Fans started a petition to get the show renewed after it was canceled after only three seasons, sadly it did not succeed.
Misery's sleep-singing voice is provided by Jeen O'Brien, who also sings the theme song.
The series never aired in the United States on regular television, with its only exposure being when Netflix picked up the show for a while in 2014 (six years after it ended in Canada).
Although elusive, the series' pitch pilot shows some significant differences from the original show. The animation was done entirely in CGI instead of 2D Flash, while the general tone was much darker and more cynical, not unlike the original artworks by Martin Hsu.
