup.

The woman, a waitress and party planner, alleged the former football star pestered him for bikini pictures, and shared some alleged messages between the pair.

By Saturday afternoon, a source “close to Jenas” had told The Sun newspaper he denied...

The BBC presenter fired this week has broken his silence to admit he sent “inappropriate messages” to two colleagues.

Former footballer Jermaine Jenas gave an interview to The Sun in which he said he was “ashamed” and “had let everybody down.”

He revealed he had sent messages to two female colleagues on the BBC’s daily evening magazine TV program The One Show, but said he done nothing illegal, that the messages were sent to “two consenting adults,” and that he was “not a sex pest.”

Following previous incidents in which the BBC had been criticised for not acting swiftly enough in dealing with claims made against some of their high-profile faces, the broadcaster terminated Jenas’s contract on Thursday, several weeks after the allegations came to light. No further details of Jenas’s departure have been revealed.

In the interview Jenas added:

In an interview on TalkSport as the news broke, Jenas said he couldn’t say too much but is “not happy about this situation. You know, I’m going to be speaking to my lawyers about it — that is all I can say right now.

Lauper went on to name 2020’s folklore as the album that made her a fan. “I first started listening during the pandemic,” she explained, “when she went and hibernated and did that wonderful folk record. It was wonderful. I’m proud of her.”

Mosley was on vacation with his wife, Clare Bailey Mosley, when he went out for a walk on the Greek island of Symi. When he didn’t return, he was reported missing on Wednesday and a search of the area began. On Sunday, BBC reported that a body was found in the search for Mosley.

During an interview on BBC’s The One Show on May 28, Bon Jovi was asked how the newlyweds were doing, to which he replied, “They’re great.”

Ballerina, the John Wick spin-off starring Ana de Armas, has delayed its release by a year to allow for the filming of new material, and now, one of the stars of the franchise has shed light on the reasons behind that decision. Ian McShane, who plays Winston in the films, recently appeared on BBC’s The One Show and spoke quite candidly about the studio bringing in John Wick's director Chad Stahelski after they weren’t satisfied with the original cut of the spin-off.

The John Wick franchise is meant to expand with several spinoffs and original franchise star Ian McShane explained the delays for the Ballerina.

Ballerina, which stars Ana de Armas in the lead role, has just been delayed further. Lionsgate announced the film, which had an original release date of June 7, 2024, will be delayed a year. The film is now meant to hit theaters on June 6, 2025. In a recent appearance on The One Show (via X/ @Adam_Khan100), Ian McShane, who plays Winston Scott in the John Wick franchise and will reprise his Winston in Ballerina, revealed that the delays aren't because of "reshoots, it's new shoots."
